- WLtoys 1/28 (K989, K969) Brushless motor and aluminum suspension build. In this video I turn my old 1/28 WLtoys rc car and turn it into a custom Brushless micro rc drift car with a 10,000kv 2030 Brushless motor, all aluminum suspension, a custom machined chassis brace, extended battery tray for bigger batteries and shock mounts. using a Radiolink RC4GS transmitter and receiver with built in gyro to control it. Thank you! The motor is definitely a bit bigger than necessary lol a 1410 would have been just fine but this is a 2030.

What motor and speed controller combo are you running?

It's a hobby wing 18A esc and a 2030 brushless motor. Although I would probably recommend going with a 1410 brushless motor. I run it on 2s LIPO batteries.
@@kenneththomson4912 also stock motor mount but with the motor mount holes bored out to fit the motor.
Are the custom brace and battery extensions available for purchase
I would have to see if I still have the CAD file, but if I do, I could machine a couple of them up and sell them.

Does this motor fit the wltoys 284131?
I would imagine it would be similar but I'm not entirely sure since I don't own that model yet. This particular motor is honestly a bit overpowered for this chassis to be honest. There are other size brushless motors that are better suited to this chassis.

It's a custom piece I designed and machined myself on my cnc.

Here is a link to something similar but not the exact one I used in this build. Although I would honestly recommend something a little smaller and less powerful. Hey is there any way to fix a broken axle on a k969
Wich part of the axle is broken?
The metal part is bent and the plastic peace is Brocken.

The motor I used in this video is a 2030 brushless motor. Admittedly it's a bit large for this chassis and requires slight modification to the motor mount. Here is a link to a 1410 motor with an esc and this will drop right in and be a good increase in speed/power. You can choose different kv ratings on them. The higher the KV number, the more speed and less torque it will have. And did you have to trim the servo or motor mount
