with 95 to 105kg (depending on which power-level of engine one chooses), it´s lighter than the average part03, which mostly end up weighting somewhere near the maximal permited weight of 115kg...
No, for "part 103" UL-aircraft, you neither need a pilot-license, nor a complicated aircraft certification process. from Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultralight_aircraft_(United_States) Certification Ultralight vehicles and their component parts and equipment are not required to meet the airworthiness certification standards specified for aircraft or to have certificates of airworthiness.[1] Operators of ultralight vehicles are not required to meet any aeronautical knowledge, age, or experience requirements or to have airman or medical certificates.[1] Ultralight vehicles are not required to be registered or to have registration markings.[1]
I've never flown but as I LQQK critically I'd have a problem w/ my feet sticking out.... lmao, especially taking off or landing but I'm not a professional as this man. That said, I'm sure this plane has an agility like no other? peace
Congratulations on the build, Mr. Fahl looks genuinely impressed with the plane. He must have loved the visibility.
With a post-flight smile like that you don't have to ask how it was.

Nice flying field you have. Congrats on a successful flight.

Is this in the 103.7 category?
Yes it is FAR Part 103 microlight category in USA.
Looks to heavy to be a part 103.7 watched the construction video and there’s a lot of rivets in that A/C.
