Your video is spot on. After watching, I easily changed out my grips on my 2018 Street Glide. Thank you.

Yes sir, glad it helped. Yeah, 36 year Aircraft Mechanic with Delta, the acronyms just kind of flow out...Lol!!

My clutch side grip was glued, but I was able to break it loose without cutting it by twisting aggressively, starting at the end of the bar and working my way inward. Mechanics gloves help with traction. Just in case anyone else had the same and needed the tip. :)
To Robert, thank you for the video. It was very helpful.

Thank you very much for your detailed video. You covered everything I was trying to discover, grip change, raising the handlebars, and readjusting the clutch and brake handle all in one video. Very much appreciated!

Great video. Thank you. Especially appreciate the extra content on adjusting the bars and the controls. I’m definitely going to try that to see if I really need new bars. Great job. Thanks again

I was replacing the stock grips on my '16 Road Glide Ultra with HD Kahunas and started on the clutch side like you did. Had a very difficult time getting the housing to close without a gap and I did have the large half-circle of the grip facing down and in the proper place in both halves of the housing. Maybe wiring was getting trapped? I put the stock grip back on and found your video. Tomorrow I'll give it another shot. One thing I didn't do was pop off the odo button so maybe doing that will help. Thanks for posting, nice bike, they look great in white.

Yeah, just make sure the clutch and brake lever assy's are nice and loose as well. Watch for pinched wires. And make sure you re-tighten everything symmetrically...you got this.

I just got the airflow grips with chrome for my 2017 Road Glide. I really like them. The stock bars on my bike were already raised up. Yours are set up just like mine and I really like the set up.

Good video. I was wondering if the throttle by wire would be affected when you change the grip, so I never changed them. Now I'm going to by a pair of Kuryakyn Kinetic grips. Loved them on my Dyna. Did you use an adhesive when you put the grips on?
Just a guess, but the pin might be an added safety feature in case the bolts somehow loosen up , the bars wouldn't fall back while you're riding. (Anyone had that happen as a kid on your bicycle? Or is it just me 😂)

The end to end free play in the throttle can be eliminated with a couple small hair ties. Wrap both twice, and run them up into the gap between the control housing and the grip. The throttle return action isn't affected, and they are barely noticed, especially if they're black. Of course, you will have to grow more hair! Nice bike!

Don’t ever use brake fluid for cleaning, I think he meant to say brake parts cleaner.

Please dont do the 21' wheel. Youll hate the ride and the handling.
