One fan Michael never lost was me. He was an eccentric soul, a tortured person, and made some decisions that were questionable at best, but I don't believe he ever knowingly harmed children. He was fighting his own demons after a childhood that none of us could really understand, but he always tried to help others. As you said, he never abandoned his brothers even after his fame far outgrew theirs, and I truly believe he cared about children because deep inside he was trying to heel his own childhood self.
When you look at the fact that Joe Jackson viewed his children as His source of income and that as a Small child Michael was NEVER Allowed to just be a kid ! There are stages of developmental growth that ALL human children need to experience to be able to socialize and communicate with children their own age so that they know how to interact and fit in with their peers. MICHAEL NEVER GOT TO DO THAT !!! That is UNTIL he was an adult and FAMOUS !! Then he had the time, money and desire to JUST PLAY ! We have essentially been calling Macaulay Calkins a LIAR For Year's because HE'S ALWAYS SWORN that Nothing EVER Happened between him and Michael, I Believe them BOTH !!! As an adult who also missed out on my childhood I Completely can relate to this. Children are born innocent and FULL OF WONDER and Curiosity. To be an Adult who had these types of emotional baggage, the wealth to make kid's happy, I can see anyone in this position doing exactly the same as Michael did. Although our world IS FULL of EVIL , NOT Everyone IS EVIL, There ARE TRULY GOOD PEOPLE LEFT and I think Michael was one of them. IMO anyway. Rest in Peace Michael not everyone thought you were a perv !
Stop saying he was a tortured soul. He was a soul full of love for others. His life was full with helping others. Whether with music or giving his time and monetary. He lived the life as he was taught which was biblical. Be childlike or you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. It’s this world that is tortured not Michael. This world didn’t know what to do with the kindness he showed everyone.. obv it’s a coverup for evil they thought. They treated him horrible.

