I'm a complete DIY novice and after seeing this video I felt confident enough to give it a bash. My family thought it hilarious that I was attempting to fix anything but guess who's laughing now! The dryer is fixed! Thanks buddy.
This just saved my mum a new tumble drier. Ordered the part, followed the instructions. Broken plastic just as he said. Piece of cake. Huge thanks to the maker of the video. Really clear. Superstar.
Thank you, this “how to do” video is brilliant and simple to follow it gave me the confidence to try to change the light guider myself - never tempted anything like this before, but being a single mum and not having £250 + for new dryer I had a go! Ordered part and 1 day later it’s fixed I’m so proud of myself all for £5.71 makes you think how many people just throw things away with out trying to fix! Thank you 🥰
Never thought I would be able to fix this myself, but your video is excellent! Thank you so much, made me feel great doing it by myself and saved me a load in repair fees
As someone who is the opposite of handyman, I was ready to throw my dryer away or pay someone a lot of money when the button stuck. Followed this and got it working for the sum of a fiver! Clear instructions, fantastic video. Thanks!
Had a problem with my beko dryer. Found this video, bought the spare part required and the rest is history, dryer working again, no problem! Thank you ultimate handyman, the instruction was absolutely spot on , very easy to understand, very impressed. 👏🏻👏🏻 I’m not super at this sort of thing but instead of spending about £120 for someone to come and do it for me, I thought after seeing your video, I can do this and I did! The wife is well chuffed so definitely in her good books too. Thanks once again 👍🏻😄
Omg my drier is working after five years looking at me, and Chinese laundry, finally I got fed up with clothes everywhere, and I feel like a goddess in my own life, thank you soooo much x
You beauty! 4 year old machine developed this problem. Told £80 call out and £60 repair meant just replacing the £200 machine. For £6 and 15 mins work I now have a perfectly functioning machine again and have saved a landfill site another big bulky item. Thanks so much for your help!!
Thank you for such a simple step by step approach. Worked a treat for me. Tumble drier now back and working. Highly recommend people take 30 mins to follow this and fix the problem themselves. As long as you can use a screw driver, very straight forward.
Just want to say this video was everything I needed to fix my Beko tumble dryer, had the exact plastic problem described here and the instructions were clear and concise!
Just wanted to say thank so much for this - it's the second time in 3 years I've had to replace that panel on my 11 year old Beko tumble-dryer and you've saved me about £300 each time, following this tutorial! Very easy to do.
Useful video Chez. We've got a similar Beko dryer. Several years old now and so far no problems. We tend to buy new cheaper machines on offer, I fix anything that goes wrong out of g'tee that's a cheap fix on them, but when it gets expensive we get another machine. Not the "greenest" solution maybe but certainly the easiest. No service engineers call out fees! Great tip about numbering or marking cables. That's an absolute "must". Takes a minute to do, but saves loads of hassle later.
I remember a guy once who asked a question in the forum, he had a blown component in his washing machine and posted a picture of it (I can't remember if it was an interference suppressor, or a motor start capacitor), but I found him a direct replacement part and posted a link to it. A few days later he posted back asking where the wires go! I told him that he should have got the new one, next to the old one and just swapped the wires, but it was too late- he had removed all three or four wires! Thanks for the comment 👍
Brilliant: "start" switch stopped working and thought I'd have to get a professional in to fix it. But I spent £3.79 on a new light guide for my model of tumble dryer and then maybe an hour (max) very carefully following the video to install it. Now the machine is working perfectly. Thank you so much.
I have the same model with the same issue. Less than £5 for the part from Amazon and I followed this video including marking up plugs etc. Dryer now working and no big bill. Thank you for sharing this.
Just repaired the start button this morning thanks to your excellent explanation. The plastic at the base of the light guide had half broken. Silly design but you saved me buying a new machine and the planet! Thanks very much!
The best teacher on TH-cam. I'm not a DIY person but I was able to follow your instructions to get my dryer working again in about 30minutes. Thank you, you saved me money.
🙂Excellent guidance. Have this model tumble dryer and the start/pause button wasnt working. Followed the video to discover that new light guide needed. Ordered one (£3.75! inc delivery!) and while waiting for it to arrive did an epoxy resin temporary 'fix' of the broken plastic 'toggle' ( with some thin strips of silver foil glued on it for extra strength). It worked! A bit of a silly bodge but at least the dryer can be used for a while until the new replacement guide panel gets here. Having done this and followed the video I will be able to reasonably quickly and safely replace it, also remembered to use marker pen to mark the 4 wires as illustrated! Thank UH...saved us over £250-300 on a new dryer!!!
