No, you are "Financially Challenged" or "Temporarily Without Funds!" Also Less is More, you can have so little but still make it work. I saw another Woman with a Studio Apt and she had too much and she was stressed out, then a Lady in Washington, DC got an Apartment Makeover from Ikea and they showed a Small Space can still be stylish.

Minimalism isn’t having nothing, it’s about only having things that have purpose and are useful. Each thing he has was bought purposefully and he doesn’t own anything that isn’t used on, most likely, a weekly basis at most. Minimalism is about being mindful too. When we have less, we stress less.

It's kinda laughable that someone with a vinyl record player calls themselves a minimalist. The kitchen tho! Tidy and yet the one place where tools are needed if you like to cook from base ingredients.

The people who live with only 3 or less furniture are called "Extreme Minimalist", but Minimalism is simply about owning things that had value to your life, and let go of other useless stuff. So yes, their appartment is a minimalist appartment, cause they only have things that they are reaaally using in their everyday's life. 😋

Everything looks so fresh and comfortable. I love the simple flair of your living room. I've always thought that to reflect the essence of a minimalist decorating style like the MCM, it's enough to add some of its most iconic pieces of furniture, since these are always the ones that have the most prominence and the ones that often become focal points. I have a Manhattan Home Design Togo sofa in the central compartment of my apartment and it always steals the spotlight. Thanks for sharing this tour.

I see a lot of people are confused with what "minimalism" is
It is not simply about "having less things".
The main principal of minimalism is that you're very aware of what you own and what you own have purpose in your life or meaning; whatever makes you happy.
A happy person who owns nothing but one sofa and 1000s of books is true minimalist
compare to a "minimalist" who owns 5 things in his/ her life and miserable.

You want to encourage conversation in the living room so you forgo the tv, but having a tv in the bedroom is not the greatest idea. It can mess with your bedtime routines & have a negative impact you your sleep. Also I'm sure you two can come up with better things to do in a bedroom....

@@lelechim yes it's super expensive over here, a studio in San Jose with A/C and washer/dryer starts over $2000, going North to the Palo Alto area you are looking at $2500 for a studio and way more in the San Fran area. Greg in some ways yes. We removed the TV from the dining room so could focus on social interactions. Still not perfect as we do have a home hub max and an older iPad on the wall but that’s literally just for when dinner is ready in the middle of a sport broadcast and even then only use that rarely. iPad was there before got that home max as use the nest feature so might get rid of that too.
