I agree 100%. It's refreshing to be able to buy a bike that's NOT loaded down with all the extras. Not everybody wants to pay for all that extra stuff. Some people act like "standard equipment" is thrown in for free. No dummies, that increases the price of the bike. Let the guys who want those extras buy the next model up.
I love everything about my 2021 Street Bob in Deadwood Green. I have the laced chrome spokes. They give the bike that classic American cruiser vibe. I also added forward controls, an H-D solo seat, Cobra Neighbor Haters, LED bullet lights and mustache engine guards. She’s a real beauty!
I love everything about the bike except the tank capacity. A bigger tank takes nothing away from what it's all about but gives you a much more useable range. Will be my first mod.
It is not even the best looking tank. Kinda looks like it was an afterthought. Not sure if I would want the fatbob tanks with a tank mount clock look but the extra fuel capacity will become a must as more gas stations close.
I bought a new 22’ Street Bob 114 last month, because it’s the lightest of the big twins. Excellent handling, better than my old 2007 Dyna Street Bob 96. Thank you for putting it out there. Think of it as the old Sportster 1200 replacement. Plenty power and no reason not travel, tour with it. There is a electronic cruise control from Harley Davidson.
Finally someone on YT that is speaking sense! I 100% agree with you. So many LRS videos on YT and comparing the SB saying it needs this and that. If they had the same specs it would be the same bike. I try not to watch Videos on the LRS anymore there is just so many. The SB is the better bike in looks and everything imo. 👍
I agree in your viewpoint, Jawn. The bike is what it is. The factory makes different models for different tastes and requirements. It isnt a GSXR 1000; no NEED for inverted forks or massive brake power. The setup on the bike is fine. Don't need a 6 gallon gas tank! I don't tour with a group of Gold Wings. (No offense to the GW). I LIKE the little gauge; speedo and fuel level. Less things to break too. The Street Bob had some paint and styling differences from on of my favorite bikes; the Softail Standard. I liked the bright finishes and gloss black paint. It is like the Street Bob just a cool bike to top off the tank and just ride. It's your bike. It has to only satisfy one person. The owner. Ride safe.
Absolutely nailed it with this. If I wanted a high performance cruiser I would’ve gotten the low rider s but I want a low slung bobber with comfort so I went with the street bob. The stupidest argument is the price one, “for what you’re paying it should have this this and this” well the low rider s is more expensive for a reason…
I have a 21 and I absolutely love my bike. I have modded it cosmetically to my liking. The gators on the forks look tough IMO, and I love them. I completely agree that it could use a bigger tank. When riding distances with the homies, I feel like shit about all the extra stops I gotta make. But apart from that, I love my bike. I want forward controls, but I haven't found any I like. They all look janky and like they just won't last. If anyone can recommend any high end, chunky forward controls that are available in black, please let me know. As far as people that tell you what your bike needs, how would they know. It's YOUR bike. When talking to another rider about their bike, the old saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" applies 100% of the time. If a person asks for your opinion, that is a different story, but people build their bikes to suit their needs and wants. Apply your thoughts to your bike, and just keep on keeping on!! I am going to begin building up my motor here in the very near future. New rims and tires and then beef up the motor time. #streetbobmob #fxbbsyes
I’m debating this bike, as my first bike; I”m tall and need forwards controls, which is hard to find on the “other”bikes…its a bit more than i wanted to spend…still contemplating.
I'm 66 years old and a Harley Bagger guy but I bought a 2023 Street Bob 114 in August 23 over here in South Korea where I live and work and I absolutely LOVE it! I got my first Harley in 75 on my 18th birthday and have been riding Harley's ever since. It was an AMF Harley Davidson Sportster 1000. I always wanted another Sportster but they are just too small for me at 6'2 and 230lbs. My other two bikes back in the US are a 2012 Harley Street Glide and a 2004 Big Dog custom (Bulldog Model). So I call my Street Bob my "Big Guy" Sportster. It has lots of power and torque too, so hold on if you jump on one and are used to riding older model Harley's.