People still like him in us where song like thriller entered many charts at great places !! You also have the NY year parade and the MJ Musical is winning prizes and has huge success at Broadway and is sold out everyday!
Something about this man. He was exceptionally special. He had a massive effect on so many people over so many generations and over so many demographics it's unreal. What he achieved in the 80s was so high no one still has even got anywhere near. His fame was soooo massive you had Presidents, head of countries, police, journalists, everyone wanting to get near to him and get his autograph
Michael Jackson was many things, an icon, a father, a troubled soul, a humanitarian, an abuser was not one of them. Hopefully one day his legacy won’t be tainted by the greed of others and industry agendas.
As much as I don't want to admit but there is a slight chance he was an abuser but that shouldn't taint his musical legacy regardless. No matter what the numbers speak for themselves with or without the allegations. I'd like to believe Michael was framed for his immense money and power but we'll truly never know the full story of what happened at Neverland
@@novaparadoxx9043 the story becomes clear when you view it in context without bias and tabloid garbage. Learn of how he was raised and his pure intentions. All the good things he did for people, how he put his life on the line to stand up for others.
@@freebandz4332 I know all about Michael all the great things he's done and how he was raised but that still doesn't excuse a 40 year old from sleeping in the same bed with a bunch of kids. Now whether or not he had pure intentions (which I want to believe he did) there is no denying that there are red flags that suggest he wasn't as innocent as people claim. He was either extremely naive or a calculated criminal and there is really no in between. Haven't said that it is still possible to separate the art from the artist. MJ was an amazing artist no doubt, a once in a lifetime talent who can never be replicated, however he was also a troubled soul who may have harmed others and such is life, you can't always get everything you want in life. It's not my role to discredit 40+ years of hard work in show business, I'm simply analyzing the man that was MJ and his personal problems. There are many, many famous people who have done awful things but we still celebrate their art in pop culture. Rightly or wrongly, we as humans are flawed individuals and it'd our mission as souls to heal from our traumas and mistakes in this lifetime or the next, I just hope that wherever Michael is he is healing and correcting his wrongs, because I do believe there was a kind and gentle part of MJ's soul
@@novaparadoxx9043 We can never know for sure because we weren’t there, the “truth” can always change once more evidence is revealed yes, but as of now, it’s looking very much like Jackson was maligned for the greed of others and not any wrongdoing on his part. And with the “sleeping with kids” thing, there’s a lot to look into about that. For one thing, a the children essentially hounded Michael, begging him to let them stay in his quarters for the night, by instruction of their parents. That’s one of the main reasons some people think he was extorted, these parents literally made their children badger him into a vulnerable situation that they could exploit when they felt like it. Michael felt so empathetic to these kids, as most of them were poor or had some sort of disability, and lost their childhood in the same way he felt he did, that he couldn’t say no, he couldn’t disappoint them, even when he was advised to do so. Michael’s room was akin to a duplex, it had multiple stories and bathrooms, kitchenettes, etc. When these children would beg Michael to let them in his room, he’d sleep on a cot on the floor with his security, or would be with multiple of them in his massive bed. Definitely stupid but you can see that he didn’t mean harm, he was trying to make them happy. I think another thing that tied into it is that he grew up doing the same thing, sharing beds with his brothers, uncles and aunts, and even tour managers when they were on the road. I really just think he was trying to hospitable and was sadly extorted for it. He never “invited” anyone into his quarters as they like to say, I think that’s something important to keep in mind, and he never allowed anything without parent’s permission. I believe Macaulay Culkin even said him and his sibling slept on the ground floor while Michael slept on the 2nd. The actual cases are complete jokes, only seen as legitimate by some because of biased reporting. I really don’t think this dude harmed children, but obviously if undeniable evidence came out I wouldn’t turn a blind eye.
A few important things to consider about the child sexual abuse allegations: The evidence from the 1993 allegations, collected over the span of a year, was presented to two California grand juries. Getting indictments from a grand jury is a relatively easy thing to do. As the saying goes, "A grand jury can indict a ham sandwich." The burden of proof is fairly low. All that the evidence needs to show is that it is reasonable to suspect that a crime may have been committed. Yet the evidence from 1993 was not compelling enough to result in a single indictment from either grand jury. This means two separate panels of experienced judges did not find it reasonable to believe that a crime was committed based on the evidence. Michael did not want to settle the 1993 case initially. However, the family of the alleged victim sued Michael Jackson in relation to the allegations, and the civil proceedings were slated to happen before any criminal proceedings. Long story short, this jeopardized Michael's constitutional right to a fair trial and to not incriminate himself in a criminal procedure. Despite Jackson's lawyers petitioning the judge, the dates would not change. Against Michael's wishes, his insurance company settled the civil lawsuit. The settlement did not impact the criminal proceedings in any way. The "Living With Michael Jackson" documentary in 2003 was deceptively edited, and the final film cut out several important clarifications that Michael made about many things, such as his plastic surgery, his personal life, his children, and, most importantly, the allegations. As stated, he was cleared of all fourteen indictments in 2005. The trial featured many witnesses from the prosecution, including the alleged victim and his family, fired staff and maids from Neverland, the 2003 doc interviewer, and many others, including the 1993 alleged victim's mother and sister. Again, the result was a firm "not guilty". This was not just a simple aquittal made in passing by a jury swooned by Michael's star power. It was a resounding vindication, with the jury not being able to find enough evidence for even the misdemeanor alcohol charges, let alone the child molestation charges. This was due to most of the prosecution's witnesses being unreliable, with many of them selling out patently false stories to tabloids. The HBO "Leaving Neverland" film is very apparently one-sided, not even giving a minute to defend Michael Jackson. It is hardly an objective piece, as most of the assertions are hearsay with little to no evidence to back them up. The accusers from that film are currently in a lawsuit with Jackson's companies, claiming that they facilitated abusez so we will see how that goes. Michael's estate is also pursuing a lawsuit against HBO for a breach of contract, but that case is most likely under seal, so we will probably not hear about the outcome of that case. Take these into consideration as you will.
@PrinceSuperSuper Michael Jackson was widely mocked and ridiculed by the American culture at large. If anything, his status would have negatively impacted his chances at a favorable trial outcome. Not to mention the jurors in the 2005 trial said themselves that they forgot Michael Jackson was even in the room most of the time. Michael Jackson's celebrity status absolutely did not influence any verdict.
@@kevinklayer9364 so was OJ Simpson who coincidentally had the same lawyer as Michael. The important factor here is big money to afford the best lawyers not exactly their public standing as celebrities. I mean how else is someone going to get a book with pictures of naked boys dismissed as evidence? A common lawyer would have called it a wrap after seeing that but not a lawyer who gets paid by the millions
