Lots of great techniques! Personally I like the low key version the best. Notwithstanding, there are lots of good things here to add to your toolbox of options, to be utilized at your own discretion, and in accordance with the requirements of your target audience.

Great video! Only one thing, haha. The background music was a tad high, making it a bit difficult hearing you at some portions of the video. I would definitely be using your tips for my editing. It’d be great to see more on frequency separation👍🏾

Thank you for your comment Dorthe & I'm so glad you liked the film! I'll keep that in mind for my upcoming content- there's plenty more for Affinity Photo to come!

So far, I’m half way through. Lots and lots of material here. Your audience must be way above my skill level. Even at the halfway point, I was mostly lost. For some steps, it would have been nice if you identified a problem and stated how you intended to solve it before going into the step by step.
Now, if you do those videos you referred to, I’d watch.
If you did an introductory layers video I’d watch. Layers above, below, grouped, etc. type of thing.
    Thanks! I’m going to subscribe.

Thanks and appreciate your time and sharing the knowledge. Video is very informative and useful. The one thing I noticed when I am following the steps, when I click 'Add new Pixel Layer' I am getting a transparent background icon and screen, but in your video its black. Can you shed some more information on this. Thanks.

This was really a great video. I discovered your channel today and looked at several for Affinity Photo. Great videos all of them. I like the way you did Frequency separation. I have never think about putting the dodge&burn between the FB layers, great idea. You have a reason for that? Do you always use Affinity photo also for your raw file work? Not using Lightroom or other raw converters? Just one suggest to you: Please turn the music lower or use some more soft music. Its a little bit annoying and make it hard to hear what you say :-)

Man, it looks like you’re making it more complicated that it has to be just for sake of playing with every adjustment type 🤷 making a color shift with one tool, reversing it with other

Thanks very much for your feedback! There are plenty of methods out there to achieve results, if this one isn't for you then that's absolutely fine, feel free not to use it. Good luck!

@@D3R13N No offence taken at all- there's so many ways to achieve results & we all have our own way of working, none of them are right or wrong. It may seem that some of the steps contradict each other but these subtle changes which affect the image in ever so slightly different ways all contribute to the final look. If you & your clients are happy, at the end of the day that's all that matters!
