Gawd yes, she is my favourite! Well, Angel and Lil Papi are my favourite together but, you know what I mean! Elektra is the best, and she must be respected!
I literally fell off my couch laughing the first time I saw that scene, the pause took me clean out! And when I finally watched it through Lulu and Angel's peanut gallery had me weak! "Go get the clam chowder...before the clam chowder gets you!"
I can't believe Candy speeding for her hammer to fight one of the judges did not even get an honourable mention. That scene was so iconic for her character and how messy and hotheaded yet resilient she is.
If Elektra reading that woman for filth, taking a sip of water and then continuing to read her for said filth wasn't on this list I would've been so pissed.
The scene where the dance teacher goes to visit her dancer who is in the last stages of Aids. It has been a long time since a single scene made me show such emotion. I cried for 10 minutes solid!
Andyontherocks I broke down during that scene too. Seeing how they were left, nearly neglected, and holding onto memories from before, broke me. I had to pause to just sob.
I had to pause the Candy episode several times...i was crying like my best friend had died. That episode and Angelica Ross deserve all the awards. Also pay tribute to the LEGENDARY Stephanie Mills for giving us "Never Knew Love Like this Before"
My favorite moments from Pose: - Angel and Papi marriage proposal - Museum heist - Elektra reading the heck out of some white woman - Blaca wins Mother of the Year - Damon gets accepted into the school - Candy's farewell - Praytell's walk - House of Evangelista vs House of Ferocity - Blanca and Elektra's mother and daughter moments
POSE is such a good show and educational. When Elektra reads Lulu and Candy she renewed her library card for eternity. But my all time favorite episode was the one that was also bittersweet and that was an important episode was when Candy died. When she lip synced I almost wanted to cry because she didn’t need to die but I understand why this particular episode was important. White trans people do get discriminated but they make it out to the other just barely. Black and brown trans people aren’t that lucky and that’s why this show is needed today so we can learn and understand. On a side note if I were Blanca I could’ve shut down Federica with this read: MADONNA WAS THE BETTER EVITA!
Dude I balled my eyes out during her lip singing performance. I hate that she died but in a way I think it was meant to be, Lulu needed to stand on her own two feet, the ball room community learned that family comes first no matter what and many other personal character lessons learned from Candy's experience. She will live on forever
@@_alanawalker when she reads the clam chowder lady Lulu says "Im surprised you didn't do your signature move" and Elektra briefly tries to get the lady to come back is the kind of chaotic energy I respect more than anything lmao
The Candy's death episode was devastating... The scene of her entering the eternal ballroom of her life, finally being in the spotlight she deserved, is everything!
Greg Marquez It absolutely was, I believe the quote at the end of the episode was from Dorian Corey, who left behind a mummified corpse in her wardrobe when she passed away.
When Elektra says: Come judge for me. Come judge for me. Yeah, come judge for me. Come judge for me. Lulu Ferocity, come judge for me. Come judge for me. Uh-huh, come judge for me. Sinia-ia-ia-ia Ebony. Come judge for me. Uh-huh, come judge for me. Yeah, come judge for me. Uh-huh, come judge for me. The legendary Kiki Pendavis! Come judge for me. Oh, yes, come judge for me. Uh-huh, come judge for me. And our final judge for the evening is the woman who I believe is the rightful winner of Mother of the Year. In the midst of starting her own business, she battled a demon silently, struggling to stay alive to be here for her children, for us all. This woman pushed her daughter to great heights in fashion. She inspired her son to become a businessman. She supported her baby boy, who is now a world-renowned dancer and choreographer. I don't know a better person. I am proud to have her in my life, and to call her my daughter. Our final judge is my heroine, my heart, Blanca Evangelista! Come judge for me. Come judge for me. Yes, come judge for me, daughter. We love you, Blanca! Okay. Enough with the emotions. It's time to judge some bitches.
Talking about funny moments, that moment when Blanca makes Elektra apply for a host job at the restaurant and she said "I cant operate a calculator" and Blanca replies, "Bitch they aint asking you to be a mathematician" 🤣😂😆
I’m sorry, but I cringed every time you compared this show to Ru Paul’s Drag Race... Drag does not equal trans... two totally different things. Drag is a form of performance art and being a trans person is an existence.
