I've been Vegan for going on 3 months. I was on the fence only bc I was a little worried about the food options. Shakayla's videos helped me really see that being Vegan & enjoying some great food was a reality. I also really love that her positivity & her genuineness as a person really comes through. 😊
I tried the pancake recipe back when you first posted it and 🤯it's a go-to breakfast for me. So good! I even premeasure the dry ingredients the night before so all I have to do in the morning is add the milk and cook. Definitely trying this scramble too😋

In the past couple of months, I've gotten back to cooking plant-based meals from scratch. So I love seeing your videos. Love the focus on high protein. Myself & my husband are trying to get the right protein combinations and high enough and I am "eating up" all the knowledge about this plant-based & vegan stuff. We have not been deprived at all. Coming up on a year anniversary of eating this way. Never looking back! :) Thank you ALSO for the tips & tricks like with the refried beans.

So I appreciate these protein videos. I eat too much faux meats so I am looking for ways to increase protein more naturally, but I am also a short person who can only eat a certain amount of calories for fat loss without losing muscle, but gaining the muscle so the amount of protein naturally is challenging. Those pancakes look amazing. I make pancakes using wheat pastry flour and wheat gluten for extra Protein and you don’t get that protein powder taste they just taste like a normal pancake. But the wheat pastry flour is not as dense as regular wheat flour so you still get the fluffiness

Shakayla, as many times as I have seen you make tofu scramble, I have yet to try it, lol. But this is getting me closer! I do eat tofu and love it but tend to like it only crispy or crispy and then in a sauce. I think I'm afraid it will seem like mushy tofu, but need to try it and get over my "fear". As always, love your videos!

Hello, I'm new to being a vegan. July 1 of this year. I'm actually still on the fence about it. I'm trying it out due to digestive issues. Anyway, a lot of things are overwhelming to me when it comes to vegan foods. I have a lot of things in my online grocery cart, but when I think of what meal it goes with or what I need it for that all goes out the window so I have bought none of it. I'm still trying to grasp the fundamentals of vegan as like I said, its not a full switch for me since I'm just seeing what works well for my stomach. The hash looks absolutely amazing, however, the nutritional yeast is unappetizing to me. It smells weird and taste worst. There was a guy who said just add it to broccoli for a "cheesy broccoli." It was horrible. Does it get better or does it actually just taste bad? This is an older video so you may not see this but I do enjoy watching your videos and recipes, and hopefully one day I won't be so overwhelmed with everything and can try one.

Please try unbleached flour unbleached pastry flour add quinoa or teff amaranth Flour. Instead of wheat flour.

Are you pressing out the water from the tofu? Is that needed since scramble? I'm new to this.
Hi!! No, no need to press the water out the tofu when making a scramble because it will cook out in the skillet.

coconut milk is high in fat.
Yes! Coconut milk should work. I’d recommend using the kind that comes in a carton vs a can because the can tends to be thicker.

Hello, I'm new to being a vegan. July 1 of this year. I'm actually still on the fence about it. I'm trying it out due to digestive issues. Anyway, a lot of things are overwhelming to me when it comes to vegan foods. I have a lot of things in my online grocery cart, but when I think of what meal it goes with or what I need it for that all goes out the window so I have bought none of it. I'm still trying to grasp the fundamentals of vegan as like I said, its not a full switch for me since I'm just seeing what works well for my stomach. The hash looks absolutely amazing, however, the nutritional yeast is unappetizing to me. It smells weird and taste worst. There was a guy who said just add it to broccoli for a "cheesy broccoli." It was horrible. Does it get better or does it actually just taste bad? This is an older video so you may not see this but I do enjoy watching your videos and recipes, and hopefully one day I won't be so overwhelmed with everything and can try one.
Would the pancakes work with a gluten free flour?
I haven't tried them with gluten free flour just yet but I'll try it out and report back!
