Hi Carl, This is another intriguing collection of tracks. Once again, there is so much here that is new to me, including Laughing. I'll keep my eyes open for that one!

There is a good write up on the Laughing LP at Paste Magazine's website. Also, you can stream the album on Bandcamp. I should have said in the video that it's available in North America on the Celluloid Launch label. So many good Canadian guitar rock bands at the moment! Thanks for watching.

Another great Power Pop Shakers show Carl. I've seen Fastbacks a couple times in the '90's and they drew a great crowd. X is another band I like that I've seen several times over the years, looking forward to their new release since Alphabetland (so is Steve Herold.) Big fan of Love and Johnny E. That upcoming album would be interesting to hear. Nice selection of bands again to checkout, you’re always doing your homework!

Hi Tom. I thought of Steve when I saw that X had a new album out. I don't recall X ever having played in the UK.
The Fastbacks video was a real surprise when it turned up in my recommended videos.
Arthur Lee was a genius. I've probably told you before that I saw him live a couple of times, and one of those times he was playing 'Forever Changes' with a string section. It's a long wait I'm afraid for the Love album.
      Best wishes from the UK!

hey carl. another interesting list. i need to pick up that new X album. I agree Alphabetland was a nice “return to form” for them and i’m looking forward to this one. i saw them last summer and am gonna go see them again this October. I know they’re claiming this is The End. But we’ll see.

Hi Steve. I thought of you when I heard that X had a new record out. It must be hard for a band to say this is The End and give up all the adulation from their fans. The Bond film 'Never Say Never Again' is on TV at the moment. Maybe that should be the motto instead. Thanks for being the first to leave a comment! I can relax a bit now.
