      I saw others clean with water and soup and inmediately dry with compressed air. There is no problem if yo do that way. I've never saw cleaning the fans with water, they are not waterproof, better use isopropilic alcohol. At least he didn't washed the PSU with water.

    When I clean my own working computers, I usually do it carefully using IPA and contact cleaners... but on this video, he's cleaning unused, thrown-out PCs, he's got nothing to loose... if i'm cleaning the same kind of PCs, I might also use his method using water (except for PSU & Fans)... but I will use hairdryer afterward to make sure everything dries out quickly (and hopefuly thoroughly)...

      1155보드부터는 일명 짭제온을 구해서 낄 수 있어서 활용도가 높죠~ 어지간한 작업에서는 충분히 현역이라고 생각합니다.

    Same thing as the previous video, using water and soap to clean computer components will cause them to rust in the near future. You are lucky so far that they still power up, even after letting them dry for 48 hours.
    It's a ticking time bomb. The motherboards also have capacitors, just like the ones in the power supply, only much smaller. They do not do well after getting wet.

    • @digitalkel83
      @digitalkel83 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rust won't form if the parts have been dried completely, there are many tech youtubers who've done this in the past, Tech Yes City, 8 Bit Guy to name a few, its not like the people are cleaning these parts and NOT drying them. If you remove the wet, then it's dry. The only thing I wouldn't do is put fans in there due to the bearings, now THAT will cause an issue. I think in this video they could have done a better job with the drying process though, using some sort of air movement on the parts.

    put a lot of bad thermal paste, there is a risk of overflowing the socket pins

    • @l1ght608
      @l1ght608 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      as long as it's not conductive thermal paste it will be alright.

    컴퓨터 부품이 물에들어가면 안돼지 않아요?

    • @overtest
      @overtest  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      잘 말리면 문제 없습니다. 다만 이런 도전적인 일은 보통 새 컴퓨터에 시도하기 보다는, 영상의 버려진 컴퓨터 처럼 망가져도 상관 없을 부품들을 물로 청소하는게 좋죠.
