      @@Marvelofebikes Yes it was, I have been looking at ebike for a few months and have decided on the Aventure as well. Your video clarified some of my questions. BTW, I heard you mention you are a first responder, thank you for all that you do. I am a Mayor of small town in Florida and these have been very trying times, again Thank You!

    Thanks for the great video. I am happy to see that the assembly is fairly easy. I was in San Diego last week and saw a bunch of e-bikes on the road. I wasn’t particularly interested until I saw the Aventure. It looked totally bad ass!! I can’t wait to get one. I would love to see more videos about your experiences with the bike. Have a great day.

      Thank you! Riding every day but very hot here. They said prices going up starting Sept 1. Would get one ordered before. Will hopefully do some ride videos.

    Well done. Mine is on order thru my local shop. Same price but for $100 they will assemble and tune up and provide 1 annual tune up. Can’t wait.

    Nice vid. Brought back memories of putting my 2021 Level together a few months back. The bike is great. 🤞. I’m a bit of an older dude with knee replacements but this bike let’s getting back on the trials such a treat. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. Safe riding.

    Thank you for your time you put into making your video. I hope you enjoy your bike. I ordered one also. I ordered the step through. But if you’re doing testing I prefer videos without music so I can hear how loud the motor is how loud the tires are,etc. you could also be the first to discuss seat height. Since like on the step. The frames are identical. The small only has the seat post cut down. That’s the only difference. So if it’s a problem just add a taller seat post. Thank you again

    • @Marvelofebikes
      @Marvelofebikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for the input. May make a ride video later. Agree, sound important but I will say motor is quiet. Have to really hear it when it kicks on.

    • @ruffdood6706
      @ruffdood6706 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is one other difference between the two “sizes” of step through bikes besides the seat post height. The S/M bike has a shorter stem offset than does the L/M. Shorter riders with shorter arms too need a shorter stem offset to end up with the same relatively upright back angle that appropriately sized riders on the L/M sized bike sense. Of course, one can replace the stem component to fine tune the offset, angle, and height to achieve the ride position they desire. The other difference in the frame geometries between the S/M and the L/M step through configurations is more nuanced but visible nonetheless. The 3” shorter seat post requires the rear frame stays to attach lower too. So the angles in the rear triangle are different at the top and rear. That’s why the Aventon-supplied rear racks must be custom ordered depending on which bike size you want to mount it to. The more squat-down rear triangle may have subtle changes in frame stiffness, but nobody is likely to feel ride differences. But if you plan to use a suspension seat post, you need additional room above the seat post clamp to fit the suspension mechanism. So if your height says you can order the L/M size step through, but you are short enough that your seat position leaves less than the necessary post above the clamp to accommodate the mechanism, you may want the S/M size step through to have a suspension post and still comfortably reach the ground while seated.

    Great video. Ordered my step through in red on Aug 31st just under the wire before price increase. Also took advantage of the firefighter discount. Should be about 2-3 weeks I hope.

    Thanks and a question please. I assume you also looked at the Rad 6Plus during your e-bike search. What made you choose this particular bike ? Thxs

    • @Marvelofebikes
      @Marvelofebikes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At the time, the price on the Aventon was a bit better. Also, the Rad had cable brakes, if I remember, before they upgraded. I also liked the frame of the Aventon with an integrated battery design and I liked the motor on the Aventon. I wasn't sure what the Rad was using. Also, I liked the color display with the battery percentage and not just 4 bars. Overall, both are good bikes but I had to make a decision. Other considerations were Juice and Himiway as well as others. Thanks!

    When I received my Aventure, the front wheel would not go on. It turns out one of the brake calipers had twisted out of its seating, forcing the calipers together. 45 minutes of noodling and I was able o figure out what happened. Using a flathead screwdriver I was able to twist the caliper back into its seat. After that, everything was a breeze.

      Sorry to hear that. Glad it worked out. As I see more videos, I learn about forks, brakes, motors, etc. Thank goodness for warranties. Make sure you break in the brakes like you do on a car. They work well after that is done. Happy riding.

    I got the Sinch , it broke 3 months after having it. It took them 2 weeks of ignoring my emails and live chat I doubt they will every fix it a 1700 dollar paper weight. So I truly hope your bike doesn't break down. After they have your money, they lose interest in you real fast.

  • @mrc1436

    Another reviewer who doesn’t mention the best feature that you can get with this bike. You can buy through a dealer and not just online. If you buy online you have to assemble and tune. That’s where a lot of novice people have problems. They think they have it right and when they ride it they make problems because it is not adjusted and tuned correctly. If you buy online and have a warranty issues you have to diagnose and request parts and fix yourself. And after warranty most bike shops including the Aventon dealers don’t work on online purchase bikes. Imagine buying your car and no dealer warranty and no repair garage would work on it.

    • @Marvelofebikes
      @Marvelofebikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are advantages of buying from a dealer but in my case, there is no local dealer selling Aventon. Not everyone can or wants to assemble bikes but for those who do, this is what the video was about I have a warrant claim on the fork and Aventon has been responsive so far. It’s a trade off. Thanks for the input!

    I own two of Aventon Aventure's. They are great bikes.
    But the step thru arrived with issues, and both bikes were missing parts. On the step-thru, it took me six hours of work to modify the channel containing brake line and electrical wires behind the battery, just to get the battery to stay in.
    Almost six months later they still have not shipped the part.
    So while the bikes ended up good, the quality control and customer service was terrible.
    I would not recommend this company.
