I love it when people spend YEARS trying to track something down and it eventually gets found by some random dude who went "oh I kinda like that" and Googled it slightly differently.
Nearly happened with the Filthy Franke Kenya song
Reminds me of finding an old nature puzzle game recently. I couldn't find the damn thing because I kept searching for plants, bamboo, etc and absolutely NOTHING would come up, but as soon as I thought up the word "vine", BOOM instant result. If AI is ever used for anything, I hope it's for googling similar words to what you google, just in case you can't think of those words yourself lol
@@Freak80MC That would unironically be a great use for AI. Search engine optimization. Sometimes I want to search for something and can't really come up with the right query for what I want.
I've solved a lot of my friends lost media cases or old forgotten memories because I'm just so good at finding random shit on Google when someone just unprompted asks me. I get borderline obsessed ngl
I still haven't found this lamp girl scouts prize for a friend and it's been driving me crazy for years 😭
Unfortunately, I'm not good at doing it for myself since it's usually something I have such little memory of (ie: finding a childhood shareware game I played on my win 95 in 2001)
@@benamisai-kham5892 Vague 90s/2000s shareware memories suck. They could be almost anything. And even if you remembered the name, there's no guarantee it's even recorded on the internet. It might be some random game made by a local dev with only a few floppy disks ever made.
It sounds like the kind of song you'd hear playing over the opening/end credits of a straight to DVD movie.
Nice Daria pfp
Ah yes. It gives that straight to DVD vibes.
I've seen that one newer comment that It was actually sung by a artist name Joy Em
Edit: I didn't even finish the vid😔
It reminds me of the music that was in the old PS2 game, Road Trip. Just the vibes and the instruments. Very early 2000s, basically lol
What's really funny to me is how everyone just ignores the fact that a song like Sexy Lady is extremely off-brand for MJ
I mean he did a song called "Sex Life" that's sitting around in a vault somewhere so.
Not really. The albums “Dangerous, HIStory, and Blood On The Dance Floor” were a lot more edgy and had more provocative lyrics and topics. So it’s not off brand
@@keithtweedie8753how original

and he never even got to do it because he died while rehearsing for it.
Going even deeper into it’s context the song was an old song that he and Paul Anka did back in the 80s, my assumption is that he reuse the title for the tour in 09.

Also Sony has a vault of unreleased/ unfinished Michael Jackson music nobody has heard in decades
So what will have to happen in order for it to be released?genuinely speaking everyone should be able to hear it
@@Delsin42 Their philosophy is to drip feed releases so Michael's legacy has longevity. Although considering Michael would make around 200 songs for each album they're taking the very very slow approach. Given that an MJ biopic is in the works they'll likely start releasing a lot more tracks once it's out to ride the hype.
@@VinVonVoom I need that Chicago 1945 released officially.
I was thinking the same thing.
@@VinVonVoom 200 hundred songs? Not 20?
i could tell right away that this isn’t a Michael Jackson song; his iconic voice is unmistakable to me, having been a huge fan since childhood. the song feels off, like someone trying to mimic MJ but falling short. it’s strange and unfamiliar, lacking the essence of MJ’s style and lyrics.
I’m a fan, but far from a huge fan, and can tell it’s not him. To me it sounds nothing like him.
The music is too generic

