Question: is there any limit to KP acquisition that you can see or is it simply the more behind you are everyone else, the more Work Orders you'll see.
@@Renzole17 definitely want to know this myself. there probably isnt a HARD cap, but likely the Work Orders will stop appearing when you're caught up, leaving only First Crafts to add more KP.
some small tip- use your goblin toon to buy a lot echoing flux since they get some discount. and store it in your warbank. i found blacksmithing is easy to lvl up because the lesser amount of mats needed to make low lvl gears & weapons (u can sell it or give it to your enchanter) the only thing im not sure is which path im gonna take.
Nice guide I really like the new crafting changes. I never really thought of changing my loadouts for crafting. But I didn't really understand them either.
They seem to have done some updates in this week's beta update. Green level profession tools no longer require Acuity, so expect the market to be flooded with them. The blue rarity tools still require 300 acuity.
Saw another video on skilling up BS. Blizz apparently made some changes and you can either craft Sanctified Alloy or Everyburning Ignition all the way to skill 100. It'll just take longer or be more costly than doing free gear recrafts in trade.
Yeah, some very nice updates since then! I wouldn't advise doing either; sanctified alloy is very demanding and I wouldn't want to waste the mats for those on a skill point if I can get away with it. 75 is a sweet spot obv but knowing there's a path to 100 I'd only use that opportunity if the situation immediately demanded it.
TWW can't come fast enough! i love crafting in this game and i am excited looking at the trees and different ways i can essentially make money to work on my warband bank and other things for characters.
I went armorsmithing-large plate and had very little business, mainly shields. Also thinking tools/alloys. I think the first week I may not apply any points and see where the market is at.
I haven't seen/found any news about it in game or out, but do you think we will see a return of the "hidden" profession masters who give a onetime bonus to profession knowledge?
honestly i kinda doubt it, Work Orders will be the primary way to get your KP, as they increase in quantity the more behind you are. the rest will come as First Craft bonuses.
Like I said, that's not my expertise so I'll leave it to others to find out haha Profession treasures do exist and the "masters" are just more valuable treasures, so I don' t see why not.
Hey Soul, specific question for you. With the warband system coming in, can you request crafting orders between characters within your own warband that are on different servers? Specifically can you request orders for things that are soulbound, like high end armor or tools? Example alt on Dalaran server reqesting a high tier tool from a blacksmith on Area 52? Not a beta person so cant test myself, apologies if this is addressed somewhere in one of the videos.
I tested blacksmithing on the beta realms as well. The true challenge with blacksmithing is getting to 100 skill. You can reach around 85 Skill with just trainer recipes. The real challenge is getting those remaining 15 skillpoints. You are basically forced to spec into a tree that gives you recipes that allow you to max out your skill
Yes, but that's the point at where you are supposed to choose which specialisation you want to go into like in DF. Then the rest of the skill points are made from crafting those weapons, Armor or alloys
@@MrKyuuren partially, but NPC Work Orders are more for KP catchup, than a Skill building tool. maxing out your Profs have and often do require a few visits of the Darkmoon Faire in order to top off.
So should you actually have 2-3 blacksmiths? One alloy Smith and another one who uses this to make armor? Or is the effort just too much because I oversee something? Like questing?
you're overthinking it, i assure you. you wont need hundreds of KP to max out like you needed in DF. you can of course HAVE an Alloy Smith if you want, but with how Profs will not be a race to maxed, it's not a requirement in order to be competitive.
Still have HUGE concerns with the Acuity system. Especially with them making it be required to make even green tools. Base tools should not require a material you may or may not be able to get initially. I am also concerned with the NPC crafting order system. I went into Tool Making on beta and had none of the recipes to make any NPC crafting orders. If the orders are not tailored to your specialization, how are you supposed to progress? Or are you just hosed if you do tools or alloys initially?
I was about to ask this! I made a lot of gold in DF S1 by just selling the green herba and mining tools on the AH - are they now limited here? Because in DF they didnt even require going into the tool specialization, and only cost some ores
The concern over needing acuity for green tools is the client's problem, not yours. Going everburning forge is the closest to a "wrong" thing to do. I demonstrated that you can skill to 85 off the trainer alone, didn't touch profession tools, and well before that you can start R5ing items with concentration. Down the road when you have nothing left but to get those last 15 skill points (out of the 500 something you need to R5 with concentration), you'll more than likely have gotten access to recipe epics or at least have the ten knowledge you need to access at least one. At worst you're spending 30-50 per max craft. Testing can be deceptive.
Why does it say (probably see armor smithing first) on the time stamp? Are you saying do armor smithing first before weapon smithing or are u just saying to check out the details u explain in the armor smithing time stamp before watching the weapon smithing
Sparks i BELIEVE will still be a thing, but if they are in traction great news, since S1 passed Spark acquisition got better with a guaranteed weekly half Spark + catchup via Endgame content.
still not a fan of two handed weapons costing 2 sparks. It takes 4 sparks to craft two weapons for my fury warrior, but my rogue, windwalker, demon hunter, frost DK only need 2 sparks to get two weapons. If it really that big of a problem if all weapons cost 1 spark.
Staves also cost 2 sparks because they'd otherwise need a main and offhand. The suggestion you don't want to hear is to go SMF (I'm not even sure that's still a thing haha).
@@SoulSoBreezy SMF is still a thing, but has balancing issues. Always has. But some how they balance dw frost and 2hand frost fine. You have to spend extra points to do smf you otherwise wouldn’t when going the 2x2hander route (less points in tww) If i could at least transmog one handers to look like two handers i might consider it, blizz says it’s an attack animation issue, except for fury all weapons use the same slash/stab animations even staves and polearms, even equipping a two hander sword in the left hand and a one handed mace in the right hand then flipping them will still have the same attack animations.
Bismuth?? aint that a primary ingredient in Pepto Bismol? i hope that the WoW team arent so stressed that they have to chug Pepto to alleviate heartburn.
Not sure how you feel about how the professions run now, but I...(and I do mean just me) feel the crafting professions were made unnecessarily difficult and overly complicated. I do not like how crafting is going now.
I think some could definitely be simplified, but I think their intention was to try and make the crafting system itself a sort of endgame activity (time sink). For the most part, I quite like the system, and am looking forward to the NPC crafting orders.
people wanted Crafting to matter again, Blizzard felt it was far too easy and neckbeardy, so they have throttled it by increasing the difficulty, giving us what we wanted as a result. it will be easier with KP in TWW than it was with DF, but this complexity isnt going away as long as you want Profs to matter. therefore you have two choices, either you get used to the new system, or you make way for those that have/will master it.
I feel like they're a game to overcome, and it's quite fulfilling to figure it out and become successful. I feel like a BS/ENG more than I ever have. Confession: I suck at anything that's not tanking. I feel like dpsing is boring, uncomplicated and unfulfilling. But I don't want it to change, I want it to just be better and I'm okay with leaving that side of the game behind.
This is worse than the mission tables. Instead of sending followers out to do stuff for me I'm getting random orders to do stuff and toss them the goods...
