Does not work in countries with massive mass surveillance such as Korea(1 camera watches and tracks 4 people , total 15 million cameras watching population of 50 millions) or China(which has adopted people watching technology from Korea; systems of two countries are most likely interconnected). In addition, this idea has a lot of IR signature and cause alarm to police camera centres. A German had a similar idea using LEDs which could have worked on analog street cameras("industrielles Fernsehen") but caused alarm in dense digitalised Korean type camera networks. In addition, something has to be invented to obfuscate walk analysis detection algorithms. Of course, Korea and China are very very extreme examples and this idea might work elsewhere.
Korea also patented brain chip implants in 2012 that could be used to correct the behaviour of unconforming subjects in a conforming way, in coordination with the 15 million cameras. China will of course get that stuff from Korea as well.

This is fake, someone is pointing a projector onto their face. If it was head mounted, then the projection image wouldn't move away from their face.

I've seen the design in person at a event last year, and I remember the projector actually beïng mounted on the head. It might be the videomapping software trying to stabelize the image on the persons face

This is because , unlike in Korea or China, there is no mass surveillance yet in HK. The people there have a Western mindset and , as seen from Hong Kongers covering or sawing off cameras, there will be even more massive resistance if the Chinese government times something like Korea or China in HK.

This is completely fake and is being projected from in front of them, not the device they're wearing. You can tell from the shadow under their chin. Especially @ :13. There should be no light hitting that high on her neck from that angle of the 'projector'. Also several times the projection hits their ears and there is no way that light can bend around their head and hit that. Just study the shadows and they will tell the whole story.

I'm supposed to act like they aren't here. Assuming there's a "they" at all. It may just be my imagination. Whatever it is that's watching, it's not human, unlike little dark eyed Donna. It doesn't ever blink. What does a scanner see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does it see into me, into us? Clearly or darkly? I hope it sees clearly, because I can't any longer see into myself. I see only murk. I hope for everyone's sake the scanners do better. Because if the scanner sees only darkly, the way I do, then I'm cursed and cursed again. I'll only wind up dead this way, knowing very little, and getting that little fragment wrong too.

Do you see how the projection is jittering trying to follow the face? That wouldn't happen if the projector was ON THE PERSON'S FOREHEAD as this video is trying to sell you.
maybe it's more of a concept, an idea.
honestliy, think about it, to be able to swap your's face appearance in a second could be nice and scary at the same time.

The shadows under the chin and the slivers of light that land on the ears/hair make it seem to me like it's really coming from the projector and not just an overlay on the video. Maybe the projector itself has a slight tracking motion? Would have to look into it more...
