I love that even though you went out of your way to make sure that these recipes were high protein, that isn’t the only thing here! The focus is really on the quality of the ingredients and the flavor they bring. It’s so refreshing to have high protein recipes that are more about the dish you are going to taste vs how high you can make a protein amount in every serving. Also love that you provide the nutritional info in a separate post and don’t say the specific numbers in the video…so much more enjoyable to watch!

the chipotle bean spread reminded me, for a sweet alternative there's this japanese bean paste called anko, which is usually made from azuki (but cannellini or black bean also work well!) mixed with sugar. it's great on toast (but might have a bit of a dry mouthfeel, so in that case layer with vegan butter!) or in traditional japanese sweets like mochi :)

It's like you read my mind! These look great, especially that riff on the avocado toast. Thanks, as always, PUL! You guys rock!
I have been following only for about a year now. I am amazed at how much information you share in each of your video. Also your positive vibe which just takes the whole thing to another level. I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything that you do.
Great video, thank you ! I would be interested to see more season based recipes. Most of us are pretty uneducated about seasonal vegetables (since most are around all year, we don't really care anymore if we buy strawberries and tomatoes and eggplant in winter...), plus I found it's very difficult to be inventive without adding vegetables that are out of season... (especially in winter, unless you like soup)
One of the best ways to learn is to garden - I knew very little about seasonality until two years ago when I signed up for a community garden plot! I also signed up for a CSA box which is a less intensive way to learn, haha. We get a box of veggies right from the farm, harvested within a day or two of receiving it. It comes along with a little newsletter about what's in it. I do buy stuff that's out of season in the winter, but I try to rely more on frozen, canned, and storage veggies (e.g. potatoes, onions, squash) that was harvested in season! That way they taste a lot better. I don't find myself missing the freshness very much because it's so cold and I have no desire to eat raw veggies when I could instead eat them warm and cooked
@@harmonicaveronica, Yep, when you live in a colder climate like Canada (or the Netherlands), eating seasonally is not feasible all year outside of frozen vegetables and neither is gardening in winter. But in the warmer months, it’s something to strive for.

That is actually a studio kitchen! Real life kitchens tend to only look that good if people never cook in them, because practically demands having quite a lot of stuff out on the counter and not letting plants take up very much space. Still, it's beautiful and I can only dream of having something half that gorgeous in my home!
Y’all have one of the best channels on the planet. I do not follow a vegan lifestyle but man do you guys make some bomb food. Just such a high quality channel from high quality folks!
Recipe 2 on here looked great! I can't be the only person who can't stand tofu. I made a vegan quiche many years back using a recipe from a vegan blogger, whose recipes I absolutely love. I decided to give tofu a chance. I made a beautiful quiche, took one bite, almost vomited, and trashed the entire thing. There's got to be a better way to get a lot more vegan recipes than always using tofu.
A lot of people will say that tofu is bland and will take on any flavor, but I've always found that to be inaccurate. Tofu has a pretty neutral flavor in my opinion, but that flavor is strong. And if you happen to not like it, you're going to taste it even more strongly in any dish it's in! In dishes like a stir fry where tofu would be in solid pieces, I often find tempeh to be a good substitute. It's still made of soy but has a very different flavor and texture to tofu - it's a little bitter before it's properly cooked, but when it's fried or baked so it browns it has a very lovely nutty flavor and it looses the bitterness. I like it better than tofu personally, but I do still like tofu. Alternatively, chickpeas are excellent because they're a little firmer than other beans and tend to hold their shape, especially if you cook them yourself from dry instead of buying canned. When it comes to a puree, any well-cooked bean could do in a savory context, but any kind of white beans are going to provide the closest color match
You had me with the pancakes 😂💜 I’m a pescatarian trying to become a vegan. I’ve been using fish to get protein for a few years but I’m ready to take my health to the next level so this is the perfect video for me!

I’m glad I found your channel. Everything looks delicious and I’m so intrigued to try some of these recipes. I’ve been working out as well so the protein recipes looks absolutely amazing to try!
I made today the quish; I loved it! And my husband, not really into plant-based loved it too! Next time I will put more tomatoes; this addition is truly genius...the flavor that you experience when you bite on them is....really good!
The bloopers make it so fun to watch! Are you planning to write a book? Or have you published one already? I love the pdfs but a book would be easier :)
I just want to say thank you for your videos. Even though I'm not a vegan I draw inspiration from your recipes. They're well thought out, beautiful and look delicious.
I love your channel and I’ve gotten lots of inspiration as a new vegan. One thing I’ve noted and find rather unusual is that you do not consume the green part of the leek. That is also edible and used in some of the most savoury meals. We use the white bulbous part for soups and the green part as a condiment in many other meals. If we had to throw away a part of the leek it would generally be the white part which doesn’t have much flavour when compared to the green. Maybe you’d like to give it a try? 🤷🏻♀️ Just something interesting I thought I would share.
When I was young, cutting onions was so painful. An old Russian woman taught me to put a large piece of bread in my mouth while cutting to stop the fumes from causing the tears. It worked!
Thanks for these recipes. I made the pancakes this morning. Super delicious, hearty and filling. I did have to add a fair bit more liquid and in the end switched to my waffle maker so they would cook through properly due to the density of the batter. They make FANTASTIC waffles! Love PUL!
I had the same trouble- way too thick to spread in a pan. I was worried about over mixing as I added more liquid and eventually just spread the batter out in a sheet to bake it. I did eat the first couple from the pan and they were hearty!
Honestly, seeing you cry from chopping onions is very reassuring 😅 It often seems like the pros can chop onions all day long without a single tear and it always makes me feel like a total wuss 🤣 I literally have to sit down and rest for 15 minutes afterwards. Thank you for being so open.
You are such an inspiration to me! After decades of battling an eating disorder you give me the confidence to try things and so far with success. Thank you for that.
I recently came across an amazing tip for tear free onion prep. place a wet paper towel on the cutting board while chopping onions and no more tears! Highly recommend!! :)

