Health reasons have kept me off the river this year so watching your videos have been a way of keeping in touch with the passage of Spring and Summer. Thanks ever so much.
Thank you very much, Davie, I always enjoy watching your fishing excursions! Some beautiful fish there, kind Sir, I will be tying along with you over the winter, and fishing in the Spring is only 'round the corner. Thanks again. Cheers for a great season, and Happy Samhain! 😉👏👏🎃🎣
Great season of your fishing trips Davie. Thank you so much for producing many hours of entertainment. It will be a long closed season without your trips. Tight lines
Thank you for taking us on your fishing trips this year. It has been a long winter here in Tasmania, so I have really enjoyed the opportunity to see you fish the Doon. I’ve not seen the Doon for a couple of decades. Our season opened on 3 August and then effectively shut down again for four weeks while the Roaring 40s hit the island with high winds, rain, snow and floods. We are just getting going again, and the first few duns are braving the cool conditions.
Thanks Davie thoroughly enjoyed your video. As you said its been a strange season, without many rising fish on the upper Clyde. Its hard to believe my 66th season is at an end already. Anyway heres to my 67th. Stay safe and well, Big Davie
Great time finishing the brown trout season with you Davie. Ours closes tomorrow also. We will get some catch and release on a few select rivers this winter which I always bundle up for and get a few hours of winter peace and solitude. Tight lines, Andy
Hi Neil, Sorry to read that you have been unwell but I hope that you are getting better and getting out to fish sooner than later..I'm glad you enjoyed the video.. All the very best Davie
Hi Davy another superb video roll on next season, a wee fly tying question, any tips on how to keep my superglue fluid and useable, it always thickens up on me no matter how tight I close the bottle caps.
Hi John, Most times there's nothing you can do but keeping the lid closed for a couple of days can sometimes bring it back , putting it in the fridge does help it from going off too..I'm glad you enjoyed the video.. All the very best Davie
Thanks to your suggestions Mr.McP, my wife bought me the coffee grinder last Christmas to blend my own dubbing rather than mixing our coffee beans with a pinch of hares ear and UV ice dub …this year I’ve asked for a mini fridge for my super glue 😂 a big thank you for all your brown trout great videos this season ( tyings and river outings) …I always look forward to them and learn something helpful from every one…all the best to you and yours
Hi @susannahnikkixx, It's High N Dry Liquid floatant which I put into a small spray bottle I had, a friend let me have some to try and it works really well..I normally use Mucillin though it was only 7 degrees and my hands were cold and the cream was a bit hard.. All the very best Davie