I understand that this video was meaning to take a neutral stance on the Child Abuse Allegations, but I heavily urge anyone interested in finding out the truth to do some research because there is PLENTY of evidence that disproves many aspects of the accusers' testimonies. It's too much to really put in one comment but I'll sum it up best I can. Jordan Chandler, the original 1993 accuser, did not accuse any molestation until his father Evan Chandler (whom was divorced from the custody-held mother) extorted a confession out of him after kidnapping him from her and putting him in a dentist chair, feeding him Sodium Amytal, a type of laughing gas that is known to induce false memories under hypnosis. He had been trying to get him to confess for months at this point despite Jordan not once saying anything inappropriate happened. It got so bad that his mother was nearing the point of permanently restraining Jordan from his father, but once he got that confession, she ultimately decided that if Jordan is now saying he was molested, then it probably happened. But did they go to the police? Nope. They went straight to Jackson and demanded I believe $100 Million. When he refused, they went to the media and continued to pressure him into a payday. What does it say about a family whose child was abused that would rather take a hefty price than lock up the man that abused them? After the CIVIL trial was settled (which was a decision pushed by his insurance companies and lawyers because he would have lost a lot more money had he cancelled the rest of his tour to fight the case), the Chandler family refused to follow up with a criminal trial, letting free their supposed monster pedophile to the public, so long as they got paid. And to TOP IT ALL OFF, Jordan Chandler, upon reaching age 18, immediately emancipated himself from his family and there are some unconfirmed claims from credible sources that he admitted he lied. But that isn't to be put on Jordan's head, if true. Evan Chandler was the man that extorted the "confession" from him and used his alleged abuse for capital gain. It's no surprise that only a year after Jackson died, Evan Chandler would commit suicide, though admittedly, it is rather shitty to speculate and assume the reasoning for such suicide, but whatever it was, I'm comfortable saying he deserved it. Then we have Gavin Arvizo, the 2005 accuser, and I really don't even need to get into this one because there is so much to talk about as it was described as "a circus", for how many witnesses the prosecution pulled in that claimed the worst of the worst, and then crumbled under cross examination, things they claimed being immediately disproven, such as Jackson's Ex-Bodyguards and Maids (whom had stolen from Jackson prior and were successfully sued) and other witnesses all claiming they saw 5 boys molested. Three of those boys were Macaulay Culkin, Brett Barnes, and Wade Robson (more on him later). The 4th was Jordan Chandler, who didn't show up to court, and the 5th was a man named Jason Francia, who claimed he was tickled inappropriately. However, he had previously denied any inappropriate behaviour and only recently changed his story after being offered huge paydays from tabloids, as did his mother. But onto Gavin Arvizo, who claimed he and his brother were given alcohol in soda cans, shown pornographic magazines, and that Jackson masturbate him, the brother echoing these claims. Sounds damning, yes? ...The brother crumbled under cross examination and admitted he was lying under oath. That, for most, would be the end of the case... and yet it continued. There was also fabrication of evidence being taken place IN COURT! I shit you not, the prosecution attempted to tamper with state evidence by presenting the "Nude Children Magazine" (which btw was not a pornographic magazine, but rather a coffee table book of art photography that was likely gifted to Jackson by a fan) to Gavin Arvizo out of it's protective sleeve, letting him hold it, and then weeks later, presenting the same magazine to the court, arguing it was the magazine they were shown, and the proof were the FINGERPRINTS HE ONLY JUST PLACED. Also, the magazine's issue date was after the alleged abuse so that was another huge L. They had also brought in Debbie Rowe, Jackson's ex-wife, in hopes she would speak for the prosecution, but instead spoke in defense of Jackson. The trial was scheduled for 6-7 months, but it took only about 4 to complete. Anyone watching the trial knew that this was insanely bogus, and the prosecution had next to nothing for themselves. Oh, and one last thing about those first three boys that were supposedly molested, those were Jackson's first three witness, all claiming they were never touched. Wade Robson and James Safechuck are the last two main accusers with any sort of attention. The former, Wade Robson, you may recall, was a witness for the DEFENSE in 2005, but around 2012, he changed his story and claimed he had been molested at Neverland for a 14 week stretch of time in 1992. His timeline doesn't add up to Jackson's timeline, who was on his Dangerous World Tour at the time and had no 14-week stretch where he was there during the alleged abuse. His story had been changed numerous times in fact, with his reasonings for lying under oath changing from "He didn't know it was abuse at the time" to "He knew but he thought he would get in trouble" to "He was told it was an expression of love" to "He wanted to protect his friend". He had only started coming forward about alleged abuse after his career as a dance choreographer began plummeting. His last stint was to choreograph for the Cirque Du Soleil performance "Michael Jackson: One", but he was rejected from that position. Not too long after, he gave his story to Inside Edition about being molested (while privately asking the Jackson estate for millions in settlement money before even making an actual court case). He also claimed that he was swayed away from dating girls because they were supposed to be together, but that is easily disproved by the fact that Jackson introduced him to his niece Brandi Jackson and subtly got them together. The bulk of his claims were released in the HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, a bit more on that later. James Safechuck on the other hand, echos events and descriptions from the propaganda book Michael Jackson Was My Lover: The Secret Diary Of Jordie Chandler. This is blatant with how much he describes themes of school-like environments and events of "marriages with Michael" that were initially described in the book, by author Victor Gutierrez, relating to Jordan Chandler, the 1993 accuser. He describes being given a medallion of marriage, again, taken from the book where Michael supposedly gave a medallion to Wade, and that they allegedly had a wedding ceremony, but James claims it was himself, not Wade. So....a little about this book. It was promoted as being based of the diary of Jordan Chandler for the purposes of NOT framing Jackson as a Pedophile...but for PROMOTING Jackson as a Pedophile.... You heard right, The Secret Diary Of Jordan Chandler was a PRO-PEDOPHILIA book, and Victor Gutierrez was an open Pedophile, specifically of the propaganda group NAMBLA, which this book had circulated. The Chandler family, however, distanced themselves from this book and denied any relation to any diary or other connections to Jordan Chandler or the Chandler family. The few times he tries to add to his claims, he gets the dates horribly wrong, such as an instance where he claimed he was molested in the room above the Train Station...of which was not built until several years AFTER his alleged abuse, and of which he would have been 16 already, allegedly past his "cut off year" for Jackson. He also claimed he was given items such as the original Indiana Jones bullwhip and the Thriller Jacket, both of which are in fact NOT in his possession, nor were they ever. Both reside in their respective libraries and museums. His claims would also be featured in Leaving Neverland. *inhales* Now we're onto the "documentary" Leaving Neverland, released in 2019. I say "documentary" because it is only one by name. In context, there is ZERO documented evidence presented in the entire 4-hour film. The entire runtime is comprised of Anecdotes, Drone Shots of Neverland Ranch, and completely non-incriminating photos and videos, framed on an eerie backdrop to allude to a darker undertone without actually supplying any. In fact, the few points that the documentary tries to give concrete claims and timeframes, they were so easily disprovable that they were cut out of the overseas edit by nearly an HOUR less than what it was in America. This is largely thanks to the exposing of facts by TH-camr Razorfist as well as Jackson relatives Taj and Brandi, among plenty of other people coming forward to his defense. Razorfists videos on the MJ Allegations are very enlightnening, I'd highly recommend checking them out! Since then, James and Wade once again tried their case in court, and it has once again been dismissed. Leaving Neverland is based on zero ground whatsoever. That outta be the end of my rant. I'm certain there's more to talk about but this is the gist as condensed as I could have put it (I've put it much larger in the past, this is the best I can do to articulate in detail).
Overall, this is a good video but the part about the "nude artbook" is a bit misleading and I see it frequently being posted without much broader context. If I recall, it was gifted by a fan with an inscribed message from them since it was a best seller around the time it was published. The Santa Barbara police department, with assistance from the FBI, completely searched all of his residencies and as many hard drives as possible. These raids only found regular pornography of adults. The prosecution was so desperate for any "evidence" of child pornography (which simply did not exist) that they tried to spin this as such.