The first thing I thought when I heard the ‘Sexy Lady’ song was that it could potentially be sung by Jason Malachi
My thoughts exactly
Jason Malachi doesn't really sound like MJ or this singer at all. He's great at doing gritty vocals like MJ, but his main vocal is quite different and his vibrato is terrible (often compared to a goat) and was one reason fans suspected almost instantly that he was the vocalist in the Cascio tracks when Breaking News first premiered.
@@anunheardtruth3071 gogus bunger
I was 9 when Michael died
It was all over the news and the first thing I heard was that he "died on the toilet like Elvis"
i was 8, in a restaurant with my grandma (who loved mj) and she SCREAMED because of the news report on tv. i was so confused but knew mj died
They lied to you lol. I was 7 when he died. I was helping my mom clean the tv stand when the news was on. I’ll never forget that day
I went downstairs one morning when I was 5 or 6 and my mom was crying while watching (I'm pretty sure) his funeral on the news. I remember it pretty clearly still.
About the same age, when MJ passed a kid at school told me his nose fell off
i was 7, i was dining at my grandparents house. I was alone in the living room eating and watching the news while they were in the kitchen. I started crying so badly they got scared and then immediately annoyed bc i was like "Michael jackson died" LOL
Yeah that doesn’t sound like Micheal, it doesn’t even sound like the type of music he would sing. Sounds more like a cover band or impersonator, but honestly sounds like a completely different band to me. Grew up listening to so much MJ it’s crazy.
genuine question how do you mistake that shit as a legitimate michael jackson song 😭
Lmfaooo
The beat reminds me of gangsters in paradise
Big MJ fan here, I've got quite the knowledge on MJ's unreleased catalogue.
First, let me get out the way, this is an incredible video! Very informative, it's nice to see a bigger channel covering something as Niche as unreleased MJ.
I will say this though, the rabbithole of unreleased MJ songs is a crazy one. Some songs originally leaked online in really short snippets, before being recorded in seminars, sold at auctions, or like recently, leaked online after one of Michael's old producers literally had his laptop STOLEN by some insane fans. The rabbithole is insane! MJ reportedly had over 200 songs ready for release after he died, from various stages in his career. Unfortunately though, the MJ estate hasn't released any proper new music in a good while, so the fans are REAL desperate!
You'd think they wouldn't mind raking in a few extra mil by releasing those songs in a compilation album or something.
@lainiwakura1776 Exactly! It's honestly so strange how the MJ estate is so hesitant on releasing new music. Recently one of Mike's songs from the "Invincible" sessions leaked, called "Get Your Weight Off Of Me". What's so strange about this is that the song is incredible. Not just for Demo standards, but it's genuinely one of Mike's best songs. (At least, in my opinion, but the common consensus among the MJ community is that the song SHOULD have been put on the album's final tracklist)
So, according to some of Mike's producers and associates, he has WAY more songs in the vault, of this quality as well. The estate wouldn't even have to remix them, (like they did in 2014 for the Xscape album, they remixed all the tracks but also included the original version) but yet they still choose to hide them away. Its honestly so peculiar.
As you might know, there is an MJ biopic releasing next year. Some people working on the film have said there will be an album release alongside the film, and will possibly include new unreleased music. The biopic itself may feature this music as well. This is probably the closest we're gonna get to new music!
I kind of feel bad how he's still so saught after even all these years, and their parents trained the whole dozen (give or take) of their kids to be superstars. Yeah they each started their own solo careers when Jackson 5 and the Jacksons band broke up, but the only other kid that has comparably as devoted fans as Michael's is Janet's. There was a lot of pressure in being "the cute one."
@SheilaDeBonis Oh for sure. For the longest time most of the siblings were simply living in Mike and Janet's shadow. As to be expected, some feuds did form between the siblings. There's a great MJ focused channel here on YT called "The Detail" that has made some great videos detailing these feuds, such as the infamous feud between Michael and Jermaine. Very interesting stuff.
@@superflybrothermj maybe the reason why they won’t release his unofficial music is due to respect for Michael? I mean the man is not here anymore to approve of the estate releasing his music, and a lot of his unreleased music that’s currently hiding in the vaults are probably just a bunch of underdeveloped demos with barely any production/instrumentals , so if the estate were to finish and polish those songs up, add production and instrumentals without his approval it could possibly come off as disrespectful but idk

Haha I was outside the courthouse on the last day of his trial. I saw Germaine and Diane Sawyer interviewing Joe Jackson in a fake library with a fireplace all outdoors 😅

Germaine, Jermaine's evil twin, known for his hit song "Let's Get Wacky"
I live in that town where it was. I was across the street buying a blacklight poster of a frog smoking weed hahaha
When the clip first played I thought "oh maybe it's like the Rockwell song where MJ just did vocals for someone else and ended up overshadowing them" but then the second clip sounds so different from him that I had to question it. Holy damn what a ride this video was.
I was like 7 or 8 when Michael Jackson died and I was so mad because I was looking forward to the possibility of getting to see him perform in my lifetime but also sussed out by the fact that his tour was called "This Is It".
MJ has A LOT of songs that were never released like Get Your Weight Off of Me among others that Sony and his estate continue to hold onto. I could tell right away that the Sexy Lady wasn't sang by MJ, it sounds nothing like an actual MJ song in voice and in beat. MJ's voice is VERY versatile as heard in 2000 Watts in which he sang and spoke in his natural voice. The song sounds more like something that his nephew Jafaar, who sounds a lot like MJ, probably would've sang though obviously he was too young at the time. I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if those three songs on that album are indeed by an impersonator because of MJ's beef with Sony in 2001 that fucked him over and caused him to go broke, it wouldn't be above Sony whatsoever to do something so messed up, especially considering one of the songs literally refers to Michael in a third person which I'd think is a dead giveaway.
Wild just how long it took for the actual singer to get credited, like wow lmao
Get Your Weight Off of Me has been leaked in full, you can find it on youtube now.
Wasn’t 2000 watts just digitally pitched down though?
@@txwtw It was, Privacy isn't though.

