I feel like the majority of people who say they can't daily a bagger or they aren't good around town simply have never ridden them before. Since 2012 when I got my first HD bagger, I was always amazed with how well they handle all situations and how they actually handle better than the smaller HD bikes in the lineup. Also the advantage of having the bags for any small grocery runs is amazing. If you know you know.
Exactly coming from crotch rockets to my first brand new 19rgs the weight at first intimidated me cus i never rode a cruiser to big ass Harley it only took me bout a week to get comfortable the riding experience is awesome longer more meaningful rides i just love it and daily riding in town with a medium tour pack n saddle bags definitely beats wearing a back pack.
So true. I commute daily on a Road King and I'm considering getting a Road Glide. These bikes can do it all - 5 mile trip for some groceries to a 500 mile trip for vacation, no issue. This is the way.
Great review. I have a 2018 Road Glide CVO with now 115000 miles. I haven't done anything to it and it is completely stock. I ride it all year in Canada through all weather including snow. Been through hail, tornado and done over 2000 miles of dirt on the bike. Handles great and still rides like new. Only thing that occurred was a cam replacement covered by warranty at 40000 miles after I noticed a slight ticking sound at low RPM (under 2500). Reported it to dealer and they caught it rubbing up somewhere and quickly changed it. I do wish I had the 2019 infotainment but that is my only "want". Bike came with synth oil from factory and it's been changed every 5000 miles. I just did a 20000 mile trip across the USA this summer and no issues. Great vid! Subscribed!
I’ve got get 2023 RG Limited and I love it! I ride everywhere. My Chevy has definitely been neglected since my RG purchase. Like you, I never plan to get rid of my RG. Safe travels!
I like your modest description of the transmission damage. I hate that the situation happened at all but myself and hopefully many others learned what HD's TCS is capable of (I witnessed it first hand). Also, no one ever mentions that type of fuel mileage which is strange because it's true. 200 plus mile easy on a full tank. Thanks for the long term review.
Great description of the Road Glide! I’m on my second Road Glide and love it- started with the 2003 Anniversary edition which I loved but didn’t have enough power for 900lb and had some serious issues with high speed wobble. That was all fixed when the Rushmore project Road Glide came out in 2015 and I jumped on that. I still ride the 2015 RG and love it and previous issues were resolved with the new frame. The twin-cam is very reliable and easy to mod to get more power equivalent to stock 114 M8 and don’t see a need for upgrade yet (maybe if the 121 with VVT becomes standard). I never had issues with oil consumption on that bike- I only fill it to half of the dipstick. When I fill it to manufacturers specs of 4qts with filter change, it pushes oil out through the breather valves into the airfilter and gunks it up. The other issue I have like you do is the moisture in the clutch fluid which HD could never resolve- have to change it at least yearly or more often. Weird because none of my other bike brands I owned had that issue. Anyhow - I love the RG, it’s a keeper and would buy it again if need be. I had different sports bikes, still have a big adventure bike (2002 BMW GSA) and had several other Harleys.
Love my 2020 RGL! Bought it new Dec 2020. Rode it from Phoenix to Southern Minnesota and back. The huge crosswind kicked my butt but the bike handled really well. The gas finder did locate a gas station when I needed it. Best Boom Box feature for me is displaying the speed digitally in large font where I can see it easily. ETTS (parade mode?) is a great feature here in the Phoenix summer heat to prevent the engine from overheating in heavy traffic. Only mods are a backrest, Road Zeppelin seat and Legend Suspension (rear shocks). Rides like a dream. Thanks for the great review!
Agree that the Harley GPS is worthless. Can’t tell you how many times a Harley GPS has gotten me lost, even when I’m trying to get to a Harley dealership. I’ve learned to use Waze instead. Good review on your bike. Ride safe!
The oil consumption issue is why I sold my 18 ultra limited, it’s just unacceptable in modern times. Riding a 23 Goldwing tour, similar engine output but far superior performance. Finish on Harleys is very good, but mechanically speaking, they are behind the times. And many of their dealers are arrogant in how they treat customers.
Great info. I purchased my first 2021, RGS about 8 months ago. Bought it used with about 6k miles. My very first bike is a 2018 Fatboy, but I needed (better said wanted) something to take longer trips. I also test rode a SGS, (good bike), but the RGS worked best for me. I am a shorter rider, but I have no issues. Again really appreciate your content. Ride safe
Thanks for video, I also have a 2019 GRU, only 9K miles, been kinda busy and I play golf alot, 68 yrs old today so I'll get the HD out today and do some miles.
