So nice to see Britney and hear about 1st day of school for the girls ❤ Oh, and loved the fabric too 😊. We're so lucky that our quilt store carries Northcott and lots of batik. It's really hard to not come home with more fabric every time I go there. ❤
I have a 11 yr old granddaughter that LOVES fabric!!! I have deconstructed several cotton shirts for her to play around with. I also had a quilter friend that had a Garage Sale this summer, and I was able to pick up some goodies for her there. She just got a sewing machine for her birthday. She was Soooo EXCITED!!!! Everyone thought it was funny that an eleven year old was excited about a sewing machine. We're working on a couple of projects now.
Such a wonderful thing to teach her!! I taught my 8 and 5 year old granddaughters to make doll quilts this summer. They loved it! You are making memories 🥰🙏
@sandysmith6277 there's a quilter online named Cathy Martin, her blog is called Catbird Quilts and her whole gig is to pick out 100 % cotton men's shirts from thrift stores for quilting fabric. She had a video on how to cut them for the most usable fabric.
Eggs cooked in the holel of a slice of bread sometimes cutting the circle so the crust was off of it, My cousin's called Birds nest eggs with because the egg was in the nest
I loved seeing Brianna and Brittany back together! Brittany you need to come around more often now that your kids are all in school! Don't get me wrong, I love love love Cindy and Brianna together but Brianna and Brittany was a nice change! I know the quilting Mom crowd in our 30's is growing, it was nice to see it here today! Like shopping with friends! I really need to get my Mom and I out for a retreat!!!
Cindy, I hope you’re feeling better soon! I enjoyed Brianna and Tracey this morning and box opening tonight! I loved listening to the stories of the littles heading off to school! My sister is a 3rd grade teacher and she said they came in this year with a whole lot of energy!!!
As a former elementary school secretary, I can tell you I dried WAY MORE parent tears than I did kids’ tears!! So good to see Brittany. I can remember when I first started watching the show, that I couldn’t figure out “who was who”! Brittany? Brianna? Brothers married sisters???? 🤪
America's Test Kitchen has a great instruction/recipe for coddled eggs in ramekins. (The advantage of the ramekins is that you can use them for creme brulee😂). With the coddled eggs you need "soldiers"...long strips of toast to "dunk" into the egg yolk!
Oh, my best friend wanted to know if you paid the total $899, when you sign up for a retreat, or if you could make payments. I told her that I thought you paid it all upfront hu t y
I want to do the hexes, because if I am watching TV, if my hands are not busy, I WILL EAT. As I set here and finish a Baby Ruth, and a TOOTSIE ROLL SUCKER!!!
I'm the same. If my hands aren't busy doing something, they will be busy feeding my mouth! A bag of chips are gone before you can say 'Can't eat just one!' lol.
Brianna you need to show your sewing room 😊
Omg Brittany. I’ve missed you. We need you back more often
Gorgeous fabrics today! I want all of them!! Nice to see Brittany too! 🥰

Then came June is one of my favorite designers.

The Water Garden would make a lovely quilt coat!
Brittany, it’s nice to see you in front of the camera.

Love the girls renaming all the colors. I appreciate the detail! Plus it’s funny. They should have hired you to name them! 😂
OK I admit I still have a couple of pieces of silk I purchased in Singapore in about 1994 that I now class as pets
Southern girl here loves my fried egg (yolk slightly runny) with grits and butter. The grits should not be runny!
You can make “French Toast Casserole” with leftover bread, fried bacon and milk and eggs all combined, put in the over at 350 for about 20 minutes.
I call it eggy in a window. My kids have never had it though because I only make them scrambled eggs. 😂😂

Not all fabric shops get the same fabric at the same time. My local shop just got one in you got in over a month ago.

I really would love to bake with Harper. In May of next year.