All that I seem to do at the moment is work, and fix things! In the last few weeks, the tumble drier broke, the shelf broke in the fridge door and a washer perished on the upstairs toilet fill valve, which resulted in water dripping through the ceiling causing the RCD to trip. At least we have had two superbly sunny days 😉 I hope everyone has a great Sunday
Beko Tumble Dryer with the Start/Stop button stuck. I found this video watched it , order part I needed from Amazon and then undertook the work and now all fixed. Thank you.
My dryer button has just had this exact fault and your tutorial is so clear. I've ordered a new part and feel confident in having a go at fixing this tomorrow! Thankyou so much for this.
Accurate, clear, thorough, excellent pictures, steady voice - everything I needed to get the start/pause button on our Becco tumble dryer repaired. Thank you very much.!
Thank you so much for this video. I thought I would have to buy a new tumble dryer. I bought the new part for under a fiver and managed to fix it myself. So chuffed! So easy to follow your clear instructions. Thank You!
Thank you SO much! You've just saved me spending £300 on buying a new dryer and getting the old one taken away. I've also avoided adding yet another household appliance to landfill (or wherever appliances go when they go to sleep and never wake up 🙄). I'm very grateful indeed! 🌟
I’ve just saved £155 in a call out call from Beko by watching your video - spending £3 on the part from Amazon - and 15 minutes to fix it!! Thank you so much for sharing 😀👌🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much! Googled 'start button won't work on condenser dryer' - and your video popped up top of the list, working on my exact dryer. I ordered the button plate straight away, and with my phone propped up on the counter with your video playing - I have just fixed my dryer!! Hurrah!! 🎉Thanks again 😊
This is a brilliant guide. I used these instructions to fix my start/pause button. Thank you so much. You've saved me time and money on getting a handyman/electrician to charge me a silly sum of money to do a simple fix. All this cost me was £4.75 for the light guide panel. 😃
God bless you and your family. Followed your steps although my dryer was slightly different it was almost the same steps. You saved me so much money! Please watch this video and listen to him guys!
Brilliant video. As others have said you don't need to be an electrician nor DIY expert as video is so easy to follow. We did order the wrong part...which was shorter than the original ...however was able to combine old and new and got it working. V happy and impressed my Mrs as well
I fixed my Beko DCUR801W at the weekend thanks to this video. The only difference between the model shown and mine was the lid. Beko dispensed with the extra bit of plastic at the front and the whole lid is just one piece now, so no hidden screws.
This is a great video! My husband and I managed to fix this together. We are useless at DIY, so great to manage this ourselves. It helped that we had the exact same model. :) The only thing that I would add is that we had another very small electrical connection point top right hand side, next to the main on/off connections (the four he mentions). We unclipped that to work on the board, as we had nearly no play with the wiring that we had to move the front board forward.
Thanks for your video, would never have attempted this before, but with everything so expensive to replace I think more people are trying to fix their own. I am so glad for people like you who do these videos, was also lucky it was same make and model so no surprises, and of course so chuffed with myself. Thank again, big thumbs up from me.. 👍👍
Thanks for this, very helpful. I'd assumed that the start/pause button was a switch and spent ages looking for one on the Beko spares site, obviously without success. Your video explained it perfectly. Thanks again.
Brilliant video, followed step by step and worked a treat. For a complete novice in electrics this was so simple to follow and has ultimately saved me money as normally would’ve got a engineer or just bought a new tumble dryer
Saved us a fortune! Hubby did the dead but honestly your instructions were so clear, I feel I could have been confident enough to try it out myself! Thank you 😊
You have just saved me over £100 ( call out fee and parts ) by following your video, found out it was just the switch that just needed fixing. Thanks again
Perfect step by step instructions and calling out the markings and potential for breaking important tabs was very good. Sorted a headache for me easily. Thanks.
I just fixed mine by watching this video. Have had the part 2 years but it worked if I punched it repeatedly until today. So finally got round to it. Thank you
Thank you for this very detailed and clear video. I repaired my machine today and it was a simple job because you explained what part is needed and it was easy to follow your video.
This video is so helpful I am very glad you have done this dtpe by step guide for the public to use I was quoted £45 plus parts and I ordered the parts myself 7.99 and 5.99 including p and p and done it myself today and changed the fuse on the plug. Thanks a lot 😊very happy 😊