All of the rumors and hurtful things media said about Michael are the ultimate price for worldwide stardom. Really sad how most only apologized only after it was too late.
Michael had the world against him with the allegations, yet nothing surfaced against him. He was innocent in every single court case, and you know it's something when the FBI can't find anything on you. What a tortured soul.
I definitely wouldn't say it's as good as MJ's solo catalog. But sometimes I feel what the Jackson 5/Jacksons did as a black family in that period is often under-appreciated. They never managed to duplicate a certain level of success they had in their earlier years of Motown... a one hit here or there, but never successive back to back hits. MJ did that from Thriller to Bad. You could say he also did that from Bad to other albums (outside of the USA).
Fun Facts: Marshall Thompson of the Chi-Lites discovered the Jackson Five, and brought them to Bobby Taylor. Bobby, who was signed to Motown with his group “The Vancouvers”, took them to the label. Jeffrey Daniel of the hit group Shalamar taught Michael how to do the moonwalk. It was confirmed by hit singer Stephanie Mills, who was married to Jeffrey at the time, and dated Michael briefly in the late ‘70’s.
It’s amazing to me how much talent came out of the Midwest. The J5 traveled between Chicago, Detroit and NYC and met many great artists along the way, including James Brown and Jackie Wilson. It’s said that the J5 opened for both at clubs in Chicago. In any case, I wonder what caused so much talent to be located in that corridor. The Motown acts alone were crazy talented