I think you're stretching way too hard on this. The drag aspect she's refering to is the whole ball, and costumes, and lipsyncs, the lingo, etc... Which no one can deny, became popular because of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Rob Brooks rupaul rakes a lot of queues from the ballroom community. Paris is Burning is one of the most influential parts of the format of the show, so comparisons are only natural.
I have to disagree with #3 Candy’s Never Knew Love Like This Before funeral performance WAS THEE BEST MOMENT of the series so far! It was simply ICONIC
I thought that final ball of season 1 should be there when PRay Tell makes all people "pose, pose, pose, pose"... And Elektra's "come judge for me" has potential to be a hit!
I've tried to analyze why Elektra's "Come judge for me. Come judge for me" was so haunting for me, but I've given up. It was simply a brilliant moment in a brilliant show, delivered by a brilliant actress.
Yes, Right on point!!! I pose with them as well because it was exciting & fun, yet informative American history among all sexual orientations of people to learn about. 👫👬👭👯
The entirety of episode 9 in season 2 is most memorable to me. It was a rare moment to see sisters from different houses getting along and simply enjoying life. After all that's happened, the girls were able to have a pleasant worry-free break, in a beach house no less.

The family/"House" dynamic is absolutely amazing. To have love, acceptance, recognition and appreciation should automatically be a given. I didnt know my entire being has been influenced by the generation and community from the 80s/90s. I want to say thank them so so so much! I will continue to do my part to have your voice heard properly. Oh and slay as much as I can!!!🙏💕💕💕😥💐

This show help me so much. You know, life in the country with the most moeslem in the world is harder than it looks. Bullied, molested, mocked is a certain cost for being part of the LGBT community in this country. But, like I said the pose is really helped me to get where I am today I really thankful for my life today. Every time I watch the show I cry my emotion are out and I just got the feeling that I was accepted you people are accepting me I feel loved, it's indescribable. For those who are unfortunate enough to being discriminated for being Who You Are I just need to tell you that you are not alone you are loved find yourself be yourself and just Embrace who you are fine someone or group that accept who you are and stay true to who you are. thank you Miss Mojo❤ love from🇮🇩.
You are right on point , sister woman!! Many think this show just came out of some writers creative conscious. I was a youngster when this documentary hit. You wouldn't believe the bigotry that came forth from the White Queers.
When candy sadly passed. I cried as if my bestfriend died, the ugly cry with tears everywhere. When her dad spoke to her "I'm just getting to know you" That broke my heart 😭
#8 made me so emotional it just reminded me of the Freddie Mercury story and the stories that Jenifer Lewis told about her gay friends dying of AIDS/HIV. We lost so many beautiful people back then.
This show was iconic, to say the least. It had so many heartfelt moments, funny moments, happy and sad moments. I wish it was longer. But for what it was, it was amazing. I learned so much about history and the LGBT+ community. I'm not particularly a supporter of the community but I would never treat anyone with the violence and judgment that was prevalent in the 80s and 90s. Heck even to this day, that judgment and mistreatment still exists. But yeah I really felt for the characters in this show. This was so well put together. I loved it ❤️
Pose is just the most magical and heart-nurturing show. Everybody should be educated by its principles. I just hope it will end after many, many seasons.
Candies Farewell performance was the #1 scene for me. The way they went from the funeral into the ball room was Iconic. I was filled with so many emotions all at once. Can't believe this is the last Season. They always do our shows like this i.e. Noahs Arc
Goodness, Papi is my favorite character. He proved himself, (and me, since I agreed with him) correct about him being a prize. When I heard him say it the first time, I burst into tears and cried allowed "YES, YOU ARE!" Most every action after those words proved he was, indeed, a prize. He made me feel happy for Angel. She had someone who truly loved and valued her. He worked to make her feel loved, important, safe, and happy. This character is an absolute heartthrob. He kept constantly raising the bar, and singing instead of reciting vows shattered that bar for me. All the characters were well written, but HE was such a sweetheart!
Can we stop referencing RuPaul's Drag Race with Pose. Drag as it is represented in RPDR has nothing to do with Pose and Ballroom, RPDR is not a representation of Ballroom at all, and drag doesn't have such a big presence in Ballroom anymore. I literally cringed when she made an analogy between the museum robbery, oceans 8 and RPDR, twice!
