When I moved to Seattle in 2009 you could have gotten that apartment for around $900-1200. Crazy how they just skyrocketed the prices after the tech boom. Totally ripping you guys off and you don't know any better because of your salaries haha.

I love how green and beautiful Washington is (my favorite state) but man is it so expensive compared to Philly. We legit had a house in Rittenhouse (one of the nicest areas of Philly right in the city) for less than what you’re paying for your apartment. Now here we’re renting a house and it’s more than our places in Philly and Denver combined!

I really like your apt, I love what you've done with the space. I'm just baffled that it's 2,300$ for 670 sq ft of space.. That just blows my mind how much the cost of living is there. Here in Atlanta I'm paying $1,500 for 763 sq ft space w/ 12ft ceilings on the top floor of the complex, in Buckhead which is like "uptown" for those who don't know Atlanta. It's still in the heart of the city. Rent getting so fucking ridiculous, but it's not completely evil in the south...YET.
Hi, I live in Midtown. Buckhead is not the "heart of the city". Midtown is. Also there are certain parts of Buckhead that are less luxurious than others. If you're not close to Lenox then it really is just another part of Atlanta. Just setting some context for people who are not from Atlanta so that they don't get the wrong idea about "cheap rent in the heart of the city" :)

My mortgage is $2050/month for a 4br/4 bath detached 2100+ sq ft house with a massive private yard and finished basement. I can't imagine renting for $2300/month and only having 1 br/1 bath. Mind you, I'm not downtown but 30-45 mins away. Clean set-up though and nice view.
I use to live in Westlake across from the mall downtown. Finally ventured out to Puyallup away from people. Great video man, brought back memories of being downtown.

Nice apartment, that’s all a man needs. You literally checked all of the boxes. I like to keep my studio apartment clean & minimum with just what I need. We pretty much have all of the same stuff all the way down to the pull up bar. I do wish I had a bench for my dumbbells tho.

I paid around $800 a month for a studio 10 years ago about the same size I'd say in the LA area which is also expensive. Now I pay $1300 for a 2 bedroom house with a yard and garage, this is a house I purchased with $50K down. I could have refinanced when interest rate was low and got it down to $1000 a month but that would have started my mortgage over from year 1 and also I have some HELOC money I'd have to pay off first. $2300 seems a lot for a small apartment like that but that might be close to what people around here are paying now.