Michael Jackson is my favorite singer entertainer ever he was such a good person and donated so much money to charity has the biggest selling album of all time was a amazing father also his legacy will always live on
The Wiz wasn't a flop in my opinion. Because true supporters really appreciated the film. It was a major Broadway hit. How can the film be a flop It's a film classic. The media got it wrong. They weren't ready to support a dominated film with Black people that's all. So NO!!!! It wasn't a FLOP!!!!
HIStory is my favorite album of all time. Everything from the short films, to the world tour, to the actual music feels *historical*, it's epic and beautiful, often classical. It's the equivalent of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in MJ's discography. Invincible was decades ahead of its time, and it has wonderful and often overlooked ballads, like Butterflies, Whatever Happens and Heaven Can Wait.
I'm an 80's kid but the first MJ album I actually owned was History. I think that disc 2 possesses some of his best work he has every done. "They Don't Really Care About Us" and "Earth Song" are masterpieces in my estimation. I'd put them in my Top 10 MJ songs.

I originally became interested in the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson due to J Dilla sampling them a few times. My favorite example is "All I Do Is Think of You" being used in "Time: The Donut of the Heart"
would love to see a video on Janet Jackson's career, I feel like she's criminally underrated nowadays even though she was arguably BIGGER than Michael during some points of her career. I think a lot of people only know her for the Super Bowl incident today which is really unfair
@@oli27268Hm? Janet initially was bigger overseas than she was in America. In Europe and especially in Asia. If you came up during her “All For You” era than I see why you might think this because that was her last smash album and she didn’t tour Europe for it.
Janet was never bigger than MJ at any point in her career. MJ easily outsold her in the 80s and 90s. She was not even close. She was not even in the top 10 biggest sellers in both decades
@kobcritic624 Janet was never bigger than Michael...at no point in her career, lol; and never outsold him. No musician/ artist has ever had the fame of MJ. Even during the allegations and trial, he was still outselling her and everyone else and still more famous in the USA and worldwide.
The bigger the star the bigger the target. Michael may have made some bad decisions but that doesn’t make you a criminal. Committing a crime makes you a criminal. That, he was not. He was too trusting, too naive but also too stubborn to change his ways. He will forever be unfairly tarnished with that brush because of people’s greed and love of money. MJ will always be King of Pop.
Morbid, but death always brings a huge wind of interest for an artist. Michael Jackson's death brought about a huge amount of new interest that I have yet to see. I remember trying to find a CD as a kid with my mom and we just couldn't find a single album. It was nuts.
I definitely agree with that, I’ve seen the same thing happened with Nipsey Hussle, Tupac, and Biggie in the days, weeks, months, and years after their death.
That ending shot was great😆 Great video all around too! As a big Jackson fan, this was a really good run down of his life, or I guess you could say HIStory.
Michael Jackson was the very first music artist i got into back in 1982, i was 11 years old. When i got into junior High I got into Bon Jovi and ever since then i been a metalhead. but if it wasn't for Michael Jackson i wouldn't of find my love for music. Ty Muchael..R.I.P.
To elaborate on the "sharing a bed with him" thing, it was actually very poorly worded. MJ's room was big af and had 2 king sized beds, he gave his own room to the parents and their kids so they all slept in his room's beds while MJ himself slept in the guest room of his own home. Edit: And it seems to me that the parents decided to attempt to capitalize off his poorly worded statement. Many of the kids I recall came forward and admitted their parents made them lie, many people were confirmed they were threatened and coerced into accusing him, and this is purely from memory but I recall one of the parents had killed themselves over guilt after MJ died and the kid came forward after to say that that parent had told him to lie. You'll see people claim the fbi didnt investigate him or did nothing at all despite there being 400 pages of their investigation, the fact that they tried so hard to get him locked up that they tried to use his own family photos, his childhood photos and playboy magazines. Not to mention the fbi has a track record when it comes to influential black men. They tried to break him down in any way possible and in the end resorted to finally k1ll1ng him like all other influential black people.
Honestly even though he has been pretty much one of the greatest musicians of all time, there is much I didn’t even know before watching this video. This gets a 10/10 from me (P.S: Please do a History About Weird Al Yankovic)
Before a lifetime of listening to rock and metal, the first cassette I had for my walkman was "off the wall" and the first vinyl I bought was "thriller". Year's later, his movie was the last film I saw in the theater with my dad before he passed away in a car accident after my daughter's birthday party. I think I'm going to pour a nice drink and go on a Michael Jackson video binge.
Just want to say first and foremost, I'm a big fan of you, Mr. Beat, but I think there's some bits here that are either mischaracterized or simply inaccurate. I understand this is a summary and can't include every little tid-bit but there's some important context to some of these that warranted something. 13:20 I think it's worth noting that during Michael's biopsy in 1993 and his autopsy in 2009 they found that the vast majority of surgeries he had were not cosmetic but reconstructive due to him suffering from Lupus. In fact, his autopsy indicates he had only had two nose jobs his entire life (I know it sounds crazy, I was surprised too). 20:07 It's not just "likely" he used creams. He _did_ use prescription Benoquin cream to even out his skin tone. It was found in his house after his death. 24:33 Bruce Swedian is pronounced Bruce Swe-deen. 27:15 I don't wanna get too defensive but if you thought bringing up "Boys Will Be Boys" was necessary I think it would be only fare to also note that the only time Jordan himself denied all claims to being abused until he was administered sodium amytal by his father, which makes people highly suggestable, often resulting in false memories being implanted. 27:37 The settlement in this case didn't prevent the Chandlers from making a criminal case against Michael but they simply chose not to after being paid. 30:34 The HIStory Tour is not the most attended tour by a solo artist, Ed Sheeran's ÷ Tour had almost twice the attendance, likely because it was over three times the amount of shows Michael performed. The bridge accident in 1999 that irreversibly damaged Jacksons' spine and brought back his drug addiction to the point it killed him definitely should've gotten at least a passing mention. 32:35 The 30th Anniversary Celebration never became/got it's own concert film. 34:01 Not really important enough to mention in this video but this concert almost featured a saxophone solo in Black or White from none other than Bill Clinton according to LaVelle Smith Jr. (one of Michael's back-up dancers and choreographers) in his documentary "The Man Behind The Dance. 34:18 Not even mentioning Martin Bashir and his incredibly manipulative tactics he used here is odd. In fact, there's a whole documentary about the documentary called "Take Two - Living With Michael Jackson" where they show footage where Bashir lies to Michael that was removed from the final cut. Bashir did the same thing with Princess Diana. Also as an aside, the Vanity Fair article linked in your description as a source, despite it's confidently asserting title is wrought with inaccuracies, is completely unsourced and was written by Maureen Orth, who also wrote an article claiming Michael paid $150,000 to participate in a voodoo ritual where he bathed in sheep's blood and that if he didn't his money would disappear. This is obviously completely unsubstantiated and she's by no means a serious journalist. I always worry that dispelling all these rumours makes me come off as a deranged MJ fan here to defend him. I just want people to relay more accurate information.
13:20 I simply said that's what media outlets reported. 20:07 Thank you for clarifying this. I couldn't seem to find verification. 24:33 It's the first time I ever mispronounced a name! 27:15 Indeed. I knew about this. I couldn't include everything in this video. It was already way too long. 27:37 Good point. Which they never suspiciously sought afterward! 30:34 I forgot to mention it! 32:35 I misspoke- I meant that it was aired and syndicated on TV 34:01 You really know your stuff 34:18 Thanks for checking the sources. However, it's clear which side you are on. I was trying to be as objective as possible making this and it wasn't easy. Personally, I tend to side with Jackson. In fact, based on everything I have read and seen about him, I think he was asexual. Thank you for the thoughtful response!
@@mattbeatgoeson Yeah I totally get how including all this stuff would very much make it come across as less objective (even if it _is_ true) and Michael has a very storied life that's hard to put in a video like this concisely (which is why I worry about the new biopic they're making). I totally understand why you wanted to address the media's many claims about Michael's nose as it was ultimately a pretty big part of his life. I just think it would've been worth addressing just how true those claims were, although on the other hand I can certainly see how coming out and saying that Michael only had two nose jobs his whole life would sound like fanboy nonsense even with documented evidence of it. As someone who is asexual myself, as much as I'd love that representation, I just think it's pretty unlikely MJ was the same way. The pornography collection they found when raiding his house in 2003 was massive, including over 1800 images of naked women, plus Lisa Marie Presley stated that they were sexually active on Oprah in 2005 even after a divorce and being on less than ideal circumstances with the man (to the point of making a diss track on him which is a real thing that actually exists). Of course, it's _possible_ Michael was asexual but still consumed porn to fulfill his innate sex drive and only had sex to please his partner but if you need to do all that to come to that conclusion instead of just saying he's straight I think you can see what the more likely explanation is. Thank you for _your_ thoughtful response. I really didn't expect you to read or respond to such a lengthy comment. Keep up the good work, I love your content!