Yessssss! 👏👏 God, I love this show so much! I cannot wait for season 3! Mother Elektra ❤️ I want to also add that the moment between Candy and her parents was just such a powerful moment to me. I cried so hard and had to take a moment to cry and get myself together. This show is such a game changer and I am living for it!
Dont come for me cause honestly, the show has an amazing storyline and I enjoyed it. But I was saddened by the subtle colorism. Yet again the darkskin femme's on the forefront are the bitter angry ones (Candy and Electra), and the lighter skinned on the forefront ( Blanca and Angel) are more soft and kind. It doesnt hurt changing the narrative every now and then.
idk why but Elektra just staring at the closet trying to use fans to cover the smell and even putting CAR FRESHENER in their and saying it’s candles 😭 i was dyinggg
this show sure has a lot of iconic moments but Candy`s send off is just out of this world. Made me cry like a son of a butch. TBH i think its one of the best moments on TV altogether.
Man, I've never cried as much as I did on the episode where Candy is murdered. Such a heartbreaking and heartwarming feeling at the same time. Angelica Ross deserves an Emmy for her performance.

Noahs Arc
Please don't compare Ballroom to RuPaul Drag Race but other than that I love this 💕💕
Electra is my spirit animal PERIOD!!
One of my top ten Pose 'runway' moments: Electra vs Blanca, 'The Boss'.
Goodness, Papi is my favorite character. He proved himself, (and me, since I agreed with him) correct about him being a prize. When I heard him say it the first time, I burst into tears and cried allowed "YES, YOU ARE!"
Most every action after those words proved he was, indeed, a prize.
My Grandma is SCARED of Elektra because of her facial expressions when she talks😭 it’s so funny lmao
Candy's final bow was my favorite & had me in tears the ENTIRE episode.
Omg the conversation with her dad 😭😭😭😭
Candy's death had me in tears especially the ballroom performance. ❣️
This show deserves more emmy awards
Why I'm crying all over again seeing these scenes 😭
I'M CRYING! !!! THANK YOU!!!
Yessssss! 👏👏 God, I love this show so much! I cannot wait for season 3! Mother Elektra ❤️
I want to also add that the moment between Candy and her parents was just such a powerful moment to me. I cried so hard and had to take a moment to cry and get myself together. This show is such a game changer and I am living for it!
This series is a jewel. Moved me so much. So pure about love and acceptance.
Mother Elektra is just I-C-O-N-I-C and LEG-ENDARY!
Best show ever on tv can’t wait for season 3
Elektra stands among the MOST ICONIC characters ever❤️✨
Damon's dance felt like I was watching my own fight for freedom, I loved it.
Correction: These are Trans Women and comparing the royal category scene to “oceans 11 meets Ru Paul’s drag race” is offensive.
Oh, please shut up it’s not that bad
I thought that the similarity they where talking about was that they where both based roughly on true stories
But you can be trans yet do drag.
Obligatory "this is an example of when wokeness takes a weird turn" girl, you can be a trans woman and STILL do drag you know?
Dont come for me cause honestly, the show has an amazing storyline and I enjoyed it. But I was saddened by the subtle colorism. Yet again the darkskin femme's on the forefront are the bitter angry ones (Candy and Electra), and the lighter skinned on the forefront ( Blanca and Angel) are more soft and kind. It doesnt hurt changing the narrative every now and then.
Amen
idk why but Elektra just staring at the closet trying to use fans to cover the smell and even putting CAR FRESHENER in their and saying it’s candles 😭 i was dyinggg
For a very long time Sherlock was my favorite TV show. Now it's Pose. I cry just thinking about how masterful it is.
Pose is really a powerful show.
Lil Papi is the reason why I no longer believe any man will ever be good enough for me.
this show sure has a lot of iconic moments but Candy`s send off is just out of this world.
You are so handsome
candy's farewell is the best episode PERIOD. I cried so much. Is such a great performance
We NEED nay DEMAND a second top ten list there’s so many moments left out. Like Candy grabbing the hammer and even the dead guy.
I sobbed through so many of these episodes. It's so raw and real and important. Just magnificent. I was a wreck from start to finish on season 3. 😊❤
OMG!!! Thank you! Thank you! I love this show! ❤️❤️❤️
