I loved this show, although many of the jokes are specific for the time and don't carry very well to this times. It was popular enough to carry special guest stars like Minnie Driver (my favorite), John Cleese, Madonna, Britney Spears, some of them playing themselves, like Kevin Bacon and Jennifer Lopez.
For a non HBO, it was very risqué at the time.
It was a great show. Karen, plus Karen and Jack made the show for me.

Karen is awesome in this show. Not just because she is sex positive and down for anything, but also because she acts like she doesn't give a damn about much of anything, but deep inside, she does care for her friends (including Rosario and her frenemy Beverly Leslie. May they both rest in peace). That dinner scene with Diane was a gift that kept on giving. So much hilarity and everyone executing their character's performances perfectly.
I miss them both great actors
She and Leslie are hysterical together. He had started the sweetest Instagram account during Covid. I adored him. He talked about growing up. I guess in the small southern town his father was appalled that “This” was his son. He was a kind and gentle soul.

After the failure of the Joey spin-off with Matt Le Blanc the producers of Will & Grace got scared with what they had envisioned with Karen and Jack.
The sequel seasons were great, but my biggest beef with them is how they just decided to retcon Karen’s bisexuality for some obscure reason? I just never understood the goal there, it could have been so much more interesting to explore her having relationships with women

@@lisak8492 I think they were trying to stay authentic to the character. Have you ever dated an older bi person who's just peeking their head out of the bi closet? This is exactly how they behave. Also, to be fair, there are people who are straight and try having a relationship with the same sex as an experiment (even later in life). Sexuality is fluid. I don't think this was politically motivated at all.
I loved the series, it was amazing! Karen was one of a kind and phenomenal writing for the shows.
Clearly the people who came up with "Karen" as an insult never watched this Karen.

I watched this show on DVD with my parents when I was little, like 12 years old if not less. I understood I am bi at 18. I always loved the show but Karen was my favorite and still is. Now I can see why haha and I want and need to rewatch the show, it is like watching it with whole other new eyes

@@savetheplanet2563Yes as a bi, I get this but it certainly doesn’t help when you have people pretending to be gay which adds to the perception that you can turn it on or off like a light switch. When I was in college, I used to hate seeing straight women kiss each other for attention especially, from men. It was mainly done by sororities and party girls because it was “fun.” It’s offensive to see some straight people, mainly women, mock and invalidate same sex couples in this manner.

Will and Grace first aired when I was 8 and I would religiously tune in. To say that I have been hopelessly and tirelessly searching for my "Karen and Jack" for the past 🤧*xjvqkri*🤧 years, would be a collasal understatement. Even to this day, I find myself, on rare occasion, wishing on a knock on the roof, graveyard drive-by, that someday I will be lucky enough to find friends like those gems.🤞
