I appreciate the video sir! I got a po101 code even though my 2014 Q50 with 74k miles seemed to be running fine. Got myself some cleaner, and with your video, I took care of it myself! Even noticed a little improvement in throttle response 👏
These VQ 37 engines are a real gem. I have one in my 2019 370Z and was able to get about 55 crankshaft peak hp more out of it with an intake, exhaust and dyno tune. I did run a mixture of race gas with the pump gas to bring up the octane level from 91 to 94. This enabled the tuner to advance the timing more and extract more power.
Thanks for the video ! Currently I do not have any error code on but the thing is car performing very bad and slow response . I’m using k&n oil air filters and seem to over oiled them. Can that impact sensor performance? Should I clean it ? Do I need to clean the trottle Body as well ? Thanks in advance
Your Welcome, over oiling can definitely affect engine performance, which of course depends on how much you over oiled. It could affect your mass airflow sensor and throttle body, but that would be the extreme.Start by installing a regular air cleaner and clean the MAF and see if that remedies the problem.
Your welcome.OEM is always preferred, it really depends on the price difference. A aftermarket part bought from a reputable place will have a better/longer warranty.
Since you replaced your spark plugs and still have a misfire on cylinder 4, I would install a new coil on 4 and that should take care of both your PO codes .
Anyone know iff i have to buy 2 seperate left and right maf sensors or does that even matter and all maf sensors fit the same left and right? I own a 2015 q50 3.7

They become old and brittle and accumulate dirt as the miles pile on, in a warm area try WD-40 and pushing gently down on the tab and wiggle back-and-forth. If that doesn't work, get a small screwdriver or hook and come in from the front.Once released, you will have to use electrical cleaner to remove the WD 40 .
I replaced my maf sensor because I had the code for the sensor the p010B or something like that lol anyways I replaced the sensor & my car is no longer misfiring during driving but now it doesn't always start the first time I start it. I usually have to try a second time & it'll start. I did get the part from autozone, could that be why bc it's not an oem?
Getting the part from AutoZone shouldn't be an issue. Have you checked your air filter to make sure it's clean and when was the last time your spark plugs were replaced?
These cars are very sensitive regarding sensors. When I replaced my crankshaft sensor with doorman it worked for a few months then gave problems on and off til i put in a denso sensor. The original denso I put in after the original failure was broken by the flexplate so my mechanic swapped a doorman in I didn't choose it. Get denso, hitachi or ngk when it comes to sensors nothing else unless you do research. Z1 has been a tried and true site for aftermarket parts. Rockauto has oem MAF sensors as well I think 60 each
Hey how you can you please help me out i have 2014 infiniti q50 3.7 sport, my idle has been going up and down, i change all my o2 sensors new coils new sparkplugs change both pcv valves its onlh has 100k. I have ecutek tune an takeda cold air intakes bolt on im jus figure why my idle keep jumping around, do yu think i need to change my maf sensors an map?
Did the idle variation start when you added the ecutek tune and takeda cold air intakes? It sounds like you have a small vacuum leak ,are there any PO codes?
Yes, a PO102 could be a Faulty mass air flow sensor. PO102 - Intake air leaks - Dirty mass air flow sensor - Dirty mass air filter - Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted - Mass air flow sensor circuit poor electrical connection The PO 300 is multi misfire, which is probably caused by your P102 code. I would address the PO102 first.
I'm told it's Screw - Nissan/Infiniti (08360-41226). You can take one from the other side and try to match it at your local hardware store or proceed directly to your local dealer.
@@TheAutoTeacher thank you, I'll see today or tmr, hoping my 10mm will be enough to take them out since I noticed they don't have the slit for a screwdriver like the ones holding the tube
Not sure why that would be, if you remove the two screws usually it pulls out super easy. There's only a small rubber seal, and it's made of plastic so there wouldn't be any corrosion. Try using pliers if you're replacing it with a new one.
No, A P2A03 code refers to a condition in which the Power Control Module (PCM) detects a malfunction with the upstream oxygen Sensor 1 or its circuit located on the Bank 2 side of your vehicle.
If I get a new sensor and put it on will my engine light go away if that's the only problem, the sensor? Or would I have to delete the code install the new one then see if it worked???
@@TheAutoTeacher when you say it's easier and faster to delete the code do you mean by deleting it and putting the new sensor in to wait and see if the check engine light comes back ?
I’m having a problem where my Infiniti will lose acceleration power while driving but I still have power in the car but if I turn it off the car wont start back up unless I jump it😩

It could be a lot of things, I would start with the cheapest things first and go from there. Check your air cleaners, check for any vacuum leaks, clean the mass airflow sensor and when was the last time spark plugs were installed, as you can see the list can go on and on.
Check for any split or deteriorating hose's , or anything disconnected. Some are easier to detect just with your ear, if not you can spray brake clean around the engine and get a variation in the idle and pinpoint where the leak is by doing this.

I got the P0174,P0300 and C1109 codes. Is it just cleaning the mass airflow sensors ?
A malfunctioning mass airflow (MAF) sensor is one of the most common causes of P0174 code.
I was wondering if I need to buy 2 mass flow air sensors for my 2008 Infiniti g37 coupe,or I only need one?
If it's only giving you one code for the upstream or downstream oxygen sensor, there's really no need to replace both.

It may take a couple miles before the ECM resets and shuts off the light, it's easier just to do it with a scan tool if accessible.

Aye quick question i have a code p0174 and was just wondering how do i find out which side needs to be replaced??
Also i dropped that screw while messing with it can i replace it?? If so where should i look for one!?
P0174 indicates Bank 2 of the engine has a lean fuel mixture.
Drivers side.
For the screw, you can take one from the other side and go directly to a hardware store or the dealer to make sure you get the proper screw.
Ty so much
You’re welcome!
Did you have to perform the relearn procedure after?
We used the OBD2 scanner to clear the code .
I have code p0102 and code p0300.. could dirty MAF sensors cause this ?
Yes, a PO102 could be a Faulty mass air flow sensor.
PO102
- Intake air leaks
- Dirty mass air flow sensor
- Dirty mass air filter
- Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted
- Mass air flow sensor circuit poor electrical connection
The PO 300 is multi misfire, which is probably caused by your P102 code. I would address the PO102 first.
What size is that to remove it 8mm doesn’t fit and my screw was stripped by the previous owner
It should be at 8 mm ,try a small Phillips screwdriver and if all else fails use a small pair of channel locks.
What size are the bolts holding the sensor in?
I'm told it's Screw - Nissan/Infiniti (08360-41226). You can take one from the other side and try to match it at your local hardware store or proceed directly to your local dealer.
