Your videos are great and have helped me correct my oral posture (I can now through suction put the back of my tongue back until it touches my tonsils). I still have one question :) - My face was thoroughly developed until I was 17/18. In quarantine, my overall posture deteriorated and so my oral posture worsened as well. I am nineteen now and I have the feeling that over the course of 2020 my face has gotten flatter and longer and it has been harder to maintain good oral posture (I still breathed through my nose but my tongue did not rest optimally). Regarding my age, I think that it is almost impossible that my face visibly developed in a negative way in that short period of time and my perception of it might be body dysmorphia. In my country, unfortunately, there are no myofunctional therapists so I wanted to consult your opinion on my case. Thank you very much, I immensely appreciate your youtube videos!

Briar, feel free to schedule a free consultation with me through sommerspt.com. That way we can discuss the details of your specific case. I'm not sure what country you are in, so please consider the timezone difference when scheduling :). I am in California, USA, so am on Pacific Standard Time.

@@allsleepashley Thank you! I will gladly look into it. I live in rural Germany. Do you think a visible downward facial growth could have happened within a year?

@@briarhyacinth7764 It is difficult for me to say for sure. Bone does remodel constantly and you are still young, so it may be possible. Also, it may be that the downward facial growth reached a threshold within the last year that allowed the growth to be more obvious to the human eye... meaning it had been trending in that direction for quite a while but only recently became more noticeable.

@@allsleepashley I see where you are coming from! I think that it getting worse, as now I can’t maintain proper oral posture with my lips sealed which is something that has never happened before. I will schedule an appointment!

Thanks for making this series :)
My tongue seems to lift inappropriately after eating or being aggrevated, causing it to press against my soft palate which in turn lifts and blocks my airway when exhaling (but not when inhaling).
Nobdoy seems to understand why this happens, I'll see if strengthening my hyoid related muscles helps.
