Barry without facial hair... WHAT A CONCEPT!!! Actually, 3 song videos were apparently made around the same time, this being one of them. As for the other two... there is an alternate video for "Stayin' Alive" that also has a bare-faced Barry, as well as an alternate video for "How Deep Is Your Love" with a bare-faced Barry. All three of these were recorded in a similar style and have a similar look. Apparently, all three of these videos were made before the songs became hits, and the other videos for "Stayin' Alive" and "How Deep Is Your Love" (the ones where Barry DOES have facial hair) were made later on. As far as I know, the bare-faced Barry video for "Night Fever" was the only video made for that song. To find the alternate video for "Stayin' Alive" (you really want to see this one as there is some hip shaking going on), look for the keywords BEE GEES STAYIN' ALIVE VIDEO 2 . It's worth the time to watch it.

I guess this music video was made in '78, but not shown to the public until 26 years later in 2004. It was shot in a darkened studio, layered over the🎥 background video filmed while driving along "Motel Row"🌃....which was a 3-mile motel strip & is now Sunny Isles Beach, FL🎼!

Oh you gota love that wah wah pedal effect on the backing guitar...topped with the short sharp riffs and the superb vocals makes this an instant floor filler at any disco....thank you ladies for this reaction xx

Night Fever is such an iconic disco song. Along with Stayin' Alive, this song defined an era. The Bee Gees dominance of 1978 was incredible. This was when disco was the most popular musical genre and the Bee Gees were the top musical group in the world. While I love all the different eras of the Bee Gees music, this is my favorite. Just feel-good, fun music.

One of their great 70s songs! Classic Bee Gees (at least for my younger generation, this is what we mostly associate with them). Can't help but to be happy and dance when this plays

You have to stop doing this to me. Now there is no calming myself down for awhile. This was the soundtrack of my life at the time. There was feathered hair, satin shirts and stacked heels. I love everything about it (and I know exactly what you are talking about). I already loved the Bee Gees since the first time I saw them on TV in 1968. "Main Course" from 1975 is one of my favorite albums of all time. It is just "Night Fever" feels personal. The music was, and is, magic. ❣❣

I think that this was the second Bee Gees song I heard apart from stayin alive about a year ago, and since then I've been listening to all the Bee Gees music and there are so many awesome songs. I can't wait for you to listen to the other Bee Gees songs and thanks for all the reactions.

I can totally relate. We loved it. The clubs were fun. Lighted dance floors. Dance all night. And breakfast after. We never saw fighting in the clubs and didn't worry about people spiking your drinks and all that garbage. Clubs today wouldn't be the same, unfortunately.

Oh the memories. 1977. Graduating high school.
Lots of homework. Listening to the radio a lot. Discos were all the rage. My "cool" R&R purist buddies ditched their "disco sucks" mantra when they found out all of the girls were packing the discos. But the music definitely didn't suck.
This song and Stayin' Alive from the soundtrack album of the movie "Saturday Night Fever" were played nearly endlessly on the radio.
I recall the DJ on a popular radio station playing
Stayin' Alive back-to-back. He said it was the first time he had ever done that. I believe it was the first time the station had ever done that.
And this was a R&R station here in New Orleans.
Talk about a change in culture. The Bee Gees wrote many of the songs on the soundtrack.

The drum beat from this song was looped and used as the drum part for Stayin' Alive, because Dennis Bryon, the drummer, had to attend urgently to some family affair, and the Bee Gees could not wait to put down their new record - a timeless classic to be, as it turned out. Later, Bryon overdubbed a few cymbal hits though, when he got back, listened to the playback of Stayin' Alive and did not find anything more to add to it ))

This Song helped change the name of the Movie Saturday Night to Saturday Night Fever. The Bee Gees were asked to write Songs for the Movie Saturday Night and the Bee Gees said they had written a Song called Night Fever, The Bee Gees allowed Night Fever to be used in the Movie Title and Saturday Night became Saturday Night Fever and the Song Night Fever was used in the Movie.

I’m so glad they changed the movie title based off the song… I couldn’t imagine if it was only “Saturday night” - the fever adds extra oomph

I know what you mean. What surprises me is how many girls fit into one car. And we did the same thing sometimes we would go from dancing all night, then we would go have breakfast in the morning before going home. I used to go with my sisters and as many friends as we could get in the car. I love Night fever, but then again I love most of The Bee Gees songs!

8 weeks on the #1 billboard US Top 100 and world #1 in 1978 worldwide in 23 countries - every dance floor around the world were packed full, when especially this song starts and millions (including me) learn to dance in dance schools the disco shuffle - the ultimative classic, was not only the hallmark of 70ties disco but also the first "bop" in music history 🕺🧯🔥
