Same, I got a second hand abandoned cousins pc with pentium g620 with asus p8h61 mobo with dusty and damaged RAM. I recovered the mobo and all. Now i modified the pc with intel core i3 2120 and 8gb DDR3 RAM and 120GB ssd and 500GB HDD and 500W PSU. Then the most shitty thing is that the PC case. the case was covered with lizard shit and rat shit. So i removered all electrical components (like USB slots, Audio jacks & power switch and lights. whoohh....
I would never wash any components that have electrical components with water. I had a heart-attack when you washed and scrubbed the processor and mainboard with soap and water. I’m surprised that the computer still works after all that. I’ve been a computer technician for over 20 years and I would never ever use soap and water to clean any pc components. There are better methods like using isopropyl alcohol, electrical contact cleaner and air blowers with brushes.
i take it this guy has never heard of isopropyl alcohol when he washed that board in soapy water i was like game over something smells fishy here and its not the motherboard because that smell of hand wash which was what it looked like he used if that powered up with no issues i would be amazed but i doubt it
@@kingzfire8937 the problem would be the printed circuit board. If the water had penetrated the top layer, the board will literally swell itself apart.
For myself I use electronics contact cleaner and isopropyl alcohol. But in fact lots of tech TH-camrs do use water for cleaning the motherboard, albeit I had never seen anyone wash it with the CPU intact. Remove the cmos battery beforehand and use anti rust spray once done. Some actually suggested to use distilled water instead.

The way he cleaned the case without removing the electronic parts gave me PTSD
🤣
Nah that gave me permanent anxiety

You can surely clean any electronics with soapy water, you only have to make sure everything is dry before electricity appears.
thats how mining card were clean before selling to public market .. heck they even use pressure washer

i mean you can wash with water and soap, but you need to let it dry like real real dry maybe for 1 week, you just need to make sure the water is gone.

I don't believe that he got it started
nice to see an abandoned computer has a chance to continue its service

not fake. This is just what I do because I like it. It is foolish to buy a used computer to deceive others.
