To me it seemed like the opposite, the sponge looks dry and it took tiny resistance to cut. You can see the knife not smoothly gliding through the layers while cutting

@@Cathymazzini I used the same shaped pan shown in the video. I’m other words I basically just used a glass rectangular pan and it always comes out good! I said this a year ago and I’m still using it todya

@@jk6586 sorry, didn't notice your question before. I used 8 inch round mould, no adjustment to the recipe. Just lined the bottom, should not line the sides. Only then it rose & cooled very nicely. 😊

On the ingredients list baking powder is not listed but is indicated on the vedio. I bake it today but it flopped still tastes good. Want to try again. My daughter even eating it while hot😁😁
Depends on your round pan size but you could split the batter in half and bake it so you get two sponges. If they turn out thick just cut it in half and u’ll get 4 sponges. That would make a goood cake.