I LOVE your videos. I’m obsessed with vegan protein pancakes too. For the pancakes, i love to top them with peanut butter (sometimes mixed with water and PB2 for extra protein) then i microwave some frozen fruit in a bowl and it softens the fruit and produces some liquid. I top my pancakes with this as a replacement for syrup. It is so so tasty. I’ve also put chia seeds in the microwaved fruit before and it creates a jam.
I’m not vegan, I’m not even vegetarian and yet I loveeee to watch your videos and always want to try the recipes. When I was working, I made the green pasta from one of your “affordable meals” video and it was very good.

I love pancakes so much! This recipe is divine!!
Love much your recipes and your videos, so much fun the last takes! thank you girl
Just something interesting I thought I would share.
I’m eating these pancakes right now! Total success. THANK YOU!
When I was young, cutting onions was so painful. An old Russian woman taught me to put a large piece of bread in my mouth while cutting to stop the fumes from causing the tears. It worked!
Hey, just a quick tip, if you peel and freeze your onion for roughly 30 min it should help with the eye watering =)
oh that ring shot with the lemon squeeze!
Was feeling kinda low, then u posted this and now I'm all smiles
I'm so happy you have new videos! Love em. please keep them coming :D
Yay! A notification from PUL lights up my day! ✨🌻
Great video! I'd love to try the Chipotle Avocado Toast. Love the bloopers.
The twins dad is a Spanish speaker and he wanted something like this to educate himself on how to feed the twins when, they’re with him.
Love how the strawberry on the pancakes has a little heart in the middle. ♥
Honestly, seeing you cry from chopping onions is very reassuring 😅 It often seems like the pros can chop onions all day long without a single tear and it always makes me feel like a total wuss 🤣 I literally have to sit down and rest for 15 minutes afterwards. Thank you for being so open.
I just made the pancakes last week for my family and they LOVED them. Big hit! 😊
You are a magician! And you make magic in the kitchen, Mrs. Pickuplimes!! 😁😁
Happy early birthday to the amazing youtuber and person! Love u Sadia 💓
Oh wow, you have great memory! Either that or perhaps yours is also coming up soon? 😉🥳
@@PickUpLimes thank you but mine's is in October so.. I think it's just my great memory then 😂
The avocado toast recipe was soooooo good!
My husband loves eggs but they haven't been agreeing with him so I definitely want to try out the quiche recipe & thanks for the black salt tip!
The pancakes look yummy! Oh, btw, get yourself some eye goggles for cutting onions - especially if you bulk cut them and freeze them… game changer!!
Your kitchen garden has growwnnnn🥰
That tofu taart looks pretty amazing and adding tomatoes on top of it like a pizza is desirably tempting to my taste. Thanks Sadia!
I just recently found this channel. I am very impressed by this channel! It's like I have found a treasure! 😍

Hello from Indonesia ☺
I really Love your videos , I love cooking and starting to be a vegetarian now , and Thank you for sharing the recipes.
thats really yummy and healthy ,I will try every recipes in daily life for my little family .
I love everything make and it’s awesome how you incorporate your nutritional wisdom into your videos 😊 is there any chance you could do a video or recommend high protein meals that don’t include soy as it’s an allergy? X
Agreed! I can't have soy and it's frustrating to try to find high protein vegan recipes that don't include it.
Same! Also sensitive to gluten so would be nice to see some more without bread 😶
My first time of finding you, yes kindly you fir these great breakfasts xx
Love the bloopers at the end!
Your videos are therapeutic ❤️❤️
Every time I watch a PUL episode I am convinced you are a vegan superhero.
I’m not vegan, I’m not even vegetarian and yet I loveeee to watch your videos and always want to try the recipes. When I was working, I made the green pasta from one of your “affordable meals” video and it was very good.
I made the avo toast tonight for dinner (because yeah I couldn’t wait till breakfast!!) and it was fantastic!!