Thank you so much for this video. My wife and I are not techy at all. This is the first time we've ever attempted a repair like this. It took us about an hour, following your video a step at a time. The button now works. The people who have given your video a thumbs-down must be thicker than us! The machine works and you've saved us fifty odd quid (the quote the repair man gave us). Thanks again.
Thank you so much!! I actually had a good time repairing the dryer with my son, thanks to your video. I’m not even embarrassed that I got help from someone from the island. Greetings from Germany! Appreciate the video
Brilliant video. Worked my way through the stages and found the broken plastic part. I’ve super glued it for a quick fix but will order the part just in case it goes again.
Had exactly same fault with BEKO dryer. Superb video. thank you. Saved me a lot of time and money Only took around 30 minutes to swap out and managed to get replacement (genuine) part from eBay £3.59 !
OMG Thank you so much for this video! Ours packed in and we were at a loss as were thinking we would just have to buy a new one as a repairman would cost us a fortune, and would it be worth it? Instead I found this video and bought the light guide for about £5 on Amazon. Hubby, who is not very good at DYI, followed this video step by step and we now have our dryer working! Very, very grateful! PS we used 3 different coloured permanent markers to mark the plugs - brilliant idea to mark them!
Thank you so much. Just fixed our Beko DCU6130W tumble dryer using your video. This model is even easier because no chip in the light guide panel to remove. Feeling epic ha ha 👍
Honestly, I currently have mine bodged with a metal picture hook and a bit of foam and it works a treat 😂 but I do now have the proper part on the way and I wouldn’t have known how easy it was if it wasn’t for the first minute of the video showing me the part, cheers pal, looking forward to the proper fix being in place! 😂
Many thanks Ultimate Handyman, your instructions were absolutely spot on. I never thought it would be possible for me to fix our tumble dryer. You saved me the cost to get it professionally fixed or indeed buy a new one. Brilliant!
Thanks for the info, followed your info this morning, took me 25 minutes, looked harder than it was especially removing the damage part , very useful thanks again
Thank you for this! I’ve just followed your video and sorted my tumble dryer. I was so worried I’d mess up but your video was very clear and easy to follow along. I feel so proud of myself lol. Thank you once again!!!!
Thank you so much for this brilliant video - having never done anything like this before I successfully fixed my dryer and saved myself a few quid in the process. Super easy to follow, clear and comprehensive. Thank you very much!
Can't thank you enough. I detest DIY, and have no confidence in tackling these jobs...but, it's fixed! Managed to repair the button / spring with the glue gun, so might not even need the replacement frame (less than a fiver, btw). Really grateful. Thank you!
Just wanted to say a big thank you, you have just saved me the cost of a new tumble dryer. Followed your super clear instructions and sorted the problem first time. You got yourself another subscriber and I'll be sure to recommend you to my friends and colleagues. Is there anything better than sticking it to the corporations - I don't think so!! Thanks again.
Mine had same problem, ordered part off Ebay which got delivered following day, thought I would have a go at fixing it myself, I was a bit weary as I marked the parts 1,2,3 & 4 but they got smudged so I was hoping & praying I put them back in the right place, it's working so I'm guessing I did, thanks for this it was so easy to follow.
What a fabulous video. I have a slightly different model but followed these instructions and ended up ok. Messed up the power connectors but went back looked again and everything sorted. thank you.
I think this is the best result I've ever found on the Internet. Thanks for posting. Just fixed mine using your post. Saved me a few hundred quid. Thanks!
Brilliantly helpful. I mended mine and would have had to have bought a new one without this. Cost me less than a tenner and took me 30 minutes to mend. Perfect. Thanks.
Thank you Ultrahandyman! My partner & I fixed ours this morning by following your video. It was much easier with two people - especially for the fiddly bits but took quite a while anyway because our machine had sooooooo munch fluff gathered everywhere that had to be removed! Thank you for the easy to follow guide :-)
Fixed mine with ease. Fab guide. Clear steps to follow and some tips along the way. Thank you. Just deciding whether to list all my white goods so that you can bring a series out just for me!
This was brilliant! Thanks, saved me no end of money. Only problem I had was that I managed to snap off two of the old beige clips on the bottom of the PCB holder, not a big issue as the remaining two were fine, but I certainly think time, heat and my novice ability contributed. Yours is slightly different to mine as I only have two buttons, so there was a small connector that wasn’t present and my light guide is smaller. Looks like they were designed with redundancy for varying models in the range. Anyway, thanks, this was a great help!
If anyone has trouble with the 4 power connectors, this might help.

