Here’s further explanation from the original post of 3:26 ! The reason that everyone always looked miserable in old photos wasn’t that they took too long to take. Once photography became widespread it only took seconds to take a picture. It was because getting your photo taken was treated the same as getting your portrait painted. A very serious occasion meant so that your descendants would know that you existed what you looked like. But one time some British dudes went to china to go on an anthropological expedition, and they met some rural Chinese farmers and decided to take their pictures. Now, these people weren’t exposed to the weird culture of the time around getting your photo taken, so this guy just flashed a big grin during the photo because he was told to strike a pose and that’s the pose he wanted to strike. As someone that works weddings. Please always give your photographers food. They spend a lot of time with the client and do not have time to take a snack break. It should be standard to feed them (and any site workers that are on staff not part of the caterers, though this one is a little less necessary)
actually that case is even worse than you are thinking. The photographer was their friend so he agreed to do the wedding for a very low price and then when he later went to get the food the groom said you can't have it as you are not here as a guest but you are working for us. So he was quiet justified in deleting the photos
Ive got a feeling that the monsters who don't feed anybody with a mouth at their wedding are gonna be filing divorce papers after a while. People like that are not going to last very long like that. Serves them right too.
