@@Chronicallyaddictedtomusicburden ain’t even bennys best, and arguably the new album better lol but Tana and plugs I met>>> those are stupid wayyyy harder
This that Pandemic winter time album. When nobody was out in the street cuz mostly everyone stayed home. And you just crusin through the streets bumping this. That was only 2 or 3 years ago and its already a nostalgic feeling when Alfredo come on. All i had was a few cars around me in the city in the nighttime, while Freddie was singing me the blues man. Thats how this album felt to me. It was like a bluesy album. Something that got me thru. Alchemist and Freddie got us through a crazy 2020-2021 period with Alfredo.
The moment your father got hyped about the sample was magical, that's the magic about sampling. As Robert Glasper said it's like "musical plastic surgery" it's almost like recycle fashion. And I had a reflection watching the video, about how flow is something that is almost like martial arts. Because you have to really know how to flow, be in time, know how to control time, maintain a sense of presence in the listener. The way Freddie controls his breathing, controls time, bends the tempo of the song is immersively bizarre. This album is totally cinematic, it's a film for the ears, Alchemist is the Quincy Jones of Hip-Hop.
Yup, I’d say better than Kendricks and Fred smokes weed Kendrick doesn’t. Kendrick Lamar is scared to perform Rigamortis whenever he gotta double time.
I think they actually have an EP finished, which makes it worse. At a minimum, they have a chunk of unreleased songs together. I remember hearing a clip where Benny acknowledges Mach getting back in Griselda and wishes him the best, and that would've been a cool line to hear released.
I wish they didn’t have beef and would release music together but if they do have beef I wish they would have a proper rap beef and release some diss tracks because I would love to hear diss tracks from both of them
@@MrAllhalebreaksloose Spitta's style is way more laid back than Freddie's. That said, I prefer Freddie's verses on most of the EP, but I also appreciate what Curren$y brings to the project.
When pops gets those memories when he listens to the music it’s like we can see him go back in time and can see him when he was younger jammin to the original song of the samples that Freddie used it’s a blissful feeling❤
Saw Feddie last Novemeber in Spokane Washington. He came out to 1985, and mainly played cutz from Alfredo, Pinata, and Bandanna. He was a immaculate showman. Deliverly like the record. He just goes in, regardless if the dj dropped the ball that night, and he did. He threw water in the crowd, during the beatswitch to Fake Names. God was perfect fire as well. It was a club of 200 people so we were front row.
Need some Griselda reactions, whether it's Everybody Can't Go, Plugs I met, God Don't Make Mistakes, WWCD, Pray for Paris, From King to a God, or Supreme Blientele, or a bunch of others, Hall and Nash 2 also just came out with Alchemist production and that would be a fire reaction
Alchemist might've become ny favorite producer of this era. His second run has been insane! It exposed me to so many artists like Roc Marciano, MIKE, Wiki, Navy Blue, Zelooperz, etc. So good! And his work with Earl and Action Bronson omg!
One big reason I love Freddie is honestly the authenticity he speaks with this dude scares me in like a Big L way where in like yeah this dude ain't lying
Super classic album.. Pops reaction to the “Look at Me” song was dope taking him down memory lane. Fun fact.. it was a sample from the group “The Moments” BUT he was also referencing UGK’s “Look At Me” song from their album “DIRTY MONEY”
Man pops really enjoyed this album. From the samples the production to the rhymes from Gibbs. It was dope to witness his first listen cuz I damn sure wish I can relive that again lol 🔥🔥
For me, this album needs to go down as one of the greatest hiphop albums of the 2020s. This also such a covid album for me, same for Westside Gunn's Pray for Paris and Jay Electronica's A Written Testimony... they give such unexplainable vibes...
Will never! But after listening to that song so many times I think my favorite thing that ive picked up on over those listens is the piano keys. I love how those keys kind of keep you in a trance. Almost like it's hypnotizing but in a good way. Like you mezmorized.
It's been said but... more Griselda!! Tana Talk 3 by Benny, Flygod/Supreme Blientele or Pray For Paris by Westside. Or From King to a God / God Don't Make Mistakes by Conway. Reject 2, G.O.A.T or E.I.F are sleeper hits from Conway too. WWCD by all three would be a good pick. Curious to hear your dads take on their lyricism & sound! Lemme get a shot for every time ya pops said "woah" during that Benny verse 😂Peace to y'all
This album is such a classic man
Sure was bob
Best album of the 2020s
For sure man! @jerbob1413
No skips and that isn’t said much for a lot of albums
@@liamsorensen9680shoulda won aoty too
we need “Pray for Paris” by westside gunn next😭
i can’t for them to listen to Westside. i think his dad will love the beats

Could also recommend you follow up that with “And Then You Pray For Me” as well. It’s amazing 👏❤️
@@Tsutsu5 I agree. Still better than Pray for Paris though. HWH8 or Flygod is his best Imo.
Freddie’s breath control is crazy. Pop caught that right away 😂

Winter time? This came out at the end of May 2020 💀
@Agent1245_ true. But I first heard this in winter of that year. It also sounds like a winter time album. Eastcoast, jazzy, bluesy feels to it
Gotta do Pinata next!
lmao he didnt do pinata yet? thats boutta be a fire video
Imo, Pinata is much better. The song, “Uno” is my favorite Gibbs song.
Mine is "Real" so emotional of a song from the first beat to the switch.
Shitsville my fav. Real close second.
@@KalistoDreams uno and robes are incredible

W comment 🔥
Quincy Jones of Hip Hop holy shiiiiiiiit you might have totally nailed that
Freddie has some of the best breath control in the game, it's insane.
Yup, I’d say better than Kendricks and Fred smokes weed Kendrick doesn’t. Kendrick Lamar is scared to perform Rigamortis whenever he gotta double time.
He was in the army or sum like that so
Plugs I Met is a necessity after pops enjoying Benny's verse
I second this that album is phenomenal
Man Freddie and Benny beefing is so tragic- an EP like Fetti with those 2 would be insane
I think they actually have an EP finished, which makes it worse. At a minimum, they have a chunk of unreleased songs together. I remember hearing a clip where Benny acknowledges Mach getting back in Griselda and wishes him the best, and that would've been a cool line to hear released.

Facts...Gibbs low key killed Spitta on that whole album though