Hi, can you confirm if right and left is looking down at the top of the connectors or looking at the connectors from the front where they connect
i burned two main fuses because of not taking a picture of it...damnit..
I coloured them all (plugs and connector) with different coloured Sharpies just so there would be no confusion
Thank you for your helps. I fixed my dryer and fantastic guidance.
I'm a complete DIY novice and after seeing this video I felt confident enough to give it a bash. My family thought it hilarious that I was attempting to fix anything but guess who's laughing now! The dryer is fixed! Thanks buddy.

Superb video. thank you. Saved me a lot of time and money

Fantastic video. Very clear. A £3.50 part, a screwdriver and half an hour is all you need!
Glad it helped 👍
OMG Thank you so much for this video! Ours packed in and we were at a loss as were thinking we would just have to buy a new one as a repairman would cost us a fortune, and would it be worth it? Instead I found this video and bought the light guide for about £5 on Amazon. Hubby, who is not very good at DYI, followed this video step by step and we now have our dryer working! Very, very grateful! PS we used 3 different coloured permanent markers to mark the plugs - brilliant idea to mark them!
I'm glad the video helped ;-)

Thank you so much. Just fixed our Beko DCU6130W tumble dryer using your video. This model is even easier because no chip in the light guide panel to remove. Feeling epic ha ha 👍
Brilliant, well done 👍
Honestly, I currently have mine bodged with a metal picture hook and a bit of foam and it works a treat 😂 but I do now have the proper part on the way and I wouldn’t have known how easy it was if it wasn’t for the first minute of the video showing me the part, cheers pal, looking forward to the proper fix being in place! 😂
Many thanks Ultimate Handyman, your instructions were absolutely spot on. I never thought it would be possible for me to fix our tumble dryer. You saved me the cost to get it professionally fixed or indeed buy a new one. Brilliant!
Glad it helped, well done for having a go yourself ;-)

Excellent video. Just repaired a dc7112w start button with a new light guide. Even marked the spade connectors.

Can't thank you enough. I detest DIY, and have no confidence in tackling these jobs...but, it's fixed! Managed to repair the button / spring with the glue gun, so might not even need the replacement frame (less than a fiver, btw). Really grateful. Thank you!
👍

I think this is a common fault, although I can't complain as my drier is about 8 years old!
Thanks for the comment 👍
Do you remember the right places by any chance? Smudged mine and having the same problem!
Thank you 🙌 by the power of TH-cam I’ve fixed another appliance and saved a small fortune ❤

Brilliant thanks. I just fixed the broken button. Your video has saved us some pennies!

Glad it helped

This was brilliant! Thanks, saved me no end of money. Only problem I had was that I managed to snap off two of the old beige clips on the bottom of the PCB holder, not a big issue as the remaining two were fine, but I certainly think time, heat and my novice ability contributed. Yours is slightly different to mine as I only have two buttons, so there was a small connector that wasn’t present and my light guide is smaller. Looks like they were designed with redundancy for varying models in the range. Anyway, thanks, this was a great help!