I have a 2019 Street Bob that I bought used. There are forward controls on it that I really like. The main thing that I hate is that cheap uncomfortable seat they put on it. That is my only big complaint on it.
One thing I learned about other riders that talk down on another bike that not comfortable to them. Most riders aren't in the best shape to enjoy these types of bikes they need the extras for comfort for them.
Hi, I completely agree with you; I have a Street Bob 107 (FXBB) and I really like it, it's too powerful and safe for me and I also think it shouldn't be any different than it is.
I mean…… I allegedly do an average 105-115mph daily on the freeway and rip corners with the gsxrs, all stock currently but want more power. Sick ass bike(coming from a former gsxr 1000 guy)

This was my first Harley and first bike since 2012. this bike is rowdy and is fun. I like the minimalist bobber approach, this is what pulled me in. The one thing I love as dumb as it is, is they put a USB port lmao. "This is the most HD bike that HD has ever come out with"
I heard it's hard to see the guage in the sunlight, not Shure about those little brake lights, have to change the uncomfortable seat, lower the shifter, put in a s&s 475 cam to give it some power and speed
Great video. I bought the street bob for the stripped down look and feel. If I go on a longer trip I slap a gas bottle to the sissy bar. Brakes work fine on the lighter bike. Handling is great.
Okay, I know I'm a little late commenting on this post but I need to throw in my 2 cents worth here. I own the 2021 SB and I've thrown quite a few mods at it but that's what makes it mine and it still doesn't look like the LRS. My 114 was crap off the showroom floor and after we figured out what was wrong with it I ended up with a 122 ci. for less than 400 bucks out the door. The rear brakes on the SB suck and you can easily overpower the traction of the front tire with the single rotor setup. My solution was adding the Arlen Ness 6 piston differential bore caliper and bracket to the rear wheel. You can easily screw up with this setup but in combination with the single front rotor you now have reduced braking distance comparable to twin front rotors and it looks bad ass. Just my first hand opinion on this subject.
I agree with you 💯 I rode a street bob at last year's Harley test ride day. I loved the bobber 114. Smooth and powerful, felt lighter than my sportster.
Yeah I would say just depends on your style they're both great. The lrs with 117 is definitely worth it I would say. But if you like the street Bob look better. Go for it

Think it's a very good take on the difference between the two, and very helpful with me deciding between the two!! But yes I think I'm leaning towards the low rider S because of the bigger engine, better ride and bigger tank. Happy to pay the difference. But I do think the streetbob looks slightly better
Has the only tech I care about available and that’s cruise control. The only reason I’m willing to put up with throttle by wire is cruise . Harley nailed it in that it doesn’t have distracting amounts of electronics just what you actually use 👍

Yup, Thats not how manufacterers make money. They give features to meet price points to attract certain buyers. Like you and this bike. It suits you. Others jump down the Harley rabbit hole and start "upgrading". The one I can NEVER get is buying a brand new Harley and putting a engine kit on it and then having to get a tuner etc. etc. Nothing wrong with adding some personalization but better off making sure what you buy is what you want as you have pointed out.
Good video. You are spot on with the exception of the fuel tank. I had a 5 gallon tank on my 2016 Street Bob. Much nicer for daily commuting. A game change on the open road. Harley missed the mark there. Take care.
I agree with you that that is what the streetbob is about . In 2019 I chose a Slim over the streetbob because it had what l wanted. This year l brought the you hated the Nightster Special. I love both bike for different reasons. I now have the Slim set up mainly for touring with Wilbur's suspension and a tour pack . Except for fuel range and storage. The Nightster Special is capable of doing big miles in comfort and out performing the Slim in ever way . Even 2000km in 2 days on it with 5 other Harleys. Outrun all of them and used less fuel.