It sounds remarkably similar to "The sign" by Ace of Bass, I'm wondering if it's inspired by that
Also a lot like Mysterious Girl by Peter Andre
Joy Em - Em Joy - Em Jay - MJ. You can't fool us 😂
Did people really believe that Sexy Lady song was sang by MJ in 2009????? It sounds nothing like him lol
To be honest, the singer in Sexy Lady doesn't even really sound like Michael Jackson. It's a desperate attempt to sound like him, but you really couldn't fool a diehard MJ fan into believing that was him.
The backing rhythm of the song has a few telltale signs. Back in the mid 90s, the massive popularity of Swedish pop group Ace Of Base, an act associated with 90s Eurodance music, spawned a whole genre comprised of similar sounding beats (oftentimes sampling Ace Of Base drum loops directly) that was known as 90s "Ragga Pop" or "Euro Pop". It was a bubbly mid tempo reggae influenced pop style (though not strictly reggae as a genre) mainly comprised of rap verses usually by a male rapper (sometimes with an accent), and a catchy chorus sung by someone else. Many Eurodance acts like Fun Factory, DJ Bobo, Mr. President, Garcia, Dr. Alban, Vengaboys etc. made this style popular, and they filled their albums with such tracks in between their other uptempo club dance hits. Many of these acts came from Germany, as well as others being from Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, etc., and Eurodance spread and became very huge in Spain, Mexico, and other Latin American countries, including Brazil (!), also spawning new acts in those countries. Additionally, since this music was massive in the clubs, it lent itself to being remixed by DJs constantly, with one single possibly containing over a dozen remixes on it's release. And besides the more famous artists like those mentioned previously, there were many smaller more obscure groups releasing similar sounding music around that time that came a dime a dozen.
So here we have German artist Joy Em releasing Sexy Lady, with a Ragga Pop beat that samples Ace Of Base drum loops, likely released during the mid 90s hey day of Eurodance, and likely trying to capitalize on the Euro Pop craze (or simply emulate a style popular in Germany at the time), and with the Euro style being very popular in Latin America, many many compilation CDs were churned out by record labels (i.e. Musart in Mexico, or Max Music in Spain), along with small obscure independent (or bootleg) labels. Brazilian group Frequência Máxima, run by Dj Maurinho, appears to be an example of one of these labels, as well as being a promotional company for party events, and are still active on Facebook. As Eurodance was (and in some ways still is) very big in Brazil, it's highly likely the song trickled into that country from Europe along with a sea of others. The other songs on Volume 18 (mostly trance, techno, club style tracks) appear to be from around 2002-2003, during which time the Ragga Pop style was still somewhat popular in some areas, although the FM compilations would include the occasional 90s throwback, which could explain how Sexy Lady ended up on it. Interestingly, Sexy Lady features a male rap singer doing the verses on the later 2004 remake, while a female sings during the song's bridge on the original version from the 90s as heard on Frequência Máxima 18.
Personally, despite the strikingly similar voices, I don't feel as though the singer was trying to emulate MJ, but was rather influenced by him. As for wrongfully crediting the song to MJ, that's likely simply down to the Limewire uploader finding similarities between MJ and Joy Em's voices, or their hopes that the mp3 would be downloaded by more people if it could be passed off as an unreleased MJ song. Weird Al Yankovic was miscredited all the time on Limewire by uploaders trying to pass off inferior music parodies by other comedy acts as Weird Al. Either way, I'm happy that Joy Em finally got the recognition he deserves for his song.
I didn't know there were Michael Jackson sightings like there are Big Foot, skinwalkers, etc sightings.
I love it when Brazil shows up in random internet rabbit holes
JOY EM, M J, it's pretty clear he was, at least, inspired by him

17:37 That looks like an old swedish video were they’re trying to be funny 😛 Translated into english he’s saying: ”Out on a lovely hike… Oh shit, Michael Jackson! Damn, he’s moonwalking in the woods! Shit!”
The instrumentation and flow of the song really reminds of Ace of Base for some reason, just an interesting thought, glad the creator of the song was finally found so they could be attributed to it.
Love the mystery of the video, and glad that the song now gets the proper credit it deserves.

