Tesla does compete with BYD. I considered (but quickly ruled out) a BYD Seal before ordering my Tesla Model 3. The BYD was more expensive than the Tesla at the time I ordered last May. Now, they are cheaper. I am talking about lease costs in the UK where I live, not MSRPs. However, I would still get the Model 3 over the BYD if I was ordering today, I just think it's a better EV overall.

@@davidbeppler3032 to claim Tesla and BYD are not competitors because only Tesla has FSD is quite a stretch. FSD is not even available in the UK, it’s illegal here. So, FSD is not a factor here and played no part in my choice of a Model 3 over a BYD Seal.

Here in Australia the gov is allowing EV owners to feed surplus power back to the grid.
Usually around 6-7pm electricity costs are at their highest so if we can feed say 10-15kWh from the car to the grid we get a very handy feed in tariff.
Not sure if Tesla will come to the party though as that system will compete against their Powerwall home battery.
I’m thinking it would be a huge disincentive to buy Tesla EVs if they couldn’t also be used to supplement the grid.
Therefore I’m sure they’ll come to the party🤞

And remember, EVs where you have to carry an ICE generator on the back seat if you do a lot of driving off-grid "are the only ones that count", and we can safely ignore popular transition EVs that come with a built in range extender (where Tesla has missed the boat). Even for 'pure' EVs, where global market share is rising, Tesla sales are declining (or at least falling behind the competition) as the scale of the market becomes large enough for others to start offering more models and consumer choice. I guess there is always Fully Supervised Driving to save them 'next year'.

It is now clear that the Cybertruck a commercial failure, second hand value of a Tesla is low. Having a P/E of a fast growing company with no growth in 2024 and most likely 2025. Tesla Bot is pure hype.
Humanoid robots will be useless until they can can replicate the exact functioning of a human hand, because the world around us has been desigend to be used and manipulated by human hands. Robot's already exist to do the mundane or hard work that humans can't or don't want to do. Those robots will also be better than a humanoid robots at their specific function, so what would be the point of them?
Now, I am not saying we shouldn't bother trying, but Musk acts like these things are going to be fully functional and manufatured in mass numbers in a few years. They won't be, but people get excited and start putting huge money into Tesla stock and massively over inflate the value of the company.

I'd recommend looking into the rapid progress of Optimus, especially the development of its hands and forearms, which are crucial for a useful humanoid robot. Tesla also has a solution for its 'Brain' - the Full Self-Driving (FSD) software used in Tesla vehicles can be directly implemented into Optimus, enabling it to navigate, learn, and function similarly to humans. Given the rapid progress in all of these areas, I think Tesla bots might come as a surprise to many.

    • @pr248
      @pr248 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@TeslaJigsaw Until Tesla Bot can take raw ingredients out of a fridge an make a lasagne from fresh then it is basically useless. To do this, its needs to be able to use it's hands exactly (if not better) like a human and the software needs to be 1000% more advanced than it is now.
Robots are already widely used in industry to do things that humans cannot do, which means they are doing things that Tesla Bot cannot do. Which begs the question, what are humanoid robots for?
Again, I am not saying that we shouldn't be trying to make better robots. But people think that functional Tesla Bot will be available in a few years when you are probably looking at 20, 30, 50 years if you want to be optimistic.
Same with his moon and mars stuff. We are never going to mars and the moon looks to be many years off yet and will cost much more than has been quoted

I was a doubter. For two reasons, although I didn't realise this at the time. The reasons were; I didn't like to be led by the nose into early adopting a technology that I learned from the media 'wasn't ready', and I have always been a skeptic about climate histeria. To be fair when I formed these beliefs, the tech wasn't as ready as it is now. But I carried on in ignorance riding on the media message, until I decided to look properly for myself at the facts and figures. When you do, as you point out, you feel dumb for not seeing it sooner. During my family christmas the EV conversation came up amongst the men as usual. I sat there listening to all these men making false claims and smoking the copium about EVs and the future, and just smiled and nodded. They will catch on. Eventually. For example VW, is 3.5. the soon to be dead brand according to you is still selling more cars than Tesla. You act if EV's are the only cars. Not to mention Musk's political views are hurting the brand, instead of managing the company his is busy with other things. Tesla has no new models in sight, the cuber truck sales are dropping and things like robo taxi are not only over rated in projected sales, it's not on the market yet .. meaning there is no justification of the current stock value at all. No, they just sold the most cars in any quarter in Tesla's History. They sold slightly less overall in the full year than in 2023 if that's what you mean?

@@TeslaJigsawcorrect - YOY is down in overall sales , not a good sign especially if other competitors have stronger YoY growth and especially if you’re trying to “grow” volume.
This doesn’t mean tesla is “doomed” or bad or any of that. It’s reality when you’re on top, very easy to fall down. Regardless of how many deliveries done. It’s the way it is with the stock market
Not to mention, Tesla is WAY OVER VALUED to begin with , but that’s a whole other story. But I understand the future potential. I just don’t bet the whole farm on it.
Naturally , you own Tesla stock, so making a video like this makes sense for you to defend your stock of choice.
Note: I am also a Tesla investor / owner. Just stating the reality of the situation for others. Thanks!
