I coach basketball. We do something I call the NFL drill. Split team in 2 groups. Start with a time to complete the drill in, say 65 seconds, 9 trips, wall to wall, approximately 33-35 yards long depending on the gym we are in. When group one finishes, group 2 starts. Complete the drill, 2nd trip has less time to complete, say 60 seconds, group one goes first again followed by group 2. Great condition drill. With that said, I can see me adding this Beep drill to our current drills. Now, as some said above, the kid in the orange penny closest to the camera cheated on every trip. If I was the coach, he'd had gotten an ear full from me.

I used to coach a kids football team and did the bleep test monthly. One of the kids brothers asked to join in with the test. He was 14 at the time.
He was wearing flip flops (thongs)
He completed it (the only one who did) and he wasn’t even out of breath.
Unbelievable.
Every other kid was in awe of him.
