3:41 this the first song I heard from freddie and this exact line is when I realized he's got somethin special when it comes to flow. so glad they both seemed to love it
This project is phenomenal. Its transitions are so seamless. Your dad’ll love Alchemist. And he will soon realize that Alc is the goat producer. I feel like this project is also a great entry into this area of rap, so soon his ears’ll be prepared to listen to people like Westside Gunn and Boldy James
Freddie’s confident delivery and at times dark lyrics on top of the high class and jazzy Alchemist production makes the picture in my head of Freddie being a mafia boss
I think the beauty of this channel is that it makes you appreciate again all the little things you forget about songs after becoming desensitized overtime. And also discover new things to appreciate too.
Shouts to the Alchemist man… man the work he did on this is spectacular. Nobody blends the end of a song into a new song as well as he does. Freddie was rapping out of his mind too. Great album. Going to spin it again, its been a while.
Alchemist transitions are crazy. On "The Alchemist Sandwich" the transition from The Hopeless Romantic to Massacre is soooo crazy. Sometimes I think about Massacre but hae to let both of the songs play, cause it's just so damn good
I think King’s disease that won it that year. Yeah agree Alfredo is the 2020 AOTY. What’s funny is KDII and KDIII are better than Nas’s grammy winning album.
You both are spot on about freddie dude. His ability to float over top a backing track and finding unique pockets is crazy. There's like 5 flow switches in the first MINUTE of Frank Lucas. Unreal
Freddie has been consistently putting out banger after banger records for some years now. He is definitely ramping up to be one of those artists that can be in the discussions about being the best rapper
I remember commenting to do this album all the way back when you were showing your dad TPAB. Awesome to finally see this come to fruition. Love the content guys, stay blessed!
Woowww was not expecting y’all to cover this! Freddie is one of my favorite artists, his flows are just so smooth and addicting to listen to. Excited to see what your dad thinks of this one!
Never would have tried this album out and that's what I love about this channel, hearing people, especially your dad as a musician, being excited about music. It makes me so much more open to trying it myself without giving up too early. I would recommend Run The Jewels 3 as an album for you guys to try out, it's what got my dad and I into hip hop and I think it's a really interesting and well crafted album. Much love for what you guys do
This was one of the few albums that powered me through Quarantine. Such an amazing project from front to back. I hope Gibbs and Alchemist collab for a future project again because their chemistry is superb
My favorite thing about Alfredo is that it is a product of 2020. The references to The Last Dance, Tiger King, the George Floyd protests, the lock down. It was my summer anthem and is still heavily in my rotation
The soft classy production of Pray for Paris with the heavy hitting and dark lyrics are perfect, came out the same year but a bit before too. Definitely worth listening to. Tyler is also featured on ‘327’ on it and he credits Westside Gunn for making him want to rap again. Benny and Conway from this album are on it a bunch too. You guys will love it
Agreed. Would love to hear Kevin listen to Pray For Paris or just more Griselda in general. God Don't Make Mistakes by Conway would be interesting aswell as it's a deeper record
Such a good album, the Alchemist is a legend with the production and Freddie has the insane ability to flow over anything. Definately a summer album too imo.
Never listened to Gibbs before this album and I have to say this is one of the best projects I’ve ever heard period and I know too much music, more than I want to know.
Alchemist beats are like going to a bigger/foreign store of a franchise u know where u find products u've never seen, everything is interesting and different to what u know but most times better

And big shout out to pops for recognizing and pointing out parts and things the average person doesn’t notice. Love the video, I just subscribed to yall. Looking forward to more music reviews, especially Freddie Gibbs.
It's crazy how personal experience affects your relationship with music. I'm from New Zealand which means this dropped heading into winter, so to me this album gives me very strong cold, dark wintery vibes, as I used to listen to this heavily on my way to work early in the morning that June-July. It's kinda weird for me to hear Connor say this sounds summery! That's why I love music though! Something to Rap About is probably the only song from this record to give me summer vibes.
Babies & fools will forever be a favorite song of mine because I first heard it in the winter of 2021 going through a hard time and the song just embodies that time in my life so perfectly which is a bad reason to call it one of my favorites but sometimes it’s a good reminder to not do anything that’ll ruin what I have now

Love this album. One of my favorites to wrk out to. Just push play and let it ride. This album is very stress relieving to me. Makes me feel really relaxed
yall would love fetti, some of my fav uncle alc production with freddie goin hard. would be a great intro to currency also not sure if yu guys have done any of his projects yet.
really hope at some point if they keep exploring Alchemist production the arrive at Haram, really curious about that particular Armand Hammer album reaction, the way Alchemist been crafting soundscapes tailormade for rappers in the past years is mesmerizing

I think the reason that Gibbs works so well with guys like Al and Madlib is that he has a really soulful voice and delivery.