I have a 2018 Road Glide stock 107 engine with 32K miles on it. I have had no issues with oil consumption. I still use regular oil. The only major problem that I had was on my return trip to Maryland from Arizona in 2021. The stator went out on me 50 mile west of Amarillo, TX! Fortunately, Amarillo H-D got me back on the road the same day.
You made my day with your tip about how to get to the Info screen! It is the only reason I had to touch the screen. Now I can do everything from the bars! Thanks!
I have a 2021 FLTRXS with 25,400 miles and I’ve enjoyed every minute riding through the Mississippi countryside. I change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles with only a couple of ounces of oil consumption in between. I purchased a fan assisted oil cooler and dealer installed at the 1,000 service. At 24,000 miles the lifters started to clatter for several seconds during cold start up, so I had those replaced with S&S precision lifters and guides. I’ve also installed Tall Boy seat and handlebars, Tab performance mufflers. I had the unfortunate experience of someone driving on the wrong side of the road and they swerved at the last possible second, missing me by inches. So I bought the Kenwood front and rear (dual camera) dash cam system that starts recording as soon as you start the bike. I’m going to replace the suspension this spring with RWS or Ohlins, still can’t decide. Take care and enjoy the ride!
I had a 17 ultra limited with the hydraulic clutch. Now on a road glide limited 21 with the cable clutch. Wasn't happy about it but I prefer it now. Love my glide hasn't given me any problems. I did the dipstick vent firsthand because my 17 would use oil. The road glide has used very little oil between service. You might vent it or do a catch can. I have always run synthetic oils in both. It's the best bike I've had as well. The 114 just has it over the 107.
have a 2018 FLTRU with 74K kms. on it. Love it. Was a Kawasaki guy back in the day but this is by far the best bike I've owned. Have a stage 2, SE.Tuner, SE Power Cam, (6400 rpm) max with power cam, SE pipes, tallboy seat, 12" dominator bars and Legends suspension front and back. Love the hydraulic clutch, haven't had any problem with mine. Surprised on your oil consumption. I "ride" the bike and have never been down more than 1/2 a litre of oil at the 5000 change. Except for the first 1600 kms I've used syn3 in all holes. Everytime my bike goes into the shop they update the gps. The only thing that I dont like is the glare I get off the info screen with the sun at my back...but I can live with that, good vid.
Great Channel .. Great Overview .. My first Harley is my Forever Bike but my RoadGlide definitely is my favorite riding bike overall! Keep ‘‘em coming it’s always nice riding along with you .. I’m sure we’ll bump into one another eventually out here in SoCal.. until then Glide on homie
I am definitely getting either a Road Glide or Indian Challenger. So far the Road Glide is winning because of the plethora of customization options available
You can update the nav system database, but HD charges over $200 for it. And who knows how good it is. I don't know anyone who has purchased it, but it's right there on their website.
Love my 21 roadglide I also have added a tour pak. I'm 75 this is my 7th harley all baggers this is by far the best handling and most comfortable. We ride double all the time and both agree on a stock road king seat as the most comfortable. I'm only 5ft6in with 27in inseam and it's a handful stopping but can pull u turns easily and the great handling makes up for the weight. Thanks for the video
Awesome video, thank you so making this, I too have a 2020 Road Glide Special and I feel the same about the love for this Harley Davidson Masterpiece, ride safe, take care Kenneth
Yeeeaaaahhhh... I fall into that camp of considering a Road Glide :) Great video man! You mention that your wife likes to go on trips with ya. Mine too! Another thing I am considering is alternative 2 up seat options but all of the review videos I have found so far are from the rider (dudes) perspective. Cool video idea might be to get some passenger feed back from a 2 up seat shoot out. Anyhow... you rock man! Looking forward to checking out your other vids.
Thanks Mack! I do have a review up on the Saddleman Seat. My wife really enjoys it. She only took one ride on the stock seat and said never again. lol. Thanks for watching.
Love this review, looking to move up from my 99 Kawi Big Nomad in the next few years. Thanks for the no BS in the “infotainment” system. Watch EMAM every month in the winter to keep me going
I purchased my 1st road Glide about 3 months ago a 2016 last year of the twin cam which I like. I also have a soft tail CVO Convertible 2011. Like you wasn't crazy about the looks I was looking for a street Glide but listened to others who had both and suggested the road Glide. I am happy I did. I love the looks of the bike now. Great handling bike but yeah the weight I am still getting use to. I have dropped it once in a parking lot but lowered it so slowly I didn't put a scratch on it. I have put around 3600 miles in about 2 1/2 months on it. Love riding this bike!
