Well done Tom. Longines are not only great watches but that heritage and back catalogue give the brand a vast amount of options for new re-introduction models. I love the sector dial, my preference is the white - cream dial and the Big Eye is my most at a glance readable chrono that I've seen. I could add many other models to my list but that would be out of scope of this video. Many thanks for sharing Tom.

My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MaMaCoo and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
My very first entry-luxury was a Longines Flagship. And I am still wearing it now. The caliber L888 (not the COSC grade) is superb. I tracked the watch within 20 days and its accuracy was +5 spd, very close to the COSC standard.
Great vid about a decent brand that's often overlooked by collectors. However I do think the affordable pricing shines through when you expose their watches to this degree of macro.
I can strongly recommend the Conquest 38mm in olive green, amazing watch and readily available unlike R......😁

My Longines Flagship was the first luxury piece I ever bought myself. It was at the beginning of this year as a gift my first full year as a practicing attorney. I'll never forget the buying experience. If you are wanting to buy a Longines and are able to make it there, absolutely do it through the NYC flagship. They are amazing folks there

Although affordable by luxury watch standards, these are luckily still above my "bad decision" purchase price range haha. The legend diver is gorgeous
I love this brand. I have the Hydroconquest 41mm blue dial with the ceramic bezel insert. I've had it for over a year and the accuracy is spot on and it's not even COSC certified. I feel it's one of the most under rated Swiss time piece.

Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.

When I first saw a Longine ad, and this was when i have no knowledge of watches, I thought it was spelled Long-e-nes... Welp, my mom was the one who corrected me lmao at least its good to know early on.
My first ever Longines is the spirit zulutime 42mm. I love the way it looks. Unfortunately the qc demons from my seiko collection cant stop trolling me because my one and only Longines has a qc issue on the 1 index of the 12 o'clock. It has bad lume paint so that when i view my watch in the dark, this number 1 is glowing weaker compared to the rest of the indexes of the watch. I dont really have an easy option to replace the watch since it is a gift my wife bought me on her vacation to korea 😅. So i will just have to live with it.

It seems we’re all fans of the Flagship but wow! so many firsts this company has historically. I quite like that black faced chronograph. Do they still use the 7750 calibre in their chronos?
They use a variety of 'exclusive to Longines', ETA movements I believe. So they are prefaced with L before the number now. My chronograph is L688. the Spirit Flyback is L791. Not sure about other chronos in their range.

It's just such a great watch. Yeah. It's such a shame that despite all its innovation, the likes of TAG, Omega, and Rolex seem to overshadow it.

Hello and thanks for this video. Teddy Baldassarre did one some days before. It was interesting to listen to the two. I love thier sector dial, but I think it is a bit exepnsive. Thus I don't think I'll buy a Longines even if I really appreciate this brand.
With price of the Legend Diver 39 Longines jumped on a greed train. I'm not in love anymore.

I have a FC GMT Yacht Timer and a Longines Master Small Seconds, and I would say that they are pretty close. Longines are perhaps simpler and more refined with history, but I love my FC. The watch finishing is probably not quite up to Longines, but the dial is wonderful. Both are great companies.

I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the amzwatch has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.

Leave the geeza alone - this channel has established itself as the low key relaxed corner of the on line watch community and he’s doing a decent job picking up where Andrew left off - he is being himself while working hard not to change the flavour of the channel which is why we’re all here in the first place
@@thenotanclan disagree. I always found Tom to be more interesting than Andrew with his personal take on things, so why not keep it like that?
He may genuinely want to change the timbre of his voice, it is often the case people do not like hearing there voices played back to themselves. Could just be a personal preference.

I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. MaMaCoo brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
