Bro, can you help me increase my hash rate on my 5x Asus RX 580 OC edition (Aura Sync) (8 gig) cards? I'd really appreciate it. I'm getting 24 Mh/s and I'm using stock settings. I'm not an expert and I worry I will do something that might damage the cards if I overclock, undervolt, mod BIOS, ... I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks

Started off at around 24MH/s avg, then it randomly went down to like 21MH/s avg. So I decided to mod my card doing this, now I'm at around 28MH/s avg. Thanks M8. Card is the; PowerColour Red Devil RX 480 8GB.
Can't say I do. I have an RX 570 and following those steps I got to 32 MHs (1.2GHz core, 925mV, 2100/900 memory). The only thing I noticed is that I was using AMD memory tweak before, and when I loaded the settings I had saved for the OC it also loaded timing settings and messed everything up. So I just set everything back to default (memory timings lv 0-default) and just set the overclock as mentioned above to get to 31-32. (You might also want to set the refresh rate to 20 on AmD mem tweak for an extra 1 MHs)
This is the best video I've watched to help bios mod gpu's. Tested this on a single RX 560 and it increased my hashrate between 1.5-2 Mh/s when mining and the overall Effective speed from 12 MH/s to 16.78 MH/s. Pretty good for a 560. Hopefully, I can successfully do this on four RX 570's. Thank you, VoskCoin! Update: Modded four RX 570's. Was getting around 21-22 and sometimes 23Mh/s now I'm getting 27.5 - 28 It was scary because I tried to do each card one at a time in different PCIe slots (numerous reboots) but when I ran the Pixel Patcher Bios Modding Tool, it said it was already patched because I had patched one of the cards before. No big deal. I ran this command because the ATIWinFlash couldn't see the fourth card: cd C:\ Atiflash atiflash -p 0 1 2 3 romname.rom

I have the same problem, my RX580 8GB went from 24mh/s to 8mh/s and I was suspicious if I should modify bios because I will lose my warranty. Did you have any problems later, or your card continued working at 30 mh/s?

@@gsrsuperman yes one card went as high as 29MHs and across the 6 cards it was a 6Mhs bump which is substantial. You can overclock to get more but I prefer its stability.
Try something more my friend try to set (MV) core voltage in MSI afterburner to -80 and play with core clock and memory clock because u can ge 30.5MH/s easy with rx 580 and especially for less watts because of core voltage. My rigs with RX580 (6GPUs) mining on 180MH/s on 715watts. I´m using linux - ETHos
i got 6mhs a second increase from this video on a rx 580. Then 5.4 mhs increase total on two rx 470's the graph in hiveos shows mining power increase!! thanks voskcoin!!
After doing the bios mod from this video on the rx 580 and 2 rx 470's and overclocking with hive os. I'm not getting 30.39 mhs on the rx 580. And 28.45 on the rx 470's that's huge gains
Just got a Sapphire 580 8GB card: defaults in place using latest AMD drivers(19.6.3) 520 hashrate. Changed to Crimson drivers, bumped to 730. Did the one click mod, bumped to 1018. Havent played with afterburner yet to see where this can go, but i would say just the basics and its close to the higher hashrates posted around the web. Thanks for video! ( i havent messed with video card bios mods since 2005 lol )
Thanks for the tip and the links to all the tools! Doing this increased my overall hashrate from 158 Mh/s to 184 Mh/s on my 6 card rig. I did notice that whenI overclocked the memory on some cards, they would crash, but I'm still getting excellent hash rates even at lower memory clock speeds.
After this tutorial I still am mining around 14-15 sol/s on a rx580. any ideas what i did wrong or what may have gone wrong? EDIT: I was mining sol/s and getting $hit rates. thanks to switching algorithms I'm getting 30MH/s with tuning. THANK YOU VOSK! Much love to you friend.