If you would have done this ride on Saturday in the afternoon, you would have maybe seen all of us doing a poker run with CVMA 33-1. We were all over the back roads of SD. That was my first time riding through those hills, it was awesome.
Got my 2018 in 2019 after a year of the first owners time with 1806 miles. 62,000 on it now. Love it. Alot has changed from the stock bike I bought. Khrome Werks 2 into 2 Exhaust, Dynojet Power Vision, Oil Pump, Cam plate...the whole deal there with S&S stuff and Zippers 468 Cam. Added Dynojet Target Tune as well at that time. A little transmission issue was thought to be a bit worse than was discovered later but Did ReKluse Torq Clutch, Slave cylinder and basket and thought "well as long as we are in there" and did Baker Compensator, new primary chain and drive belt, and then a friend cursed the bike and said "shoulda done the stator" which went out 3 weeks later taking the regulator and exploding the magnet apparently so that was all replaced end of last year. Of course did 14's for bars, added heated grips, a buddy quit riding and gave me his stage two speakers and amp, Klockwerks Sheild (I do have 2 LRS windshields that I have never used if anyone is interested), ASR Seat (well one of my seats, have a Mustang and CVO Set as well), Added a Chopped tour pack but have my racks and all the set up options I could desire. Plenty of things beyond that have been changed. One thing I really like is the Thrashin Supply EZ Shift Inner arm lever, shift levers and adjustable brake lever. I like you, plan to keep this one forever. Its my 5th and best HD. I need more bikes........Love the channel! Keep it up!
Oil: FTH, I have run Amsoil in all my bikes over the last 25 years. From my Dyna, RGs, E-Glides to my BMW R1200 GSA I rode for a while. I always went right to Ams as soon as break-in is done. You're right, they run cooler and quieter on full syn. And as for tech; my current touring bike is a 2020 Road Kind Special. For years HD had decent stereos in their touring bikes but the tech has gotten so over the edge (2023 CVOs) that it has become cumbersome. Those fancy TVs on the dashes will fail eventually. My RK purchase was a vote for simplicity and to get back to riding a motorcycle, not a rolling tech platform. Love my RK. Keep up the adventures.
Did you vent the oil sump and bypass the breathers? Most likely the oil consumption is going into your intake thru the crankcase breathers due to crankcase pressure.
Have plans for an RGST in the late fall. Have been stockpiling parts over that last 2 years when sales happen. On oil, have had good luck with Castrol Power RS V-Twin 20W-50 full Syn (as low as $9.50 a quart) S&S full syn gear oil 80W-140 for transmission.
Ride 2019 ROAD Glide keep her Stock except for the lights and the suspension ..she runs Great My Daily Ride . just use rear brake at slow speed have dump Her haven front wheel turn little putting front brake on 😮 . Thank You for your channel 🤟
Apparently you need an aftermarket oil dip stick, which allows the crankcase to release pressure, and the oil consumption goes way down. My friend has a M8 (mechanic) and he knows. Hope it helps.
Thank you so much brother I was thinking about getting one and yes a road glide and now I’m convinced and no doubt that this is an awesome bike thanks again!!
I read somewhere that HD stated its normal operation for it to consume up to 1 quart of oil every 1k miles. 😳 That said, my 2021 Revival hasn't consumed any that is measurable. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on your bike.
Couldn't agree more with your comments. I also have a 2020 RG limited with the stage 2 torgue cam. Currently I have 30,000 + miles on it. Never been in the shop except for service at the ten thousand mile intervals,: I do the 5,000 mile services. I'm 76, not a hugh guy, 5'11 and 175 lbs and have no trouble handling the bike. In my riding career, I have had 7 Harleys and 6 others. Like you this is the best bike I have owned.
Good video. Try Red Line oil in the engine...I've tried Mobil 1 and whatnot, and have zero consumption. I rode from Spokane to Las Vegas and back (about 2300 miles) and the oil level did not change at all. Now, my 2022 Road Glide only had about 4000 miles on it at the time, but I've owned 6 M8 bikes (currently own 2 of them) and Red Line has kept the motor the quietest and least amount of consumption. They are great bikes...I'm looking forward to trying to catch up to your mileage!
the person that told you none syn. is ok was full of it ,the modern HD is set up for syn. oils . I use mobile 1, 25-50 full syn.mine only uses 1/4 of a qt. in 5k . 2020 limited.