It wouldn't have the bobber feel with an ugly large tank and huge gauges. Its stripped down to get that feel. There are other models to move up to with everything you want.

And I wish the mid controls were just a couple inches forward, don't want forward controls because the bike is a blast to ride aggressively in the twisties but it feels a little cramped.
Nope. I love the Street Bob exactly as it is. Stripped down and simple. I look at it like a big Sportster. I would consider one as a second bike for boppin around town.

I'd say in terms of size and weight, it could be a good starter fit. The 114 M8 engine is no joke though, and must be respected. I would not have ridden this if I was a beginner.
As a counterargument, the price between the Lowrider S and the ST is literal thousands and the only difference is a fairing and saddlebags. So while you may have to add shit to the S it will almost certainly end up being cheaper than factory customization of the ST. I also have a '22 Street Bob and would much rather add aftermarket parts that I choose myself than let Harley put what they think is cool on the bike then tax me like crazy for it.
I wouldn’t call the the Street Bob a muscle or performance cruiser. It’s more of a bobber/chopper hybrid. Stripped down, laidback, everything you need nothing you don’t cruiser. The Fat Bob is more of a muscle or performance cruiser minus the performance. A wolf in sheep’s clothing if you will. Your true Power cruisers are the Rocket 3, X Diavel, M109R, V-Max, V-Rod, FTR 1200 and the Sportster S.
I agree 100%. Not trolling and I promise I mean this with all due respect regarding your thoughtful videos… Since it is a bobber possibly lose the ugly garbage can lid faring and the rear mounted child’s travel duffel bag. And get a backpack if you need to carry anything. I love the Street Bob. You don’t have to build it up like the ST. Unless that’s what you want. And if you want one, get it!! As you say. It’s a Bobber. Stripped down. Naked. Don’t put tighty whiteys on it.
OMG DUDE!!! Get to the point. I just dont like the rubber boot over the front suspension. Otherwise a great looking bike. I still gave you a thumbs up.
Lookin good 👍 I like the SB, love the LRS. And I could care less about popularity, other than the online community there aren’t too many LRS riders in my area… although I see PLENTY of baggers!
Dude, it’s your bike, do to it what makes you happy & stop listening to all the nonsense on the internet as it’s perfect the way it is. Street Bob is the best bang for the $ and the LRS is way too expensive imo. Enjoy your ride & stay safe!
Harley Davidson makes other models with the features these people are looking for. Buy those bikes. That said, get away from my FXBBS!!! ( I do have minor changes planned)
my friend has a 22 street bob and got it converted from the 114 to a 122. unbelievable how much fun it is even before the 122. I just picked up a 22 lowrider s and i couldn’t agree with you more if you want performance get the lowrider if you want to cruise get the street bob @themotojawn
The difference between the low rider s and the street Bob is 9 hp and 6 pound feet of torque. The difference in price is close to 2k USD. If you take that 2k and upgrade the exhaust on a street bob, not only does it sound better than a stock lowrider S, but you'll have more hp. Everything is subjective. Nothing worse than riding a Harley with a stock exhaust IMO. They sound like a sewing machine.

"Great bike as it is...so I put a fairing, seat, backrest, and luggage on it, because it would have sucked if it came that way from the factory!" ;)
Gotta leave room for your own modifications too 😂
As a counterargument, the price between the Lowrider S and the ST is literal thousands and the only difference is a fairing and saddlebags. So while you may have to add shit to the S it will almost certainly end up being cheaper than factory customization of the ST. I also have a '22 Street Bob and would much rather add aftermarket parts that I choose myself than let Harley put what they think is cool on the bike then tax me like crazy for it.
Makes sense to me when you put it in that perspective of course I’m just starting to ride at age 43 what do I know
I wouldn’t call the the Street Bob a muscle or performance cruiser.
