    This is a fresh look at pontoon style houseboats. Good architecture throughout. Definitely has a place for the right people.

    This is trick. I saw one at the Sydney boat show a couple of years ago and the next day i was up at north head watching the boats leaving Sydney and this "boat" came along and sailed out the heads and headed north in the open ocean and sailed out of sight!

    When it comes to relaxation, my time, down time,I like to drink my ass off on Fosters beer then pass out on my expensive but kinda uppity house boat.

    Now imagine that same boat, at night; in a thunderstorm; or on a miserably hot or cold day. They won't show you that, in an advertisement. What they show you, instead, is optimal weather and marine conditions.

      Good thing it has enough batteries and solar power for the air conditioning and heating system yeah? Looks like at least 10,000 Watts. Catamarans are never awesome in open seas during a storm. But it looked wide enough to be fairly stable still

      AC is an issue - best to design boats that have a good air flow

    Needs more solar panels.

      Fingers crossed the pannels will become more efficient soon - aesthetics don't always work with too many panels

  • @dejayrezme8617
    @dejayrezme8617 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Wow awesome. How fast can it go on a sunny day without draining batteries?
    There must be a sweet spot where boat get too big and heavy, weight increases by the third power while solar surface area increase by the power of two.

    • @dejayrezme8617
      @dejayrezme8617 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your reply :)
      Do you think an ocean going / cruising power catamaran would be possible with higher speeds?
      With a large enough battery that should be no problem of course, keeping enough safety reserves to be able to move away fast if a storm approaches etc.

      Yep
      It would be cheaper to immigrate to England I'd suspect
      Not very likely to happen
      I also suspect my budget would not extend to being able to afford one of your new boats
      I'm just kicking tyres at the moment
      I'm more likely to buy a small-ish used houseboat and upgrade it to solar and electric
      I see it costs $75k to move an old boat from Lake Eildon to Echuca
      Thanks for your time anyway

    That's fucking awesome. But u can stuck there if the weather is cloudy. I don't like this electric engine. I think the best choice is just a big boat but with kitchen, bedroom, bathroom etc.

    In any rough seas this thing would sink.. and Australian design huh? lol ok. The guy says that as if they are some kind of leader in boat design or something.. look to the french, english, or the good ol USA for the best engineering in the world bar none. Thats just a fact. Last I checked this internet we are all using.. yeah that was invented in the USA. Other great examples are things like the I phone, the AC motor, oh and last but not least ELECTRICITY lol. It is like the rest of the world wants to pretend they are on the level of the USA.. not even close. China seems to be but they steal our tech and ideas then cop them as their own lol. What a joke.
