- Hello everyone, today I'm back fishing, at one of my favorite spots, the Hammond welcome Center. I found quite a few bass on beds. I usually don't have good luck fishing bass on beds but I was able to capitalize on one in this video. I think I'll be back to target those bass later on.

Nice catches! I tried there last fall. I’ll have to give it another shot. I had no luck with beds this year, but I’ll keep trying. You gave me some hope. 😂
Yeah I usually don't have success bed fishing. But what I did learn is you have to annoy the fish enough for them to strike lol. It took me awhile to get these fish to bite. I love that lake it has big fish and that's where I caught my PB.
i was just riding my bike over there yesterday..didnt know if there were even any
fish in that lake.. it used to be the optimist club back 25 years ago and then they drained
it and i guess there are some nice fish in there...
Thank you for your comment. That's awesome I've only been in Hammond for about 12 years so I thought that's how it's always been. Yes there are some really big fish in there. I caught my PB largemouth last year in that lake.

Ok I remember the Optimus club, I fished there once must be more than 25 years ago didn’t catch catch anything.

My fishing days are over. I fished that lake before you were born. I wish I could. Lol
