Nice rifle, and excellent weight for that big of a hunting rifle. Now that you have found an ideal velocity, the tuner brake should allow you to tighten that group up a little bit.
I built a 7mm prc on a Zeus qc with a 23” carbon 6 barrel and a ag composite adj hunter stock 2 stage trigger tech diamond It’s a tack driver Took a elk with 175gr eld-x in Wyoming this year at 486yd dropped it in its tracks
Man I love that rifle and been a 7 fan many yrs. I have some dandy 6.5prc loads. 130tmk with h4350@3220fps seems bout baby bear soup. From 95gr to 156gr ex hunters. 2800-3600fps. Over600 rds on carbon waypoint. Most as hot as you can get em. All under 1” or I don’t consider em. I have a plain 700rem adl in 7mag just itchin to be a 7saum custom
I just thought I was going to get close to 3000fps with the factory hornady 175g eldx and a 29" barrel. I barely broke 2900fps. Cut it down to 25" and will be able to get 2900fps. So my question was, why have the longer barrel on a hunting rifle especially if I can't get the extra speed?
77.8 grains LRT, new ADG brass, Federal 215 match primer, 180 Berger VLD - one hole groups at 100. Will retest this before the end of the year. I forgot my Garmin that day at the range so I have to repeat data for 4 rifles. but the LRT was excellent on accuracy in a 25" Brux #5. With my In-Rut 7PRC, I'm at 70.0 H1000, 1x fired Federal nickel brass, Federal 215 match primer, 175 Hornady ELDX at 3005 to 3015 fps, 24" K&P barrel
I have a 7 PRC, but the achievable velocities with 175s are a little underwhelming. Definitely not what's advertised. I'm currently running Nosler AB160s at 3102 with RL 26. No pressure and .3" groups. That load was running about .532 and I dialed it in a little tighter with an EC Tuner Brake. I just can't get good groups with the 175s. I was able to get 2950 with RL26 and .787 group. I got nice speed and groups with Retumbo as well with the AB160s but nothing impressive with the 175. I think the 7 MMPRC is a B minus cartridge. It's nice to be able to shoot the 175s but if you want the big punch of the 175s just move to a 28 Nosler. I'm getting 3180 with ELDX175s sub .5moa from my 28 Nosler. Both rifles are Bergara's. You did build a beautiful rifle with amazing components. The cartridge is just a little underwhelming.
That's a nice rig iam just not a big fan of 7 PRC. Let me explain I have a 7 WSM improved , 7 Rem mag , 7 RUM improved , 28 Nosler , 7-338 Norma mag and iam currently building a 7 LPRC by Mc-Whorter custom rifles it's a 300PRC necked down to 7mm/284 and a 7mm Allen magnum by Allen precision rifles it pushes a 200gr custom bullet 3300fps. So 7 PRC where does it fit ? 7 wsm , 7 mag both do everything the PRC does and better in my opinion. Now I did take the 7 PRC neck it down to 25 & 6.5 calibers and they have very impressive ballistics and accuracy. Great vedio that's a beautiful rifle . God bless you and your family God-bless America 🇺🇸 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱....Go TRUMP Go
I'm interested in the 7-6.5PRC. seems like it would be a true modern 7wsm, where it could be loaded with heavy 7mm bullets and still be efficient at a COAL less than 3".
honestly I'm not even sure it has a real purpose. LOL. I can do everything I need for north american hunting with my 6.5PRC. I just needed to get this video done. It's a nice rifle and I really can't complain, but I've been hearing about injured and lost animals being shot with 7PRC this year. Not sure what's up with that.

I agree. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Excellent. 🤙
I settled on 66.3 gn. H1000 with ELDX-175. Ready to try N555. Sure would like to try RL26!
@@jwschroeder804 sweet. I’ve got some N555 to try as well. Eventually I’ll get around to it.
@@PrecisionRifleNetwork thoughts on where to begin on charge weight? 54 to 59 gr?
Just picked up two pounds of it rl26 at a local bimart in oregon. Pretty happy to have it, just wish I could got more than two pounds.
@@MatthewKyle-sg5uocan I ask the cost?
@jwschroeder804 i dont remember I think around 50 bucks a pound
Just subscribed. Thank you😊😊😊
Thanks for subbing!
Hey Joel! Love your content. Been watching for years. What contour barrel did you run with? Looks like medium Palma?
Hey thanks! Yep, I believe that’s correct.

All sounds good. I need to start messing with handloads for my 6.5PRC next.
Why was the 29" barrel disappointing? I have a 29" blank I have yet to use? Interested in your opinions on the 29" barrel!

What kestrel and model do you use????
5700 elite with Bluetooth
What is the contour of that barrel and are those 5/8-24 threads
It’s something like a heavy varmint and yes on the threads.
Ngl the subscribe shot was cool.
haha thanks.
Good to see you Joel! Man, these bots are blowing up your comments🤣🤣👍🏻

unfortunately I can't add an inch back on. LOL i'm guessing it might increase by about 20-30fps.
I would love to see an AR=10 in 7PRC.
You shut yer mouth….can I get one in 6.5prc please..?
Ha interesting.
