enjoyed the video. very helpful. thank you.
Glad it was helpful!💕
I learn about so many nice places to visit in US from you guy's love you're vlogs. I wasn't aware of this place either my family growing up never took road trips it's amazing what you can see in so many states in US.
Thank you! We had no idea this existed until we started planning out our road trip. We love learning about sites like these too.
This brought back a lot of memories. I came here when I was 10 back in 1990. At that time, the museum and the discovery center didn’t exist, it was just the big ol’ crater itself.
Wow, that's so cool that you went before all this was built. We heard the museum was built about 8 years ago. Visiting the crater used to be free before the museum.
I think that’s awesome! I remember seeing footage of Elvis Presley, Priscilla and the Memphis mafia there walking down the railing.
No way! That's super cool😀
Going there in October. Looks like fun. The ultimate rockhound experience. Out of this world, literally.
Awesome!! Such a cool experience.
This is so relaxing you ladies are amazing
Awww you're the best. Thank you!
@@travelpockets I miss traveling so much miss the zippers sounds
This. Is. Wild! I'd never even heard of it before!
We never heard of it before until we started looking at things to do around Flagstaff and it was a cool site to see!
Wow! Beautiful cityscape! I also take landscape videos in the UK and different countries , so it's very helpful. splendid! I subscribed to the channel, so I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for the good video!
Many thanks! UK has some gorgeous landscapes as well!💕
That was super cool. 🌠 I'm definitely stopping there on my next drive to New Mexico.. Driven past it a few times, but now that you guys made it look fun, I'm all in ! Thanks so much ! 👍
Yes, you should totally stop by! We had such a good time at this place and the staff are all friendly and knowledgable.
It’s only 5000 feet high. The air is not any thinner… you’re just out of shape. (For comparison Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70 is 11,000 feet.)
fun
You know it’s gonna be a good attraction video when Crystal does her research and provides some background information and insightful commentary! Maybe rebrand the channel to `Travel Shades’ ? Haha….the sunglasses are becoming a signature look for you gals! Cheers and kudos for another great vid!
LOL we try not to wear sunglasses too much, but it's so bright sometimes that we can't even open our eyes😂 Thanks for your awesome comment!
That crater is huge. nice drive.Hope you not get close to edge 😀
Yes! It was pretty amazing to see it in person.
Ein faszinierendes Gebiet, das sogenannte Tunguska Ereignis 1908 wurde durch so einen Eisen Nickel Asteroiden ausgelöst der 4 bis 5mal größer war und die Erdatmosphäre nur streifte.
Nice review. IF you go there in person, expect high entrance fees. i spent more than $100 for a family of 4. For that, one would think they'd let you have more freedom when walking around, but they don't. Personally, i think it's overpriced for what you see. You can get the gist of what's there on the net, and wish i had known that before going there because i would not have payed those entrance fees and saved myself some money.
Thank you for sharing. How much time did you spend in this visit? Id like to take my kids here.
We spent 1-2 hours here. Have a great time with your family!
The crater where "Starman's" spaceship picked him up before the govt could capture him. Do you remember the movie? 1984 Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen. Good vid and review. I would like to visit this site.
I don't know that movie at all. I'll definitely have to look that up! Hope you'll get to visit this site because it is incredible!

Poor kuma. Good idea about how you can leave your dog there. But don’t blame you
Yeah, I figured Kuma would be more relaxed in a hotel room than in a kennel. But yes, I do like that they provide this just in case you have your dog with you while you're on the road. And clearly there were a lot of people using it, so it was a great idea on the museum's part.
Tons of Tat before You get to see the Big Hole
Naturally, they've ruined it.
To much Tat and Shit . Not enough Crater
The crater is 20-miles off I-40... a 40-mile round trip from the Interstate whether you pay the exorbitant price or not. What pissed me off, is that the Interstate uses standard taxpayer-funded brown signs on I-40 to advertise the site as if it's public; like Mammoth Cave. It's not... taxpayers pay to advertise an expensive private enterprise. Who in the hell wants to pay $100 to $150.00 for the family to see a whole in the ground. Do it from Google Earth for free... it's a ripoff.
I have now lost all interest in seeing the crater.
Winslow crater would make a great place for a landfill
