Not really if you know turkeys history. This network of fetullah gülen was a very well known and actually admired network with many institutions (like schools) all over turkey. So they have really infiltrated the government, which was fine, until they decided to turn on the government. There were many coups and if either one side wins, the other gets killed or punished. That's been the turkey that Atatürk established.

I know you are a journalist and your job is to ask questions but i expected you of all people to understand Turkeys complicated situation rather than asking silly questions without understanding the full context. Maybe you are biased because you are a Shia and you do not agree with Erdogan's sunni government but you need to do your research and accept that any country tackling a failed coup attempt would be taking the same measures as Turkey and more.
