Filtaration and fuel quality IMO, is the most important factor in getting the most out of these injectors. Spend a little more buying top tier fuel and use a quality injector cleaner with each tank.

Question to the experts: Often I seen people get recommendations to replace all six injectors when the general return test is ran on Cummins 5.9 and 6.7 engines. I was always trained that only replace the injectors returning excessive fuel. Which side are you folks on?

How many miles would you say the typical common rail injectors are good for? Does good fuel supply pressure and filtration greatly extend this?

Stock filters is about 150k miles is usually when 5.9 injectors go bad. 200-250k miles with a airdog fuel pump cleaner fuel they should live longer.

@@NathangiesI run a Fass 150/150 and the factory Cummins Stratapore filter. Currently have 282,500 miles on original injectors.

And price of sending the ones in that are bad. I’m a little old fashioned, if 1or2are bad eventually others soon or later will fallow suit!.

I was thinking about having Steed Speed make a two piece manifold that would 2 cyl into one turbo and the other 3 into one manifold with the other into a second turbo. So has anybody ever tried this and would I gain anything or just a waste of money ?

Waste of money unless you plan to use a tubular manifold. You will pay way more for a custom log manifold than to just buy a hot pipe.

You never mentioned the price for rebuilding, and (why not) the price for 6 injectors already rebuilt?. Probably send old ones in for core!

Better off buying new Bosch and absolutely leave your truck stock. Great video but I’m not buying any remans.

Where is the fun in that? What the hell would I do with my time if I had no truck to constantly work on?