I have a Road King now. I'm never getting rid of this bike. It's an older twin cam. I love everything about this bike. I have thought about adding another bike to the stable. Originally, I had thought about an M8 Road King. Now I'm looking at the Street Glide and Road Glide. Guess I need to test ride them for myself. Dies that fairing keep the rain off of you at speed? It seems pretty low compared to the Windshield of the Road King.
I get the sentimental aspect of the bike, Ryan, I have a 08 Electraglide that I have definitely had my ups and downs with it ( mostly suspension geometry issues, but that's all fixed now) and I absolutely love the thing, it's my bastard child and I won't give her up for love or money, kind of like the DAC song Panheads Forever. I love my twin cam, and I've ridden new bikes, and yes, they are twice what mine is... but it's not mine. And that's ok with me. What is your next rally you're going to, and are you taking the wife this time? Cheers from the Great White North 🇨🇦
@@FullThrottleHOG I'm in stage 4 cancer and my treatments were making so weak I couldn't pick it up. I'm getting better so I went and got a new standard road glide.
I love my 2021 Road Glide. I used to ride an '06 Deluxe and the Road Glide handles so much better even with stock suspension that sorta sucks. And yes the navigation is terrible. Only 5k miles but planing a trip from San Diego to KC in the Spring and up the Coast to Oregon in July. Considering the stage 2 and a tuner but probably should get suspension. 🤔
I have a Road King and similar experience. It's got 50k miles on it now. It's been great, but it has burned or burped a quart of oil or so every 5k miles since new. I tend to add about 1/3 quart every 1500 miles or so.
Great info tips, very well explain from your point of view that reflects an informed rider, no fanfare just down to earth view!! Enjoy your vid . Thanks 😎👍💯🤙
I’m currently on a Z900. Handles very well and only 465 pounds. If I move to a Road Glide, I know it won’t be the same in the corners. But what’s the RG like in the corners, being 900+ pounds and restricted lean angle?
I was thinking of getting a cheap harly or honda cruiser they seem to be comfortable to most riders and last alot longer then most sports bikes or dirt bikes, but my only concern is , are they good beginner motorcycles I own a dirt bike so I have a little experience
Hey brother. Good vid, very informal. Recently got me a used 2020 road glide. Fell in love with it, knowing that i can travel longer distances versus my Iron Sportster. So had to ask. You being on the 40,000 mileage, have u came around any major issue between 30,000 and 40,000..
Have the same bike with stage 3 done and ohlins all round Bike is awesome 41000 miles in 30 months across all terrains. round town, country lanes or motorways bike is a breeze to ride.
Great video and review. I’m looking at a RG. I’ve always had sport bikes and currently have a Zx14 which has been a fantastic bike. What sport bike did you last have and do you miss the performance? @fullthrottlehog
Nice review. I have a 2020 RG Ltd with 31K and like it a lot. It's my third RG and 1st Limited model. Installed Legend shocks on the rear this winter and hoping to try them out this week. I think the biggest disappointment with Harley's over the years has been their infotainment system. It flat out sucks. Don't know why they can't get it right with all the technology that's been around for years. I'm talking specifically about their mapping system. They should just pay Google maps any royalties they want and just put that in. The search function is horrible on that system amongst all the other shortcomings. Whoever they have on that team should be fired. They obviously never travel.
My Brother Has A F6B Honda Goldwing And He Trash Talks My Harley Constantly.... I Admit That His Goldwing Is A Tad-bit More Reliable And Powerful But Wings Just Don't Do It For Me; As Far As Sound, Look And Feel Goes ... Especially With By Me Being A 6'4" Rider.... I Felt More Cramped On The Wing. You're More In An Upright, Sports Bike Like Position On The Wing.... To Me The Harley Has More Character And Personality, Which Some May Call Soul.... I'm Not Into Bike Bashing; To Each His Own... However, I'll Choose A Hogg Over A Wing Any Time Or Day... I Think My Brother Knows That The Harley Is A Bad Ass Bike But His Ego Won't Allow Him To Admit It ... HD All Day.