Great video, you did tons of research and know your stuff. You cant fake knowledge. The most important thing about him as a person, is he never acted like he was above anyone else, always humble and respectful and classy.
His music is really great and I love to put him on sometimes. My personal favourite songs of his are “Human Nature”, “Rock With You”, “The Lady In My Life” and “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”. Also, Is it just me or do I think the accusations were made for drama? Because I believe the media would’ve so envious of his success that they decided to make up “bad” things that MJ never did. Plus, we should never make assumptions about situations unless we have proof… and that’s why the media/paparazzi etc… sucks and is an insult to fame. RIP Michael.
The accusations were always about money. All of the accusers demanded money and went around selling their stories to the press. Then press made them into papers and sold them to huge profit. The only one who didn't gain from it was Michael himself. His whole life story is a good example about how money can make us do the most disgusting things imaginable.
The accusations are all fake. It's proven that all accusers are the real criminals. There is not one accuser who was not seeking money. The first accuser was Evan Chandler, Jordan Chandler's father who wanted money from Michael. His son didn't want to testify in a criminal case and without a victim there wasn't a crime. In order to get some money Evan Chandler changed his abuse allegation to negligence. Michael's lawyer recommended Michael to do a contract/settlement with him. Chandler would have kept Michael for 6-7 years in a civil lawsuit and Michael's career would have been over. In the contract Chandler wrote that Michael is innocent. It was not an admission of guilt. In order to have access to the money Evan Chandler took his son away from his mother, he later tried to kill him, he got emancipated and didn't see his parents for 11 years. The famous 4 workers from the Neverland Ranch either confessed that they were lying before the trial or they were caught lying in court. The Arvizo family were the real criminals, they did extortion of money before (JC Penney), Janet Arvizo did well fare fraud, her sons were caught lying to the court, Janet Arvizo were caught lying to the court, the DA was caught, he falsified evidence. The Arvizo family were greedy and jealous. There accusations were only a time from 6 weeks after the Martin Bashir documentary, a time when Michael distance himself from the family. There was not the smallest piece of evidence for any crimes. Safechuck and Robson, who accused Michael years after his death, had 60 proven lies in their movie. The time line was not correct, buildings and places didn't exist, they lied and contradicted themselves. Robson's mom said in her deposition that they saw Michael only 4 times within 15 years and she was always with her son. The whole accusation are based on lies. They also changed the abuse allegation to negligence. They are not credible or trustworthy, they previously filed for $1.6 billion. They are greedy and jealous liars. They are extortionists as well! You are right sexual abuse is a crime. There is a judge, a jury, lawyers, the District attorney, witnesses and a police investigation. They all are trying to find the truth and justice. Michael died innocent, not guilty, in a law of court. If there would have been the smallest piece of evidence, he would have been arrested. All accusers were looking to get a hand on Michael's bank account. The media told a lot of lies, and they are still doing it. They are paid by rich people of the entertainment industry, who wanted that Michael would spend a lot of money in court, so that they can buy the ATV music catalog cheaper and on the other hand when the attention was on Michael they just could go on doing their crimes as Weinstein, Epstein, Geffen. They all paid journalists and the media a lot of money for any fake and false reports.
yeah same here i always thought he was innocent as someone who was a victim to SA as a child ik a pedo when i see one and micheal didn’t give me that vibe at all idk why but he just didn’t. actually it was the complete opposite he seemed more like a victim himself who was still just a child stuck in a man’s body he was broken i think thats why he connected with children and children connected with him LONG LIVE THE KING 👑 ❤️
You did a fair job on this. You covered his life accurately without demonizing him. You talked about the allegations but also talked about the acquittals. You were very fair & I thank you. Michael is NOT a child molester & the fanbase will see to it that those allegations become a footnote in his story. They are things thrust upon him rather than things that define him. It's an evil agenda pumping up those stories. That's why that image fades away as soon as the media machine stops. What you are left with once the noise dies down is one of the most prolific artists & individuals in world history.
I don’t leave likes on videos; I rarely do, but this was well made. Great job! I love Michael. My first song that I listened to was ‘Bad’… okay, let me rephrase that. The first song of his I listened to was ‘Bad’ on MTV… okay, okay… the first song I ever listened to was titled ‘Bad’… in hindsight, ‘Bad’ is a bad name, but you guys get what I mean. He was so popular; his music played all the time, and I just became a bigger fan over time. But I didn’t have McDonald’s money as a kid, so I wasn’t going to see ‘This Is It.’ My entire neighborhood was quiet in June 2009. I saw the news report and didn’t know what it meant, but when I learned what it meant, I didn’t think there would be any more good songs. Luckily, music was good until 2016, and as many hits came and went, I always have Michael’s in rotation, with ‘You Rock My World’ as my favorite. Music won’t be the same, and it’s because a king rose to do something no one else could in the genre or music in general. We had something good, and people took it from us, but his music is still some of the best to bless this world, even if it doesn’t deserve it.
From what I’ve seen, Jackson is bigger than ever. The MJ musical and upcoming biopic will soar him to new heights. The allegations have never been proven and I believe he was used for greed. He was unfortunately an easy target. The music will live on forever.
Regarding the nose jobs: Michael only got 2 intentionally. The other revisions were to correct the scar tissue developing as a result of his lupus illness which affects the body’s ability to heal from wounds properly. He wasn’t able to breathe it was so bad. This is also why the 1984 Pepsi burn wound never healed and bothered him as late as 2008 as seen during his final photo shoot.
It’s crazy how much work J5 and Michael did in the first few years at Motown. When they left, Motown had 400 unreleased songs. They released multiple albums each year, plus tours, tv shows, photo shoots, and other promotion.
I always used to see him in adverts, and I was born and grew up in Nigeria, a country in west Africa, I always sang Billie Jean with my sisters and the first day of my new job which was June 25th 2009, immediately my new boss and my new colleagues started to cry and I didn’t know why then they told I just joined them crying and now my son,I only told him that there was named that and he was the best musician ever, till now this exact second he’s still a fan I’m even afraid that he is worshipping him,R.I.P Michael😢😢😢😢😢😢😢, you will always remain the king of pop and your music will always spread with more and more generations.
Michael Jackson is the greatest of all times....his fame destroyed him...making many weird issues , scandals ,allegation against him..He was intensively bullied and tortured mentally by evil people --- even the media ......Hope they let his death in peace ..miss Michael Jackson
I think that he grew up in hotel rooms, and if he wasn’t in the hotel room, he was in Studios or on stage or on tour. His only refuge was the bed. Where he could play with his brothers. Imagine what that must feel like growing up where the only place that you feel safe and you feel that you can be a child is in bed.
I know every single detail about him but still watched this in fascination like it was the first time. His music and estate has made $2 billion since his death. He's the richest dead celebrity
Seriously, you deserve way more subcribers based on your subject content!!!!!! Every single video is a title. I can't wait to dig into hearing all the backup thoughts i already knew and believed in for over 3 decades
You did so well with the commentary and editing! I was so engaged throughout the entire video. Growing up I used to be a little scared of Micheal Jackson but he still had such a huge influence in my household! We listened to him often and my little sister adored him so much! Over the years I have grown more fondly of him and truly feel like he was a great person despite his questionable decisions. Thank you so much for highlighting his life !
I love Michael Jackson and always will. He was a wonderful man and he Truly cared about people in the world that had nothing. He did many loving concerts to make money for others in the world that had absolutely nothing. He was the World’s Greatest Performer and he Truly had a Heart of LOVE. I will always love him.
❤❤
He was definitely a kind human being and never lost his empathy throughout his career. Well put!
He didn’t. That man was one of the kindest celebrities we’ve ever seen.