Nice of you using Killer7 ost in the background.
Michael Did film and dance with locals in a video in the streets of Brazil! And had to get permission and pay the local drug lords for protection! So it is quite possible that music was recorded while he was there as it was a very inspirational moment in time! But that song has a distinct Caribbean vibe and not at all like Brazilian music!
when i heaed the snippet i was trying to think of what it rly reminded me of and then you mentioned mysterious girl. theres gotta some of the same people involved its too similar
My original theory would have been it was either a demo that had the singer impersonate MJ to help give a better idea of the song or someone either leaked it or bought the song illegally to post online. There’s actually a whole community that is dedicated to doing that kind of stuff which is crazy. However the voice didn’t really sound like MJ and even the song in general didn’t sound like it would be something he would release. I’m glad we know who actually made jt
Wasn't expecting MJ content from here, very neat. Huge fan of him as well!
Lol that song kinda sounds like “The sign” by act of base 😂
For that matter, I am reminded of "Somebody's Watching Me" which in my day was being missatributed to M.J. amongst basically all of my classmates during the time of its release. Even I myself was led to associate it with Michael just as immediately as I would have "Billie Jean". Whereas it's actually, as we all now know, performed by Rockwell (the singer, not the painter).
Wait I thought MJ was sort of associated with the song since didn’t he do the backing vocals?

Yknow I never buy into the theories that a celebrity dies to get away from the line light. If they wanted that they would just step away from the line light. Other celebs have done it before and while the effects arnt immediate they eventually fade away from public eye if that’s what they want. It is more plosives to me that someone would just try to fade into obscurity than it is for them to fake their own death
I mean MJ isn't like other celebrities though, there's nowhere he can go without people freaking out about him. He also did openly think aloud about faking his death to get away from the world a couple times before. He's still definitely dead (he would never leave his children behind like that) but I can see where people are coming from.
@@VinVonVoom I feel like there is no level of fame you can’t step away from if you didn’t want to. Yeah it would maybe take an uncomfortable amount of isolation for a bit but if you really wanted it you could just stop making music and stop making appearances that’s all in a persons control, though they may have to fight for it. It may take a handful of years but eventually that heat would die out. David Bowie did it and yeah he was still Uber famous but he was able to get his little chunk of peace and quiet for a long while. I know that Dave Chapel isn’t really MJ level of fame but he’s another good example of how it can be done
Bro aint there no fucking way. Very interesting video.
It would be nice to discover more of the songs that Michael Jackson produced, but never released. Some songs, like Al Capone, were presented in 2012 and they were excellent. I do hope they will do the same thing that they did for Prince and present more new content from his vault in the years to come.
Thank you for your video.
By the way, anyone who wants to know more information about Michael can consult the podcasts called "Michael Jackson Case for Innocence", "Red Jackson Dance", "The Mjcast", and the documentaries "Square One MJ", "The Lies of Leaving Neverland”, “Michael Jackson Private Home Movies”, “Michael Jackson Take Two The Footage You Were Never Meant to See”, “Michael Jackson The Humanitarian” and “Loving Neverland”. These sources of information are precious and rich in facts that the medias (especially in the UK) refuse to adequately present on him.
I'm glad you've done your research well! MJ is innocent!
As a diehard mj fan for about 8 years now, I can tell you for sure that song didn't sound even remotely MJ-esque at all lmao
I can see how people definitely thought so, many of MJs unreleased songs at times could sound super experimental and "not his style" (Don't be messin' round for example) But even then, this song doesn't fit any of his albums
Bad had it's soft songs but this was clearly something more of the late 90s early 2000s
It couldn't be HIStory because there were much more dramatic songs on that one, not blood on the dance floor since most of those were remixes, and Invinceable was just comepletely different in terms of "2000s sound"
sidenote: I find it absolutely hilarious that the song is introduced with a super scary voiceover and then it's just "I want you to be my sexy lady" lmao
Another song by MJ that isn’t exactly his usual style is the song “If You Don’t Love Me” (I think it was called that?)