This is great for the 560's and 570's... But the 580's that are XFX brand, you can simply put the cards in computer mode via AMD driver. Cards go from 24mhs to 30mhs using claymore miner. FYI
Sometimes and some cards still need manual memory shift. But awesome video for those who ever done a bios mod before. And it is better to mention it that the card may be bricked if bios not be moded correctly. And you may want do a video about how to bring back a bricked GPU
1st... i'm a huge fan and you are one of, if not the most helpful out of all youtube with mining and everything else.. so.. i have a 8 rx580 rig.. The new one-click bios mod editor is great news! Pixel patcher may or may not be needed depending on the card. The AMD Blockchain Driver is old. As I understand things, it was a one off temporary fix that received no future updates or support. I have tried it, and found that later AMD driver versions work as well or better. Even better yet is NOT using Windows, and going to SMOS (thanks Vosk).
I tried this earlier today and bricked my GPU and I felt terrible. The erasing of old BIOS somehow failed, making the ROM unreadable. Thankfully a UEFI boot version of amdvbflash helped me perform forced flash with the backup file. I promised myself to give up on it and just live with 30% lower hashrate... :(
this was a great guide. took my stock settings rx5804gb from 620Hs to 683Hs cryptonight. Now if I could just optimize my ryzen 7 1700. it's getting 550Hs and is only running at 43% as reported by the task manager

The question is, since I have ever used AMD blockchain beta drivers from 2018, do you think I should stick to them or should I download new AMD nornal drivers and switch compute mode on windows? Hey Vosk, love the videos man! I have about 20 rigs that we just finished assembling & getting running on ethOS, and now it’s time to overclock & bios mod. Is it better to bios mod the card AND overclock in ethOS? Can I bios mod the card and then transfer it to my ethOS rig, without issue? Lastly, undervolting, do you do it with your cards?

I read you get better hash rate using Linux, however, it's easier to bios mod in windows. Is it possible to bios mod in windows and then install the card into a Linux rig? What would be your advise? Like everyone else, i'm trying to get the maximum hash out of these 550's. (I'm on a budget, so I'm getting one card at at a time as I can afford them).
Hey, man @Voskoin. Quick question: I have learned a lot from you and I appreciate it. You mostly run Linux on your rigs like you mentioned and coincidentally, most of your rigs are green side rigs. Why did you choose to run windows on this RX rig during the video? Do these team red rigs run best with Windows OS or does it really even matter? I'm setting up my first rig right now (4 Rx480's and 2 Rx580's).
This is an old vid but I just did this to (7) XFX 570s tonight. They were only doing around 22 to 25 Mh/s with just Wattman settings. 2 cards were at 29 and I noticed they didn't get the extra prompt in Polaris asking if I wanted to make an additional memory change. Anyway, after the flash and then reapplying new wattman settings they are all at 30 right now. It was enough of a jump to pretty much gain a free card. Thanks.
Though it is free, it is essential. Whattomine website has those very good hashrates which includes modding and overclocks. Though I could reach those rates, I hate a crashing rig since each rig has a substantial amount of cards. ROI is also poor these days due to insane prices. Asia has lower prices for GPUs but still a long ROI.

Even if it's the same card you could have a different memory type. You should name your folder memory type and card type.
that's why I did the SN_Mem_stock/mod but your suggestion would probably make for a cleaner folder set w/ a larger farm thanks for the tip

@@VoskCoin dear brother, does this mod increase gpu fan speed,hotter temp and higher tdp?
This is great for the 560's and 570's... But the 580's that are XFX brand, you can simply put the cards in computer mode via AMD driver. Cards go from 24mhs to 30mhs using claymore miner. FYI
Sometimes and some cards still need manual memory shift. But awesome video for those who ever done a bios mod before. And it is better to mention it that the card may be bricked if bios not be moded correctly. And you may want do a video about how to bring back a bricked GPU
1st... i'm a huge fan and you are one of, if not the most helpful out of all youtube with mining and everything else.. so.. i have a 8 rx580 rig.. I modded my rx 580s and i run simplemining os.. i let it run for a day and it literally melted the sata cables right into the evga power supply.. what did i do wrong?
here is what i have:

1 x Saphhire RX 580 GB
ASUS Prime Z270-A
CPU G4400
1 x 4GB Ballistix DDR 4 Memory
8 x Risers

and i have simple mining os ( smos ) running and i'm only getting 180 mh/s ..