Michael Jackson was many things, an icon, a father, a troubled soul, a humanitarian, an abuser was not one of them. Hopefully one day his legacy won’t be tainted by the greed of others and industry agendas.
Let’s see what this biopic starring his nephew will do for him.
A few important things to consider about the child sexual abuse allegations:
The evidence from the 1993 allegations, collected over the span of a year, was presented to two California grand juries.
THIS! everybody needs to know all this information!
wow a famous person was found not guilty 🤯🤯🤯
go have a nap, you're too brainwashed by the media, that's fucking sad.@@PrinceSuperSuper

Now we're onto the "documentary" Leaving Neverland, released in 2019.
I'm certain there's more to talk about but this is the gist as condensed as I could have put it (I've put it much larger in the past, this is the best I can do to articulate in detail).

so true that's the truth what you posted
Thanks for putting this out. A lot of people don't actually know the details of the case.
@@Inspiring8638if you seen “living with Michael Jackson” he walked into a store and just started buying all the fancy artwork and furniture at random a lot of which he didn’t even use, Mike had a serious spending problem 😂
also that book is in The Library of Congress.
There is no evidence Jackson even read the book either, they never found his fingerprints on the pages. he wrote a message on the cover and likely discarded of it.
otherwise he would have gotten convicted for sure. i trully believe he was innocent. he might have young kids sleepover.. as inside he was a boy, something he could not ever be in his youth. but he didn’t abuse his sleepover friends.
Micha Jackson is the G.O.A.T. No one can even come close to him until today. He is intelligent, creative, talented, philanthropic, hard-working, kind, respectful, handsome, charismatic, humble and a world-class leader. People are so jealous of him that they betrayed him, made use of him, backstabbed him and eventually murdered him. Anyone who did harm to him, your soul will never rest in peace. The people didnt deserve him. RIP MJ.💔
Michael Jackson is simply one of the greatest entertainer/artist in the world. It's just upsetting of all the crap he had to go through (and still go through) because of his success, but none of that will ever dismish his legacy.

