It’s almost all opposite in my case. Everything seemed fine, perfect, until I found myself feeling unappreciated, emotionally lonely. When I try to discuss about my vision for a beautiful future, praying more, sharing feelings, spending quality time without the phone, how she and I can develop ourselves, practice communicating differently, etc., her responses are always invalidating my points, cleverly switching things around and eventually blaming the problems on me. My wife has strong signs of covert narcissism and indifference. Externally, she does everything near perfectly. But there is no interested to build emotional connection.

I've been told that wives just have to keep praying for there husbands when they are lacking in those areas. To keep giving the husband what he need and then God will answer her prayers...I struggle daily with this because it doesn't seem balanced. The husband's needs get met and the wife'sneeds get met EVENTUALLY. I get soo frustrated with my husband because he literally feels like God is more pleased with doing soo much at church..yet I'm left to feel like I'm competing for his attention. He works 7 days a week...7! 5 days on the job and every weekend..even weekdays at church. I struggle in my walk with Christ because of this... I know it isn't right, but it's still true. I need HELP

I found your video because I was angry. I was angry because my husband is not meeting my needs, and when I want to talk and fix it, he gets angry and offended. It can explode into an argument, which is just mind-blowing, to me. He makes it likes he's offended. It's very narcissistic, in my opinion. It makes for depression and boredom in the marriage. I can tell you what Allen Parr said is very true. My wife and I just celebrated our 61st wedding anniversary. We were high school sweet hearts. God tested our faith and our love for each other by giving us for children who grew up to be teenagers. If your marriage can survive four teen agers at once. You will be together for ever. The GIFT of God is eternal life, how we live after we have received the free gift is how we will be rewarded in heaven. And if we get to far out of His will He will chasten his children. I am now 80 and my wife is 79. We go on a dinner date at least once a week. She has supported me in everything I have wanted to do all my life. Neither one of us is perfect. but love overcomes a multitude of sins. I retired 15 years ago from my regular job. So now we finally get to spend most of our time with each other, and we are not happy when we are apart. Staying together for life is its own reward. You can not put a price on it. Time is a big one. Being valued as a human being is a big one. Men who don't value their wives show it in big ways. But then wives should be doing the same for the man. I have a question. My Granddaughter is gay. My response to her was God doesn't approve and neither do I but she is my granddaughter and I will always love her. My wife has began to smoke pot, rather frequently with her friend, and she sometimes just stays the night at her friends house instead of coming home, and she gets upset and angry with me Bc I do not like pot, I’ve seen it destroy lives of people I love, and I don’t want that for her, and it’s got to the point now, that if I try to talk her about it, she gets mad, leaves and stays at her parents house. She’s told me that she’s going to smoke pot regardless of what I think or want. I love her to death and I want what’s best for her and us. But I don’t think she sees that way, she says that I’m just controlling and her friend doesn’t care about my wife and I, she encourages my wife to not come home to me, and doesn’t see it’s a big deal that we have issues that we need to work through, we’re looking for counselors now. I miss the wife that I married, and I don’t know how to approach her about it and not offend her, or make her mad...any suggestions?
SoulSniper Gaming if she won’t at least listen to you at home see if the counselor can at least get her to see your side of it. That you’re wanting her to not destroy her life. You also have to understand that she might feel like you’re calling out her character by telling that essentially pot will ruin her life. She’s taking your concern as an insult. Amen brother. My husband does that and more. He is able to honour and respect me as a woman. When the foundation is so strong in Christ then everything here is so much easier. Even for us as woman.
Excellent message, however, there is one aspect mentioned that I disagree. You mentioned ministry, and, our calling supersedes our marriage - Luke 14:26. However, following Jesus Christ never results in neglecting our responsibilities - John 19:27.
The #1 need of a woman/wife is love! Husbands love your wife like Jesus loved the church he gave up himself up for her! Women will do just about anything for love! From my understanding the #1 need of a man/husband is respect! Wives respect your husband. Males interpret respect as love.

I have a question. My Granddaughter is gay. My response to her was God doesn't approve and neither do I but she is my granddaughter and I will always love her. My son, her father is upset with me because she told him that she feels like she is being judged. I feel God doesn't want me to be a hippacrit so I can't encourage this behavior. Am I wrong?
Certainly not before ministry, that is the calling of the kingdom of God, if you love your father, mother wife children you are not worthy to be Christ follower, also many Christian wives are demanding and only want adoration very few are like the proverbs chp 31 women so also are men. The usual trait of a woman is like eve to dominate and listen to her like Adam did and many men do it.
What about us as men, what about the four needs every man desperately wants his woman to meet?

I agree with you except one point. The scriptures says what they mean and mean what they says. God says if she's the weaker vessel, than she is. He doesn't say how she is but he refers to her as the weaker vessel. This doesn't devalued a woman in any way but it shows the chain of command that God has established in the home.

When it comes down to the understanding part. My wife has began to smoke pot, rather frequently with her friend, and she sometimes just stays the night at her friends house instead of coming home, and she gets upset and angry with me Bc I do not like pot, I’ve seen it destroy lives of people I love, and I don’t want that for her, and it’s got to the point now, that if I try to talk her about it, she gets mad, leaves and stays at her parents house. She’s told me that she’s going to smoke pot regardless of what I think or want. I love her to death and I want what’s best for her and us. But I don’t think she sees that way, she says that I’m just controlling and her friend doesn’t care about my wife and I, she encourages my wife to not come home to me, and doesn’t see it’s a big deal that we have issues that we need to work through, we’re looking for counselors now. I’ve been essentially reduced to a shell of what I was 3 months ago. I miss the wife that I married, and I don’t know how to approach her about it and not offend her, or make her mad...any suggestions?
SoulSniper Gaming if she won’t at least listen to you at home see if the counselor can at least get her to see your side of it. That you’re wanting her to not destroy her life. You also have to understand that she might feel like you’re calling out her character by telling that essentially pot will ruin her life. She’s taking your concern as an insult. Try to find out why and reach a level of acceptance if her overall character is the same from the time you met till now.

Complete intentionality is all I was seeking with my ex spouse. I became emotionally drained that I seemed being heard from another man. Which wasn't correct and not justified. I needed to be heard and all my ex wanted was to talk about his work, how to make money, all about him. Ugh 😕