The new one-click bios mod editor is great news! Pixel patcher may or may not be needed depending on the card. The AMD Blockchain Driver is old. As I understand things, it was a one off temporary fix that received no future updates or support. I have tried it, and found that later AMD driver versions work as well or better. Even better yet is NOT using Windows, and going to SMOS (thanks Vosk).

I tried this earlier today and bricked my GPU and I felt terrible. The erasing of old BIOS somehow failed, making the ROM unreadable. Thankfully a UEFI boot version of amdvbflash helped me perform forced flash with the backup file. I promised myself to give up on it and just live with 30% lower hashrate... :(

this was a great guide. took my stock settings rx5804gb from 620Hs to 683Hs cryptonight. Now if I could just optimize my ryzen 7 1700. it's getting 550Hs and is only running at 43% as reported by the task manager
I bios moded multiple rx570 and 580 cards and I allways keep coming back to this video just to be sure xD btw the one click bios mod has never worked for me, I allways need to do it by hand.

Hi vosk... I need your opinion... I biosmoded my 6 rx580/8g cards +1 year ago with this tutorial reaching 30 mhs on each one, i use nicehash and windows 10... The question is, since I have ever used AMD blockchain beta drivers from 2018, do you think I should stick to them or should I download new AMD nornal drivers and switch compute mode on windows? If you get the "no descreate ati video card found" error, you can download an older version of ati flash. That is what I had to do. Thanks Vosk!

If you use HiveOS you can download all the bios for your cards, then mod them, then upload them all. Makes it nice and easy.
Terry Evans how do you do it? Ive got an 8 card rig running on HiveOS and I want to bios mod all of them. They are rx580s
I think that is not working anymore.
On your rig there is an upload and a download icon next to the AMD OC button. Use that to download and upload the bios for your cards.
Excellent tutorial... However i was wondering, after you biosmod your cards your hashrate goes up obviously, but what happen with your power consumption and tenperature ??
Hey Vosk, love the videos man! I have about 20 rigs that we just finished assembling & getting running on ethOS, and now it’s time to overclock & bios mod. Is it better to bios mod the card AND overclock in ethOS? Can I bios mod the card and then transfer it to my ethOS rig, without issue? Lastly, undervolting, do you do it with your cards?

Hi man, awesome tutorial.... I've already done this and I can say it works perfectly, I gained 6 MHs per card on a 6 GPU rig. Now I was wondering, I have W10 and Blockchain Crimson Drivers 17, can I update it to Adrenaline drivers and set it to compute mode after I have biosmodded my cards ?
Just subed to your channel. I get loads of info and thank you for that!! I'm just started ordering parts to build my first rig and I'll be using rx550's on Monero. I read you get better hash rate using Linux, however, it's easier to bios mod in windows. Is it possible to bios mod in windows and then install the card into a Linux rig? What would be your advise? Like everyone else, i'm trying to get the maximum hash out of these 550's. (I'm on a budget, so I'm getting one card at at a time as I can afford them).

Quick question: I have learned a lot from you and I appreciate it. You mostly run Linux on your rigs like you mentioned and coincidentally, most of your rigs are green side rigs. Why did you choose to run windows on this RX rig during the video? Do these team red rigs run best with Windows OS or does it really even matter?

Hey Vosk, i'm digging your VDO's, very informative. For SMOS, can you Bios Mod the RX 580's? or this can only be done with Window Miners only?
This is an old vid but I just did this to (7) XFX 570s tonight. They were only doing around 22 to 25 Mh/s with just Wattman settings. 2 cards were at 29 and I noticed they didn't get the extra prompt in Polaris asking if I wanted to make an additional memory change. Anyway, after the flash and then reapplying new wattman settings they are all at 30 right now. It was enough of a jump to pretty much gain a free card. Thanks.
Though it is free, it is essential. Whattomine website has those very good hashrates which includes modding and overclocks. Though I could reach those rates, I hate a crashing rig since each rig has a substantial amount of cards. ROI is also poor these days due to insane prices. Asia has lower prices for GPUs but still a long ROI.
