Harry Heck has to be one of the most unique villains I've ever seen in a movie. A Johnny Cash style hitman who sings you a song before killing you? Brilliant.
He was a lone hitman. What he does either works quick or it doesn't. Castle knew he was a real threat and had to end it quickly or be ended. No, the movie got it right. One of the coolest parts to appear in any movie albeit short.
It was worse than had Harry just brought the gun out of the case. It was a quick sigh of relief, followed by the most haunting lyrics that might as well been a gun.
I first watched this movie as a teenager with my father. This scene along with the Russian fight playing La Donna E Mobile are iconic and forever engraved in my mind. Whenever I touch a guitar I find myself singing this song 🤯
@@nxblnxbl man, that...was a banger of a dis. Hall OF Fame... Was that just you, or a research team filled with the Greatest Comedic Minds of this last century? Don't know enough to care.
I'd say Castle has seen the movie "Desperado" once or twice. A man with a guitar case walks in and Frank gets his gun ready, not even the guys in Desperado weren't that quick to react
0DarkEagle if someone send a hitman to kill me,i would ask him as a last wish that he sing this song for me and then kill me,or if a have a knife that shoots the blade i maybe can get out ot there
0DarkEagle and i wish that i can get a chance to say "i will sing this in your funeral" to someone...one day maybe...i will try to be a hitman then i go there to sing to you...is that ok?
This dude went the extra mile and actually wrote that song for Frank! No ones written a song for me lol, if someone did, I’d say it’s a fair trade if they killed me after performing it to me. 😂👍🏼
What a powerful way to portray harry heck. One of the shortest run characters and I love the johnny cash spin they put on him. But Damm this was one of the most memorable moments in cinema for me.
I think it would be a great wrestling gimmick if they had someone like this who sang to their opponents like this before they got in the ring with them.
What a fabulous scene....from the "who the hell is he"..to Frank going for the gun as he opens the case....then the guitar come out, battered...a sign of an accomplished player (the actor plays this guitar elsewhere on youtube). Then the upward strum to start us off....that stare throughout, with just a bit of head movement due to strumming but that stare doesn't break..Johnny Cash like look and feel next....Frank weighing him up. Lyrics so on point for this point in the movie. Franks neighbours are like..."what the fuck"...."I will play it at your funeral"...hard line...wasn't to be. A flawed movie in places...but darn good overall. This bit was epic. Want that song to go on for four like 4 mins. There is a version of the actor playing it on youtube which has more verses. I really hope he wrote them. I' sure he did. Respect. Just not the same as the tension when its dropped into the film. I so want to go and learn this on guitar now. Great writing musically and film wise. great three minutes..and the song..is one minute and yet do so good..
This is the best version of the punisher ever Thomas Jane is an absolute boss in this. John Barenthol is also a damn good punisher too, but just this movie was a damn good action movie. I hope marvel doesn't take this one too an reboot it, with the focus on punisher being a woman, trapped in a transgender man's body, an he's just angry coz he's gay lover is working for Colombian Vogue magazine as a gay undercover drug dealer.
I'd be more afraid of that cigarette that keeps teleporting from his right hand to his mouth and back again while his hands are busy pulling out that Gibson Satan!
Harry heck and frank almost seem to have a mutal respect for each other. Frank we both know how this has to end you ready? Heck: oh ive been ready frank...can you say the same?

That's Mark Collie, he's a musician in real life!
I kinda feel like this is a character that could have carried a whole movie as the villain
*should

Agreed.
Agree
Maybe they bring him back in the new punisher series
My favorite thing about this movie. An assassin Johnny Cash. Bad ass, man.
The guys a wannabe FAKE.
Can't even invent HIMSELF and stand on his OWN PERSONA.
So he's gotta try to copy Johnny's.
Bullshit.
So are you.

its mark collie
With black fingernail polish lol
Mark collie is an amazing singer & his acting is great too!!
Yes, a very impressive and convincing person.
The disturbed look Thomas Jane has on his face while hes singing that song is gold.
It was worse than had Harry just brought the gun out of the case. It was a quick sigh of relief, followed by the most haunting lyrics that might as well been a gun.
Hunter Chacon YES!!!
What a beautiful guitar. Gibson J-200
I’d be so scared to take it out of the case. Especially with harsh Canadian winters.

