Many years ago, I prayed to Father God on the guy I liked in school. Many times I prayed because I'm starting to have feelings for him because he's handsome, nice & a good class leader. My prayer went on for days & after some time, I said: "Father I like him. Maybe I'm already falling in love. But YOUR will be Done..." I just went on with school. Keeping my grades ok. Helping here & there. And doing my prayers. Then I heard 'He' had gotten a girlfriend. I just shrugged my shoulders off & went with school, college & work. Until I met THE person really meant for me. I got married, had Kids, & now a grandmom ❤🧡💜 and still keeping on with my prayers🙏🕊
You should have told the man that you were interested, you never told him anything. God is on His throne, He is not looking to get married and have children. You need to speak up.

I wonder if you would have shown interest if the outcome would have been different? No regrets, I am sure because God blessed you with a family and they wouldn't be who they are? But, I believe there can be more than one if He qualifies. And I believe God works through our choices good or bad. But, He just wants to be part of the process and help us make wise ones. I wonder if it could have happened sooner. But, maybe in your heart of hearts you weren't ready ? Waiting on God isn't passive. No shame here. We grow through experiences and making mistakes and learning from them. I have made my share. Some people blame God for things not happening in their life. Instead of worrying about him everyday , i always tell myself to just pray for him and wait for the right moment . Once i finally see him i promise myself to take care of him , i always pray for his heart too , i always pray that may God soften his heart and let the Lord God be the center of his life .

I don't know... I've taken a shine to someone at church and I pray about him and I and always ask according to God's will. Next thing I know the fellow is talking to me for hours at church, invited me for a hike... I start thinking about, he chills out... I pray and ask not to get overly emotionally involved prematurely and I notice immediately that my feelings about the fellow subside enough that I can chill too. We're still in touch and I think our interest will grow (or not)... Really, all I can do is pray and maintain interaction with this gentleman on a level of interest that matches his. The best thing is to not start fantasizing about a future that does not yet exist. 🤭

As a guy watching this I see all the signs of when I dated in college. She gave all the signs, yet some I ignored and didn't realize until she had left for someone else. Was to focused on myself and angry at God. As a older and wiser guy now I'm almost completely healed from the loss, I did like her a lot,but was just to fearful of the unknown, despite the Holy Spirit telling me to go for it. Not too long ago I told a guy that I wanted to spend some time with God so I wasn’t always reaching out but I couldn’t do it. I kept putting him above God…but now Im able to just effortlessly spend time with God and not be the first to message. It’s amazing what He can take away from our hearts.

I think patients is something to keep in mind too because these things may not happen right away. I think being their friend first is important and it will help you to get to know them better and see how they act around you and others. Ladies, I just want to clarify one thing. I, like most men, failed mind reading in High School, and then never showed up for the make-up exam. So trust me on this. If you want us to pursue, please do everything you can to avoid sending mixed signals. When we see that, we often just assume we read too much into the positive signals (wishful thinking on our part), and the negative ones are your real feelings. I’m a little confused about my situation. I’ve done all of these things but the “fears & false warnings” thing you mentioned hit my spirit bc I know I’ve done that. I’ve been scared & questioned his pursuing & think I scared him so he stopped. We’ve talked a little, he helped me with some home repair stuff and I invited him for dinner to say thank you whenever he’s in my area. I guess we’ll see what happens. The first thing a Godly woman or man should do is find out if God is authorizing your interest in this person and waiting for His yes or no on it. And also *His* time and season for the relationship if that is what He is allowing. Why do we repeat *Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”* If we aren’t doing it? Entering into a relationship that God has not authorized can cause an unnecessary hardship in your life. I like how being more firm/definite (in terms of expressing my feelings by responding to a guy, and inviting him) does sound like it will gently reveal his interest level and any motives, which is in everyone's benefit, because I do have a problem with getting hung up on guys who are not interested and wasting time and causing other problems. I liked the guy and prayed about him for a year, spent time with him, talked, served together in ministry, but he expressed a little less than zero interest. I cried about it for a couple days over the summer. I'm currently dating someone and need prayer for that now. I used to be one to run and hide and just be so fearful of any rejection. Then I had some life experiences and flipped the other way. It was kinda embarrassing and I felt like such a dork...and it hurt when I quickly found out the truth from a few guys (over some years lol). But I’m glad for the lesson tho. It’s better to find out the truth sooner rather than later and just rip off the band aid right away if they’re not interested or if God says not this or that one. It hurts worse to stick around in fantasy land or stick around with the wrong one and lie to yourself for too long.

