I have had that flysky radio for 14 years and its great...range on mine is very far..ran boats, cars very far away...i also converted mine to use lipo 3s packs...Great demo i actually never compared radios and did not realize this dead zone issue..i always blamed the linkage and servos..thanks for sharing😊
I’m glad to help 😊, thanks for the kind words 👍. Strange that your radio has a good range, the range is the only drawback for me on this radio. I also use the radio on 1:10 off roads cars and here I often run out of range, here the range is like 30-50 meters. I have another radio labeled “HRC” which should be the same (and looks identical) but that one has 300m range - strange
Hi there, a great explanation of the features of an advanced radio system and in particular the EXP features. So great that you managed to squeeze in hobby grade receiver and ESC into such a small package. Best wishes 😊
Thanks John. There was room for all electronics, long wires and connectors, if you shorten the wires and solder instead of connectors there is lots of space 😀
The stock servo are actually good, you might be able to find a better one but the radio are the weakest link and should be upgrades before servo. I use the stock servo in all my micro WLToys
Most LiPO batteries has two cables/connectors: Main connector (in this case the red one) and the balance connector (the white one). For these small cars with small batteries the connectors are same size, and same size wire, so both connectors can be used to feed the car with power. But if you have a larger car like a 1:10, it has (if it is also a 2S / 7.4V battery) exactly the same white balance connector, but a much larger main connector. with thicker wires Only the main connector can be used to feed the car with power. Balance connector is only used when charging battery (together with the main connector). Technically a 2S battery has two 3,7V cells in a series connector = 7,4V on main connector, a 3S has 3 etc. Main connector is always two wires. But the balance connector has more wires (depending on the number of cells) and is used to top-up charge each cell individually so battery gets fully charged. Hope this helps
Nice video, I am about to do it like this but one question. If I buy the ESC, do I need to program the low-voltage cutoff? If yes, I can only find brushless ESC programming cards :-(
Do you mean that you by accident ordered the 30A ESC instead of 20A? I don’t think that is a problem, it not much larger, I had no problem fitting the ESC, it’s more all the cables that can be hard to fit.

You've upgraded to a better one than the standard controls. It's great.
Yes, it’s a very noticeable upgrade, fixes the biggest issue with the K989/K969
Cool upgrade bro 😃👌 great car 😁👍✌
Thanks buddy 👍
The flysky is very good for the monnay
Yes it is, only issue is range is not that good.
Halo!! Penjelasan yang sangat dimengerti sukses buat anda
Thanks, glad you could use it 😀. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
nice comparison 👌👍
Thanks buddy, glad you liked it 👍
so i can still do that mod to my 284131?
Yes, no problem. The radio on 284131 isn't as terrible as the K989, but a better radio will still make the car easier to drive
Great video and channel 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for your content 👏👏👏

Thanks for your kind words, it makes me happy 😃. Welcome to the channel 👍 👌
So do these stock servos perform well..or maybe a better upgrade servo makes sense.

Hey what is a battery balance connector ?

Hi, the ESC has some built in LiPo cutoff, I don’t think it can be adjusted though.
@@LyhneRC Thanks for the quick answer 🙂

I accidentally ordered the 30A ESC, is this a problem?

@@LyhneRC yes that's it you understood correctly, thank you for your answer