Mini muscle cruiser
AND it's built as strongly as those pieces of bridge (8:32), LIKE A BRIDGE
I agree 100%. Not trolling and I promise I mean this with all due respect regarding your thoughtful videos… Since it is a bobber possibly lose the ugly garbage can lid faring and the rear mounted child’s travel duffel bag. And get a backpack if you need to carry anything. I love the Street Bob. You don’t have to build it up like the ST. Unless that’s what you want. And if you want one, get it!!
As you say. It’s a Bobber. Stripped down. Naked. Don’t put tighty whiteys on it.
What brand and model is the bag on your bike?
@@DOCFWH company called t-bags kind of old not sure if they're still out there
@@TheMotoJawn OK. Thanks very much.
What if you only want a bigger tank and like everything else about the street bob
Guess that's still pretty bobberish
You can put a 5 gallon tank on it. I did the tank swap on my 21 Street Bob. Easy mod.
But I do agree one hundred percent what you said about the bike
You are absolutely correct. TH-cam needed this video
💯💯💯
I thought it was a pretty solid bike to customize the crap out of....you're saying I'm wrong?!
Nah I'm saying if you expect those things on a bobber from the factory YOU'RE WRONG 😂😂
OMG DUDE!!! Get to the point.
I just dont like the rubber boot over the front suspension. Otherwise a great looking bike.
I still gave you a thumbs up.
It’s your bike. YOU are correct. Enjoy your ride.
👍👍👍
Great comments. 👍 Enjoy the road.
How do u like the vent roadwarrior fairing
It's pretty good I think the vents help cut the wind more
I just bought a street bob last night i want to put a fairing on it im 5'9" whats a good size
I would say very short or really high. Not in between. That will hit you right in the head
@@TheMotoJawn that makes good sense thank you I appreciate it also I'm a new subscribe just started watching a lot of your videos
@4life215 right on thanks for stopping by!
100pct right.. It's outfitted like it should be. Want all the other stuff then move up.
True 💯
Lookin good 👍
I like the SB, love the LRS. And I could care less about popularity, other than the online community there aren’t too many LRS riders in my area… although I see PLENTY of baggers!
Too many baggers out there lol
It’s 50 bucks. Get a black gas cap. I own the same bike 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thinking a about it
Fast forward to 5:00 because all he keeps saying your wrong for the first 5 minutes of the video.
You can’t call it a Bob when you have more parts than a standard softtail.
True standard might be even more stripped down
Dude, it’s your bike, do to it what makes you happy & stop listening to all the nonsense on the internet as it’s perfect the way it is. Street Bob is the best bang for the $ and the LRS is way too expensive imo. Enjoy your ride & stay safe!
Right on 🤟
Harley Davidson makes other models with the features these people are looking for.
Buy those bikes. That said, get away from my FXBBS!!! ( I do have minor changes planned)
Meh....once you put a fairing on it, it's no longer a bobber.
Well.....Ya aint wrong!
😂😂
You should remove the windscreen. It would look a lot better. That is just too big and destroyed the look and the character of the bike.
It is detachable
Windscreen means , I like to ride fast . IFKYK
Don’t knock it before you try it function over form
Personal preference, maybe keep the negativity to yourself next time 🤷🏻♂️
i think it looks really good buddy, eat my nuts
When people start talking about it needs this and that they should just get the Lowrider
Nice bike my man.
Thank you sir 🙏
love youre video, agree everything you said, please don't take half the video to get to the point. ❤
You repeatedly refer to keeping it a bobber but fail to realise the screen YOU fitted is definitely NOT a bobber look.
my friend has a 22 street bob and got it converted from the 114 to a 122. unbelievable how much fun it is even before the 122.
Those breaks are great
He took half the time apologizing and hopefully not to offend people. The most offensive part is it took him half a vdo to start addressing the subject….
My apologies 😂
I got the same bike love it
Niiiiiice 🔥
Too expensive still
That is a fact either way 😂
Bigger tires for sure...
Can you do a review on your sissy bar