Not too long ago I told a guy that I wanted to spend some time with God so I wasn’t always reaching out but I couldn’t do it. I kept putting him above God…but now Im able to just effortlessly spend time with God and not be the first to message. It’s amazing what He can take away from our hearts.
I prayed exactly like that. Everything you said, I did. I'm at peace with whatever God decides. He will have to come to me. I have responded. He knows exactly how I feel. His move now. I have sent enough. God got it.

I actually like a particular person for 2 years now, he's a Christian and a pastor's grandson, I've been praying for my feelings towards him even asked God to remove it away if it's not right or if he's not the one for me but this feelings still remain..but i pray that we'll meet next year. Ladies, I just want to clarify one thing. I, like most men, failed mind reading in High School, and then never showed up for the make-up exam. So trust me on this. If you want us to pursue, please do everything you can to avoid sending mixed signals. When we see that, we often just assume we read too much into the positive signals (wishful thinking on our part), and the negative ones are your real feelings. And then you're left feeling like we were just jerks, when all we're really doing is respecting what we thought your "wishes" were in the matter. I'm not saying throw yourself at some guys feet and beg him to ask you out (though, honestly, I've known some guys that might have actually needed something like that to break their "shyness" barrier), but by all means, give us a clear signal. I’m a little confused about my situation. I’ve done all of these things but the “fears & false warnings” thing you mentioned hit my spirit bc I know I’ve done that. I’ve been scared & questioned his pursuing & think I scared him so he stopped. We’ve talked a little, he helped me with some home repair stuff and I invited him for dinner to say thank you whenever he’s in my area. I guess we’ll see what happens. It’s hard for me to keep praying for him bc it makes me a little sad when I do bc I think I messed things up.

I've been in two relationships and both times I pursued the Woman they accepted but if you lady's invite us Christian men to pursue and we are interested you will know pretty quickly. The first thing a Godly woman or man should do is find out if God is authorizing your interest in this person and waiting for His yes or no on it. And also *His* time and season for the relationship if that is what He is allowing. Why do we repeat *Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”* If we aren’t doing it? Entering into a relationship that God has not authorized can cause an unnecessary hardship in your life. It is not worth it. *Ask God. Trust God. Wait on God.* 🇨🇦
So.. this video came out (I think) the same day I met a guy who I thought was really cool. And I'm still praying about things, to try to fully leave the situation in God's hands and not worry about it, and today someone "liked" a comment I made on here, redirecting me back to this video when I had mostly forgotten about it. Which reminded me to keep praying and... be brave. I like how being more firm/definite (in terms of expressing my feelings by responding to a guy, and inviting him) does sound like it will gently reveal his interest level and any motives, which is in everyone's benefit, because I do have a problem with getting hung up on guys who are not interested and wasting time and causing other problems. But if he IS interested, then, that would be a whole other ballpark that I would need to pray and walk through just as carefully. So, Brother Mark, Thanks again for the advice, and, if you don't mind, whoever reads this, say a little prayer for God's will to be done in this situation! @@vivaeuropa as of now it didn't work out. I liked the guy and prayed about him for a year, spent time with him, talked, served together in ministry, but he expressed a little less than zero interest. I cried about it for a couple days over the summer.
I'm currently dating someone and need prayer for that now. Thank you so much for asking, it was interesting to reflect on what's happened over this past year. The Lord is faithful.

I used to be one to run and hide and just be so fearful of any rejection. Then I had some life experiences and flipped the other way. It was kinda embarrassing and I felt like such a dork...and it hurt when I quickly found out the truth from a few guys (over some years lol). But I’m glad for the lesson tho. It’s better to find out the truth sooner rather than later and just rip off the band aid right away if they’re not interested or if God says not this or that one. It hurts worse to stick around in fantasy land or stick around with the wrong one and lie to yourself for too long.