Funny thing is, you never really hear of a Harley rider trash talking another persons bike. Why is that? It's because the Harley rider does not need to justify their purchase. I know the Goldwing to be one hell of a bike. But, at the end of the day, no matter how great of a bike it is, its still not a Harley. Be safe out there.
I personally don't understand why someone would put a tour pack on a bike without first having lower fairings and without also having the speaker pods on the tour pack. It just looks funny to me and also seems like money not-so-well spent. Lower fairings offer protection that the tour pack doesn't. You can buy cheap (relative to the tour pack) luggage to throw behind you if you need extra storage.
So you changed suspension, brakes and cam on top of the bike cost. That's like buying a pickup truck. No thanks, will stay with my Kawasaki Voyager. I think theGlide is a nice bike but above what I will spend. My Kawasaki doesn't use oil and hydraulic clutch works fantastic. You do a nice job with your videos.
I have a 2007 RG. Bought in 2009 with 1500 miles on when I bought it....First year for the 6 speed....I know the newer ones are leaps and bounds better, but there's just something about this Harley being my first as well....Maybe someday when she's 20 years old and all grown up, I'll let her free....😂😂😂
Sold my street glide 6-8 months ago as I have 3 sons that just keep me busy as hell thinking I need another and balance life better. Love my boys to death but I feel like I have been only living life for them thinking balance is key.
As soon as I finished watching your video, I put a call into the UK. I confirmed that as an American, you’re not allowed under any circumstances to use the phrase “Bob’s your uncle” ever again.
so aside from a faulty transmission (😂😂) you haven't had any failures? nothing wrong with the pipes, head gaskets, oil pump, lifter keepers, rocker arms...anything like that 😬
Not trying to troll. I had a 09 Ultra Classic and I loved it. I switched to BMW’s and currently own a 22 RT. The reason I switched was because when shopping for a new bike I was looking at the Harley’s, but for the same price, the BMW’s were so much more advanced in regards to rider aides, such as electronic controlled suspension along with several different ride modes., Active cruise control and heated seats . The bike preforms excellent and I haven’t changed anything, but the seat on the bike. With the Harley I upgraded the engine, clutch, seat and suspension to get it the way that I wanted it. I will say that when I did get the bike setup it was fantastic. I guess the point that I’m trying to make is that I wish Harley would catch up a little in regards to what else is available out there. Still like the bikes though. It was great riding it on the open road.

Thanks guys I appreciate it I’m going to get one very soon and now I can’t wait!
I’ve got get 2023 RG Limited and I love it! I ride everywhere. My Chevy has definitely been neglected since my RG purchase. Like you, I never plan to get rid of my RG. Safe travels!
Been on a Fatboy for 21 years now. Looking forward to getting on a Road Glide Limited one day when I can afford one. Thanks for the review.

Ive got a 20 also that i put 30k on mainly as a daily for work during the warmer days and i love every bit of it
I like the fact you are running motor company parts. Shines light on the fact that Harley/screaming eagle performance parts are a a great option.
Hey I really appreciate this video. I am receiving one real soon and this was a great watch to kinda prepare myself for it. Thanks man

Thank you for watching! I appreciate you being here.
I have ab Electra Glide now, but will be going to a Road Glide.
Nice! The Electra Glide is a good looking bike tho. I believe you will enjoy the difference with the RG. Thx for watching. 🤙🏻
Good review. I just bought my first Road King about two weeks ago. Getting her ready for the Great American Convoy through Tennessee.
Hell yeah! The Road King is a fantastic bike. Ride safe and make some memories. 🤙🏻
I ride mine everywhere and have not problem in tight areas
Thanks for video, I also have a 2019 GRU, only 9K miles, been kinda busy and I play golf alot, 68 yrs old today so I'll get the HD out today and do some miles.

have a 2018 FLTRU with 74K kms. on it.
Great video, many thanks. I've been thinking hard about a Road Glide for a few months now and you've just pushed me over the edge - I'm buying one!
Thanks B Bennett. Absolutely, I’m always down to ride with others. Reach out on IG or FB. 🤙🏻
I am definitely getting either a Road Glide or Indian Challenger. So far the Road Glide is winning because of the plethora of customization options available
Agreed Caleb. That does make a big difference. It gives you the ability to customize it for you. Thanks for watching. I appreciate ya!
Thank you for watching. I appreciate you being here.
Thank you! 🙏🏼 Hearing that EMAM brings you inspiration is one of the best compliments I can get. I appreciate you. 🤙🏻
Nice Sean! I’ll keep a look out during my weekend rides. Be safe and thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Keep it up!