Whenever I touch a guitar I find myself singing this song 🤯
Great character prematurely wasted.
I love how he plays the guitar with the cigarette still in his hand.
How else can you sing while smoking?
What I found real terrifying about this guy is that he walks in a diner, sits down, doesn't order anything, plays a song and leaves.
He probably knows the quality of the food, smart man
Yeah....he must be a Tik-Tokker

Don't know enough to care.
You mean the whole point of the scene..
One of the best declaration of war in the whole action movie universe.
Love the Moment when Harry start playing the guitar
Harry heck is underrated
The song itself is a weapon.
When I first watched this scene I had major shivers. 😁
The ambient sounds are fantastic.
Harry Heck was the real star of this film. I wish they would have developed this character more in a prequel as an anti hero assassin.
Feels like a good old Western film.
I don't care what anybody says. That's one bad ass showdown right there...
"you like that song? I wrote that for you"
“I’m gonna sing it at your funeral.”
@@kenjic6083Harry Hecks last warning. Not knowing that the potential victim is killing him soon by surprise...
2023, still a kick-ass song
Epic scene 😔
Fucking love that song. I want that sung at my own funeral.
Mark Collie is on Landman as Sheriff
I'd say Castle has seen the movie "Desperado" once or twice. A man with a guitar case walks in and Frank gets his gun ready, not even the guys in Desperado weren't that quick to react
his style...
Harry Hick had a smoke in his mouth and hand during part of the scene
man i really loved that movie, hoped for the sequel with Jane..
duks1111 would have been great
duks1111 watch the punisher dirty laundry
Justin Q watch the punisher dirty laundry

Todo un caballero 🤣
Tremenda escena!
This movie is so good and you wanna know how you know its good? by its rewatchability.
A melhor cena, um dos mlrs filmes de herói que já vi.
Thats a damn nice song!
Epic. Best scene of movie
Bro doesn't realize he's singing a song to the most badass person in the world.
Absolutely love this song!!
No me acordaba lo épica que es esa escena.
The tension of scene!
One of the coolest scenes in a movie.
Everyone knows what the tear drop tattoo means?......Yes??
This movie came out when I was 13 and I remember that this character had always interested me. Something about him is really dark but cool.
Mark collie was a good country music singer in the early 90s
The best Movie ever for me :)
Harry Heck needed his own movie
god i want to learn to play that song
Thomas Jane - best Punisher.
I think it would be a great wrestling gimmick if they had someone like this who sang to their opponents like this before they got in the ring with them.
joe kerr Elias already does this
Jeff jarrett.
Punisher: What da heck?
Harry: It's me, Harry Heck.
What kind of hitman serenades and introduces himself to his target?! 😂🎶
The Harry Heck type, I guess 😂😂
I honestly think Harry Heck would have sent a chill up Thanos' spine for at least one brief moment.
Esta escena es epica
Who is here after seeing msrk collie on landman
Breakfast looks good
Enjoying this song with a fine cigar and a a few glasses of 1792 bourbon. I want this song played at my Funeral when I die

'I'm gonna sing it at your funeral'
And I thought Tommy Norris was scary but I realize Manuel was way more scared of the Sheriff - Harry Heck…
I have thought about him holding his cigarette in his pinky finger for 20 years now…
I had a dream that K.K. Slider came into a diner and sang this to me while playing a guitar, and then left.
I had a similar dream…weird!
He didnt need the teardrop ong

Brilliant Acting!!!
Got to be awake to hear it
Good guy Harry Heck, he sings a song to his victims before killing them.
Yeah if he’s going to make his living taking out targets, he’s gonna enjoy it however he can heh
Excellent!
I do this before i have a präsentation in university ;-)
What? Bringing a gun to a knife fight?
great.
If someone wanted me dead and the hit man did this before killing me, I'd be okay with that
So cool.
One of my favourite scenes, but Mr.Heck is a leek in the movie. ;-)
You didn't just bring a piano to a guitar fight.
goddamn the commercials
Play. It. At my Funeral . 🤷🏽♂️
if this dude came to kill me i would actually clap after the song even knowing ill die
