I appreciate the advice. I usually use my inflatable boat which I can pretty much put anywhere. But since they had the option of a kayak at the cabin I took it lol I have a lot of respect for the kayak fisherman it's a lot of work.

Hi, thank you so much for commenting. I am largely a bass fisherman. I catch a lot of largemouth bass like the one in the video. I've also caught small mouth bass. A very fun fish to catch. I have also caught crappie, sunfish, channel catfish, carp, bowfin, drum, and Flathead catfish. The Kastking Royal Legend glory has been very good for me. I really recommend it with the ugly stik carbon. Mine is a 4000 series and it has been working very well for me. Thank you for the support.

For bass it's been Great. I always recommend you get the bigger reel size because you can use it for carp bass and pan fishing. It's done very well for me. The drag is pretty smooth as well. The rod is sensitive. It's a strong rod even for Medium power. With this combo I caught bass from 3lbs to really small dinks. I really recommend both reel and rod. Thank you for commenting

@@nwifishing5228 Have you caught any large carp on it? My lake has some pretty huge carp in it and I don’t want my rod to snap lol

I personally haven't but I am pretty sure you won't have any problems. Just fight the fish and don't try to muscle the fish in. I think it'll be fine

Thank you for commenting. I think it's a good reel. It's held up very well. It seems to be durable at least for me. I've dropped it in the water multiple times and it seems to be working just like new. Both the Sharky III and the Royal Legend glory have been really good for me. I would highly recommend both.

My honest opinion for the rod, I give it 4 stars. It's stiffer than other telescoping rods, but I keep having to mess with the floating guide. Every other cast I have to readjust that floating guide. It could get annoying after a while. The reel on the other hand is fantastic. Overall it gets the job done and I would recommend it. I am considering getting another one of the Blackhawk II rods just in case mine is a one of. But we'll see.

That's awesome I'm glad you didn't get skunked lol. Yeah it is difficult to fish from the bank. Seems like it's better suited for boat fishing. And it doesn't help that we can't use all the arms with hooks.

@@nwifishing5228 I totally understand your gesture, I fish in both IL and IN. To me the whole point of fishing is finding spots on our own and throwing some casts seeing what’s in there. People will take advantage of these areas and over fish it or just be greedy and throw cast nets late at night/early morning and ruin it. Not just that, but Everytime I go to diff spots I always take a empty grocery bag with me because I clean up what other leave. People have no respect but I love watching your videos btw bro

Hey thank you for your comment. I'm primarily a bass fisherman. I honestly fish for anything that bites. I did a river fishing video a year ago where I catch a couple of bowfin. I've tried to target other species but I only seem to catch largemouth and small mouth lol which I'm happy with. I do intend to go river fish this year, hopefully soon

It's the Intex Excursion 2. It's been a great boat. I like it because you can put it anywhere. The only thing is that it's hard to use it in cold weather. Also stay clear of metal objects in the water. The boat itself is very durable but since it's an inflatable it can very easily get pierced. You also don't really need a powerful trolling motor. We build a platform from plywood and attach the seats to it. It's been pretty sturdy.

Yeah, same here. I don't feel like I'm very good at fishing, but the little ones help you take the skunk off so they're super important lol

Yeah I usually don't have success bed fishing. But what I did learn is you have to annoy the fish enough for them to strike lol. It took me awhile to get these fish to bite. I love that lake it has big fish and that's where I caught my PB.

That's awesome enjoy it. My family really likes that place. I used an all metal fishing lure. But if I could do it again I would take a rooster tail. The guy I was talking to in the video was using a popper as well. I would stick to smaller lures for more success! Good luck

Yeah they have a lot of quality Largemouth and Smallies in there. There's lots of sun fish too. Yeah I personally don't like eating fish but I agree my bro should definitely test that water.

Thank you for your comment. Bowfin are one of my favorite fish to catch. They fight really hard and are very powerful fish. They also taste really good. I'm not a big fan of fish but bowfin taste good. Yeah there are some huge snapping turtles in there. I wasn't able to pull him out once he dug his feet in lol.

Hi thank you for your question. Yes I really do. I love that the color matches really well. It's a really smooth reel and I can cast out decently far. I also feel like you really get very good feedback from the line thru the Ugly stik rod. There are two things that I don't really like that much. 1: the rod is not as stiff as I would like it to be. I personally prefer stiff rods. 2: I feel like this combo is a little heavy. When I pick up my Speed Demon pro rod and speed demon elite reel combo and compare it to the ugly stik carbon and royal legend glory combo there is a big difference in weight. But I still love it and would definitely recommend it. So if you're on the fence just go ahead and buy it and try it yourself. You won't be disappointed.