You are correct. No evidence other than heresay.
@@mattbeatgoesonnot only that but there are tons of evidence against his accusers, but the UK and US media weren't interested in that.
I genuinely find it amazing how in spite of how well documented every aspect of MJ's life is you'd think that accusers would actually have circumstantial proof
After the thorough 2005 trial and the surprise raids of Neverland from dozens of sheriffs tearing the place up from top to bottom finding nothing but straight vanilla porn kinda sums it all up. Maybe he was some mastermind predator but there didn’t seem to be a there there.

The Jackson 5 and The Jacksons deserve a much more insight dive, their catalog is just as great as Michael Jackson’s catalog.
No?
@@ItzRobbie05 what
@@slystone4892 their catalog isn't as god as Michael's
@@ItzRobbie05 Yes it is in my opinion I mean altogether Jackson 5 and Jacksons
I definitely wouldn't say it's as good as MJ's solo catalog. But sometimes I feel what the Jackson 5/Jacksons did as a black family in that period is often under-appreciated. They never managed to duplicate a certain level of success they had in their earlier years of Motown... a one hit here or there, but never successive back to back hits. MJ did that from Thriller to Bad. You could say he also did that from Bad to other albums (outside of the USA).
Long live Michael Jackson!
His music lives on forever!

Fun Facts:
Marshall Thompson of the Chi-Lites
discovered the Jackson Five,

Bobby,who was signed to Motown

Jeffrey Daniel of the hit group

the moonwalk.
It was confirmed by hit singer

It’s amazing to me how much talent came out of the Midwest. The J5 traveled between Chicago, Detroit and NYC and met many great artists along the way, including James Brown and Jackie Wilson. It’s said that the J5 opened for both at clubs in Chicago. In any case, I wonder what caused so much talent to be located in that corridor. The Motown acts alone were crazy talented

The Wiz definitely wasn’t a flop.

Thanks for praising his later stuff!
I'm an 80's kid but the first MJ album I actually owned was History. I think that disc 2 possesses some of his best work he has every done. "They Don't Really Care About Us" and "Earth Song" are masterpieces in my estimation. I'd put them in my Top 10 MJ songs.

So glad to say l was around as a thirteen year old eight grader when Michael and his brothers hit the scene releasing their first hit single ‘l Want You Back’ in 1969. I finally got to see them live in concert on May 4th, 1979.
I originally became interested in the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson due to J Dilla sampling them a few times. My favorite example is "All I Do Is Think of You" being used in "Time: The Donut of the Heart"
Woah!! Never knew about this hidden fact. I got into J Dilla because of that song
Glad you got into some off michaels charity work witch is often forgotten👍

Totally agree!!!!
would love to see a video on Janet Jackson's career, I feel like she's criminally underrated nowadays even though she was arguably BIGGER than Michael during some points of her career. I think a lot of people only know her for the Super Bowl incident today which is really unfair
I'm not gonna lie. I had a huge poster up of Janet Jackson on my wall when I was in high school.
Not being disrespectful to Janet, but i think she is mostly influencial in the US, in Europe she is almost unknown, MJ was HUGE in Europe
Agreed 100 % !!!
Ok then?
Dangerous is my favorite MJ album.

THE KING OF POP BABY!!!!!! Wooo!!!!

Usually mj biographies arent to accurate this guy did pretty good for the most part
32:35 I misspoke- I meant that it was aired and syndicated on TV
34:01 You really know your stuff
34:18 Thanks for checking the sources.
Oh wait I totally forgot, at 27:15 that's NOT Jordan Chandler, that's Brett Barnes.

The things that the media said about him were either blown out of proportion or simply a bed of lies.
@@aurelinho0075Yes. That’s exactly what I meant.
10:28 The Wiz flopped in the general public, but in the Black community. It's a classic! 💚
Sure bro keep on defending him.
Excellent commentary. Well done.
Do you know when the biopic is coming out?
@@mattbeatgoeson No idea but I read filming is starting in January 2024 so I assume it will be released sometime in 2025.

Finally the King Of Pop and the Greatest Entertainer of All time gets a video

I think that he grew up in hotel rooms, and if he wasn’t in the hotel room, he was in Studios or on stage or on tour. His only refuge was the bed. Where he could play with his brothers. Imagine what that must feel like growing up where the only place that you feel safe and you feel that you can be a child is in bed.
This video comes out at the same time when I'm listening to his music for the first time months lol
I sometimes forget just how ridiculously good MJ's music is.
I know every single detail about him but still watched this in fascination like it was the first time. His music and estate has made $2 billion since his death. He's the richest dead celebrity
I already loved your work, have for years. This one tho...this one makes you the GOAT.
HOLY HECK, MR.BEAT AND MICHAEL JACKSON??? MY TWO FAVORITE PEOPLE!!!!!!!
Michael jackson will always be remembered!
Guys it all makes sense now. He used the hyperbolic time chamber to train singing and dancing!
Seriously, you deserve way more subcribers based on your subject content!!!!!! Every single video
is a title. I can't wait to dig into hearing all the backup thoughts i already knew and believed in for over 3 decades
The ‘fat nose’ foreshadow was savage.
Not really an introduction! You just summed it all up ! Well played. We won’t get a part two to this lol.
lol well I just really got into it
This is very detailed, enlightening and entertaining at the same time. Good job guys
Great video man! :)
