I've been using Klipper a LOT on our 8-bit machines. Given that I've mounted a E3D Titan Aero on my TronXY and I couldn't find the Marlin build (or get it to build from what I did find) I thought, well time for Klipper. Two in fact on the RPi 3 - and the load should be fine. It's a fascinating piece of software and remote access via Mainsail and Fluidd is just wonderful!
Klipper is great. I have been running klipper on both my x5sa pro and xy2pro for over a year. Make sure you pick up an adxl345 module and run Input shaper.
Getting ready to install Klipper on aX5SA Pro this week. Any chance you can share a working config somewhere? That would be a huge help.

I have a pos x5sa that just won't connect at all. I backed up original firmware (easy thanks to jeff), flashed klipper, got a rpi all up and going. Nothing. Just errors. Even following this video I got nothing. Looks like i'm going to be making wiring sets for this pos printer and replacing the mainboard. So frustrated lol. I thought this was the easy part before the hard part of getting the printer dialed in, adding bltouch, and the input shaper stuff. Beginning to think i'm in way over my head. If this printer didn't cost so much I would have taken a hammer to it already. Never will I buy anything from tronxy! I should have just bought a cr-10!

What settings do you choose for the newer V10 Tronxy boards in the firmware update menu? I believe the newer ones are not Chitu. Mine is a CXY-446-V10-220413.
Trying to figure out my z probe. I have tried both the stock and an aftermarket z probe. will not trigger and slammed into the bed.

Hey Jeff, just curious why none of the videos I watch about Tronxy x5sa pros or others mention having to move jumpers around? My board has jumpers that apparently have to be moved, but nothing I have found tells me how to do that. Any ideas?

Hey Jeff, and thanks for posting this im getting a error :- connecting Option 'default_parameter_x' is not valid in section 'gcode_macro pause' only difference is im using pi3b any help would be amazing
But what shall I do now with my Octoprint on my ordoid (similar sbc to the pi)? Klipper has it's own and octoprint runs with chitu (very bad but runs) and marlin only
You can run Klipper from your ODroid. If you want to preserve your Octoprint in case you want to go back, just use a different SD card to install Klipper and try it out.
You don’t need Octoprint anymore, once you have Klipper.
Jeff I followed the steps and for some reason there is no update file.cdb when using WinSCP not sure what I'm doing wrong? Can you help

Hu Jeff. I have attempted to reinstall klipper and it appear python has been updated to V3s so the command line to build the Chitu V6 firmware seems to not work with this version. Any suggestions?
Hi Jeff Troxy has been my best printer. but the other day the pi won't connect with the printer now I just did serial search on the py and says file/dir is not active. Do you know how to fix this. Do I reinstall klipper or reinstall/ re do from the begining with the Pi?
I have a 2021 board where I have to do the jumper swap. I flashed the bootloader to the tronxy board it beeped 6 times. Then I got the update.cbd on an SD restarted the printer it beeped twice I waited like 5 minutes restarted the printer got 2 beeps then screen goes black like it supposed to. But when I go to connect it, it's not detected. I'm using a shielded cable too so it's not that. Trying to install MainSail.

Noob question alert!! In WinSCP, the update.cbd does not show and likely because I didn't run the script because I have a different printer but maybe I should have. When, where and how Do I insert the printer.cfg file for my Tronxy X5SA that I found on Github or is this copied in via Fluidd? Thank for the great work on this video!

If you printer has the v6 motherboard in it run the script to generate the update file.
@@jeffs3dcorner I did and copied the update file to the micro sd, inserted to the printer but no beeps and no touch screen. Fluidd can connect to the pi but no connection to printer. Any suggestions? This printer has the V6 board.
I'll add the cbd file to my Dropbox when I get home. Do you have the right serial address in your printer.cfg file?
@@jeffs3dcorner Yes I think so. Can you check that with Fluidd? I may have an error in configuring the mainboard. Could there be 2 types of V6 boards?
K I'll upload in a couple hours. Other than that sorry. I had to do it a few times to figure it out properly.

I figured it out, been running great since the klipper upgrade!

edit: nvm i am stupid. I used an old slicer profile where i put the homepoint in the middle of the bed for some reason i can't remember.

I know as of right now it doesn't work but I wonder if there is a way. Itd cause less waste because I wouldn't have to ditch a working screen for another screen for a rpi
Jeff I know where i went wrong now got it flash printer 2 beeps . Only thing left is to notepad+++ printer.cfg file I don't know where you got the file so i can make change.
Should be a printer.cfg in the dropbox

After all this, are you still able to use Tronxy's auto-leveling assist and see print previews?
Klipper does things differently.

Klipper does not use tronxys screen or leveling. It shows you through its own interface be it klipper screen,, fluid or mainsail
@@jeffs3dcorner Gotcha. To my understanding you're able to still utilize the stock leveling sensor but with Klipper's interface?

What firmware are you running

Why do you not specify the state of the printer at all, yuo do not explain if the jumpers need to be moved or what firmware or bootloader the printer has at all, he just says put update file in sd card, insert and power up you will hear 2 beeps "100% none of this happened at all" are you just uploading videos to upload videos?????? I found the page on github and he skipped an entire section of configuring the printer. what is the purpose of this video?!?!??!?!