Nice Bill...That sounds like an incredible build. Ride safe out there and I appreciate you watching the videos.
I got my 2020 road glide limited. My girl and my self love the bike. She say it’s the best place to take her naps while I pound the miles.
A rear view camera with the display on the Infosys would be great, also a great Harley selling point!
I'll Choose A Harley Any Day..... look,Sound, Feel And Community.👑
Hell yeah man!
Well if you dont care about power or handling.
Luv my 2020 rg limited 💖
Rode it to sturgis twice, apx 8k zero issues...😊
im at about 1/2 quqrt oil per 1800 miles on long trips, 2020 fxlrs. definitely have to pack oil on trips.
Glad I'm not alone here. It's a bit frustrating but it is what it is. Thanks for watching.
Did you vent the oil sump and bypass the breathers? Most likely the oil consumption is going into your intake thru the crankcase breathers due to crankcase pressure.
@@dieseldan5189 I have not
Have plans for an RGST in the late fall. Have been stockpiling parts over that last 2 years when sales happen. On oil, have had good luck with Castrol Power RS V-Twin 20W-50 full Syn (as low as $9.50 a quart) S&S full syn gear oil 80W-140 for transmission.
Thats a good way to do it J.R. Good luck on the purchase, you won't be disappointed. Be safe and thanks for watching.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing. Be safe.
Thank you so much brother I was thinking about getting one and yes a road glide and now I’m convinced and no doubt that this is an awesome bike thanks again!!
Great video and review man! When my time comes I'm torn between the Lowrider ST and the Road glide. The ST seems like a good bang for your buck.
That’s a great choice. Truth be told, I see an Lowrider ST somewhere in my future. 🤙🏻
I have a RGS and I love it. But if I had to do it again I’d buy the Lowrider ST. That bike is wicked!
I read somewhere that HD stated its normal operation for it to consume up to 1 quart of oil every 1k miles. 😳 That said, my 2021 Revival hasn't consumed any that is measurable. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on your bike.
I too read something like that. I appreciate you watching. 🤙🏻
40k later and still doesn't...🤷♂️
Wow I never knew about the right toggle accessing the info page. Glad I watched! Thank you!
Your an inspiration DonA. I hope I am blessed to ride for many more years to come. Ride safe. 🤙🏻
@@FullThrottleHOG I have been called a lot of things, but never an inspiration. LOL! Ride safe and for as long as you can.
Thanks for the tip Pac. I will be giving that a try. Ride safe. 🤙🏻
the person that told you none syn. is ok was full of it ,the modern HD is set up for syn.
That’s awesome Bill, I feel ya there. Wife and I talked this morning about her joining me for the 120th. 🤙🏻. Thanks for watching.
I’m trying to decide in next 3 years if I want road glide or street glide. I’m only 5’7 small guy
I'm on my second road glide and love it. Just wish I would have kept the first one.
What happened to the first one if I can ask? Thanks for watching.
@@FullThrottleHOG I'm in stage 4 cancer and my treatments were making so weak I couldn't pick it up. I'm getting better so I went and got a new standard road glide.
Thinking about getting a Road Glide. Thanks for the info 👍🏻
Suspension is key for sure. But, if you do go with the stage 2, it definitely wakes the bike up. Your upcoming trips sound great! Be safe out there.
@@FullThrottleHOG Thanks! Enjoying your road trip videos.
I have a Road King and similar experience. It's got 50k miles on it now. It's been great, but it has burned or burped a quart of oil or so every 5k miles since new. I tend to add about 1/3 quart every 1500 miles or so.
That ain't normal
Great info tips, very well explain from your point of view that reflects an informed rider, no fanfare just down to earth view!!
Enjoy your vid .
Thanks 😎👍💯🤙
Great info and review on the road glide! Thx
Get that module thats activate CarPlay best 20 buck investment u will buy completely brings that infotainment up to date
Good call. I will probably do that this week. I’ve been putting it off for no reason. Thx 🤙🏻
I’m currently on a Z900. Handles very well and only 465 pounds. If I move to a Road Glide, I know it won’t be the same in the corners. But what’s the RG like in the corners, being 900+ pounds and restricted lean angle?
Just came across your channel, good job. What handlebars are on your bike?
Do you have a review on that Simpson helmet? Also what model is it?
