  • Im sorry for not posting sooner, specially in these times were youtube is alot of peoples best friends.
And I hope your all doing good in these crazy times!
Doing the lock change, fixing up the handlebars, first start and more.
This one took me forever to edit, as there were so much fotage to go trough.
As you will see, some of this were supposed to be on previous episodes, but were cut out, trying to keep my videos around 10 min. Not my best work, but this should be the last episode with the poor quality video. i felt i just had to get it out of the way.
How ever, I do hope you find this interesting, as binding part of this BMW's route to a new life!

Have enjoyed watching the process of bringing this bike back to life, good skills. I would have preferred less music and more explanations of the different process.

Im really enjoying your videos so far! I just bought practically the exact same bike as yours in black a couple weeks ago and you're giving me some great ideas! I've got a small tear i the seat, so if you are reupholstering the seat next episode, please let us know where you bought your material/cover! Awesome work!

Thank you, I appreciate that! Sounds nice, I had some issues sourcing a few of the parts, but I found a store in UK I think. That has loads of parts for GS models, I can't remember the name of the store right now. But I can find out, if you need to get any replacement parts etc.
For the seat I used Ebay, and bought a cover from Tappezzeria Italy.
It seems to be good quality and has a nice design! Then I used a local hardware store for stapler and stainless steel staples.
But if you want a cheaper fix, then coulorlock have great products for repairs on leather and vinyl.

very nice work, mate...i've also to deal with switches on my r80g/s...your results were really satisfying

Yeah, thats why it is an chronological Frankenstein 😅 the bike were started before last episode, but I had so many parts cut away from previous episodes, to keep the length of the videos down 😅 next one is almost done, and then I'm all back on track, just moving forward!
      Thank you!
I must say, when I started to buff down the "hairs" of oxidated plastic, I were not sure it would look good afterwards! But hey, it worked! Gyeon Trim is also really good at what it does!

@@pristineprojects4881 thank you for tips. Also, i forgot to mention the awesome job on the front rim...looka new! On my bike spokes were in nice conditions when I bought it some months ago (even for a 25 years old bike) but, probably, salt on the streets rusted the spokes very quickly and now it's a big deal to clean them. In any case you deserved my subscription! Cheers from Italy

@@loris199 Thanks, that rim took me for ever to clean up 😅 if I were to keep the bike I would rather buy new spokes, as they will start to rust again. Once the protective layer is of, they are pretty much trash when it comes to looks. But giving them some protection like wax/sealer will help!

Correct me if I m wrong but i can hear some ratling noise. Please check if the sound will change when you push the clutch

    • @pristineprojects4881
      @pristineprojects4881  4 ปีที่แล้ว

There was alot of lose parts on the bike when I started it, so there are probably alot of noises that shouldn't be there 😅 been away from the bike for almost 3 months now, I should get back soon, and do a test run with it, check that everything works as it should!
