Moving every year takes a toll on you. It’s such a hassle to pack and unpack everything, set up services, and change addresses for everything. That’s why I try to move to a place and stay there for as long as my budget allows.

I admire anyone who spends $3350 a month to rent a place for the cat to live in. 😻😻😻😻 As a reward, the cat lets you stay in the place rent-free! (also allow you to enjoy doing things like opening cans, scooping litter, grooming, brushing, and other stuff)

Suppose "luxury", like many things in life, is subjective.
I mean, the den is nice ( which admittedly isn't always standard equipment in a one bedroom) and appliances seem new, but outside of that, I don't see what's luxury about it. It just seems like a nice place.
What about it is luxury to you?

Saving so much money living cheap. I'm ready to buy a house right now. Just waiting a bit longer to see how the market plays out.

Living in Seattle is terrible I work 70 hours a week make a decent wage and can't keep up with the cost of living I am pretty sure that 3350 don't include utilities or parking you get the roof in exchange for eating half the time. One thing I will say is having a place like this to live is the only safe place to relax because once you leave the house you are in constant danger in the city the homeless and mental illness drug addicts have taken over outside is full of zombies just a few weeks ago someone stabbed 13 or more people just walking outside for no reason at all in the middle of the day and don't forget it gets dark here at 330-4pm so getting home before dark is rare it is usually dark when I leave for work and dark before I get off.

I like that she didn't feel the need to clean-up her apartment and allowed it be messy, as that is the typical norm that we truly live in. Much of life is allowing your emotion and mental condition to be free and not restricted, so I appreciate her decision to find a bigger place.

@@Chris-fq4xz True dat. When we have to make a pilgramige to town (Monroe) we try to go during the lunch hour when all the PNWers are at McDonalds and not on the road.

My mortgage is about a third of this apartment with three times the space. Insane the prices people pay but if they grew up in this type of area, it is probably normal for them.

Why move once a year? I guess if you thrive on change then that's a good thing. Most of my moves were international because I traveled a lot in my career. The hardest part of the move was shipping my cat. Lots of red tape and headaches shipping a cat internationally.