Excellent review!! Just bought one 🎉and really love It, very comfortable and nimble, is there a big difference between stock 114 and stage 2 ?🤔
I was thinking of getting a cheap harly or honda cruiser they seem to be comfortable to most riders and last alot longer then most sports bikes or dirt bikes, but my only concern is , are they good beginner motorcycles I own a dirt bike so I have a little experience
Good video. Love my 2019 Ultra and it’s a keeper too. Did you install the HD torque cam?
I did. That really woke up the bike. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
I Loved Street Glide and I Hated Road Glide, thats until I test rode both. I prefer Road Glide now!
Im an hydraulic clutch fan...but I keep a quart of oil because it will burn! Smh
Yeah man...It does bother me that I have to always be checking that oil. Thanks for watching.
how did you find the pedal set up, brakes and shifter?
Have the same bike with stage 3 done and ohlins all round
Bike is awesome 41000 miles in 30 months across all terrains. round town, country lanes or motorways bike is a breeze to ride.
What do you daily? I’m interested in something bigger for my 1 hour highway commute 2021 fat bob stage 2
Not my daily driver, so it’s hard to say. But, I love this bike for quick trips and long hauls. 51k in less than 3 years. Loved every mile.
I like the helmet you wearing can you say which is the model please thanks 🙏
It’s the Simpson Mod Bandit. 🤙🏻
Another excellent video buddy 👍
Thank you Scott! 🤙🏻
Nice review keep up the good work
Thank you Marcus. I appreciate you taking the time to watch. Be safe.
Great review! Exactly what I needed.
When you went stage 2 . Did u use the se8- 447 torque cam?
Great video and review. I’m looking at a RG. I’ve always had sport bikes and currently have a Zx14 which has been a fantastic bike. What sport bike did you last have and do you miss the performance? @fullthrottlehog
Nothing better than a RG no doubt
Agreed man. I just can't get enough. Thank you for watching.
@@FullThrottleHOG you’re absolutely welcomed sir …
Awesome content as usual!
Thanks Robert. I really do appreciate ya! 🤙🏻
Loving my road glide. I’m subscribed
Hello Kelly, thanks for being here...I appreciate you.
How tall are you? I’ve heard that heigh kinda matters when riding a big bike like this
I'm 6'3".
Getting Apple Car Play on this thing is an absolute must. $15.
I agree. Car Play is awesome! Thanks for watching.
What saddle do u have on that RG? Thank You
Great content very informative
Thanks Gary. I appreciate you taking a look. Be safe.
I have a 2022 Road Glide Special. The only complaint I have is the clutch cable adjustment. It's made of plastic and is a poor design.
@@FullThrottleHOG 💯👍🏾
Why does yours have only 5.8 gallon fuel tank, when everyone else has a 6 gallon tank? Weird
5.8 is the proper measurement. Maybe folks are rounding up. This is for the 2020 model, I’m not sure if the 2024’s are still 5.8 or moved up to 6.
@ no it’s been 6.0 gallons for years since the frame change in 2009.
Difference in opinion. I definitely disagree with you here. But that’s why your bike is your bike, and mine is mine.
@@FullThrottleHOG True. Nothing is worse than a stock bike. Keep up the good work buddy.
Oil consumption, yes, 2,300 miles and needs a quart. Glad it's not just my bike.
Sold my street glide 6-8 months ago as I have 3 sons that just keep me busy as hell thinking I need another and balance life better. Love my boys to death but I feel like I have been only living life for them thinking balance is key.
These brand new bikes use oil??? That would be a big pass for me i was actually going to buy one tomorrow. Thanks for the info!
Sharknation......I love my 21 RGS
Nice!!!
As soon as I finished watching your video, I put a call into the UK. I confirmed that as an American, you’re not allowed under any circumstances to use the phrase “Bob’s your uncle” ever again.
Well, at least you finished the video first. 🤣🤣🤣
I enjoyed it
..wait.. Bob's your uncle? Bob's my uncle, too! We're cousins!!!🎉
What up Cuz! 🤣
so aside from a faulty transmission (😂😂) you haven't had any failures? nothing wrong with the pipes, head gaskets, oil pump, lifter keepers, rocker arms...anything like that 😬
Nope. No issues at all. Well, besides the transmission. 😳
@@FullThrottleHOG 😂, thats killer man, when do you think you'll hit 100k?
@@squid148 I think there is little doubt Harley doesn't offer the best value for your money...but it's a Harley 😆 and the Harley tax is real 🤣
