Hello, is there any land close to the beach like the video for sale?
We used to live there. The great thing is there are guys on bikes and scooters everyday that sell fruit n veggies, or fish, and tortillas. You get to know their sounds . I really miss it .
My kinda spot :)
Were is this
Why did you leave?
this is beautiful ❤
Sure
JUST WHEN PEOPLE THOUGHT THEY WOULD HAVE TO START LIVING ON THE STREET IN THE U.S., THEY FIND OUT THEY CAN LIVE ON THE OCEAN IN MEXICO WITH A ROOF OVER THEIR HEAD🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
But they don't get the free stuff. Shucks.
amen
@arielsea9087 with the good Mexican price who needs the free stuff?
@@nomorebs6025 Exactly
This isn't good for the Mexicans as it makes the rents go up for them.
Simple life = Happy life in Mexico 🇲🇽
Yes.
That was a very nice apartment, and being on the beach like that should keep things cool so she won't have to run the A/C which will keep the electric bill down.
Exactamente :)
Great video! This is exactly how Puerto Morelos used to look just a few years ago before the expat boom. It's not going to be so quiet and sleepy for too much longer. Looks like the area is already under construction.
Wow! We talking soon. I will be there June ( look around) moving in October if not sooner! 😁😊
I knew u would like this
Same! We're visiting in June and moving in October! 🎉
I’m jealous!!!! Keep us all posted on your move!
Wow, this is awesome! This would be thousands to rent in the U.S. what an amazing deal and I love that there is a beach view. Thank you for sharing this.
thanks for watching
😂
Unbelievable. Absolutely manageable 👌🏽👌🏽
🔥🔥🔥
Blows my mind! Makes me reconsider everything I know I want. As a solo person its too remote. I need the city and all it offers, but damn. Damn.
jejeje ... decisions decisions decisions
Wow! Living in Cali i didnt think places like this still existed lol
Absolutely. All over the world (outside of the US). A condo like this in Florida would easily go for $3000+ per month plus association fees
yeh, me too. I'm leaving very soon:)
This is an incredible value. At some point in life, this is the kind of place I see myself living.
Amen
Im mature enough to admit I'm jealous 😢 but Happy for you Sis..please enjoy 😉.
🙌🙌🙌
GREAT VIDEO MY BROTHER 💯
I appreciate it!
If you do move to a foreign country, do not try to change the culture, this is not the one you left behind, do research before you move to area , respect the culture
Great advice
We appreciate you doing what you do thanks for showing us all another way that we can live. Enjoy the coffee ❤👏👏👏👏👏👏
That is so kind of you. I appreciate that. Thank you mucho!
Great video, I appreciate the in depth video of the options in Mexico.
Our pleasure!
This looks amazing!!! This is the dream. Good to know about how to order delivery from the guys on bikes!
Love ur videos!! Please keep me informed. I will be moving to Mayakoba. The south side by Tulum
That place is awesome hopefully they have more like this in the area ready to move in that way selling in America is easy and you just bring yourself love it !!!😊❤❤
❤❤❤
Nice condo with an exceptional location!
Siii
Thanks!
You are too kind. I appreciate it. Gonna grab some fresh shrimp and fish tacos with it. Thank u
I have been going to Mexico for 45 plus years, three to four times yearly...I was a diving instructor and took lots of tours there, especially Cozumel...Rent might be reasonable, but the prices of everything else is very expensive, much than the USA..Before covid, things were still cheap...
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing.
anybody who retires as a renter, thinking theyr gonna live out their lives renting is in for rude awakening. rents go up, usually more than property taxes. if u have membership in a homeowners association, same deal. those escalating fees r what put most seniors living in their cars out there on the streets: rents & fees that surpass their meagre 4%/yr pension cost-0f-living adjustments. at least if ur property taxes go up, u have equity u can capture by selling ur property & moving elsewhere. if u rent all u have is a shoebox fulla rent receipts. if u pay hoa fees, all u have is a property w/ limited market appeal, as most ppl pay extra these days to NOT have hoa fees... this is why all those $75k condos in hawaii r still sitting empty, fees went stratospheric, to the tune of $15k/yr before utilities & property taxes...
Great insight. Thanks for sharing
I keep picturing Booker T the wrestler when he speaks. Their voices are so similar. So cool.
jejeje
The bike we call triciclos nice video my friend lm from yucatan
thank u
The beaches are beautiful in Mexico
I just bought 5 minutes from the beach can't wait
awesome
I want to live there!!!! OMG!!!! Amazing!!! I've just got a couple years left to work and save to retire. It was between Mexico and Vietnam but Mexico has me sold. My Spanish is better than my Vietnamese anyway. LOL
Closer to the US in case u need to get back without losing all the money you saved on airline tickets back to US ... Mexico is awesome
Progresso used to be a cruise ship stop for many cruise lines many years ago,and one of Carnivals favorite,I was on The Celebration over 30 years ago when it made that stop...The town was hopping then, now it has become a ghost town...
I wouldn't call it a ghost town. Cruise lines still come through and they're pretty busy and packed on the weekends especially (and on days when the cruise ships pull into port)
@@MoveAbroadandThrive Yes,it's not a regular port stop like Cozumel and Costa Maya...even the port of Cancun has limited stops now..
It looked nice to me there was other people out. Cruise ships coming all the time would probably make the area too touristy and unaffordable. Like i love costa maya and Cozumel but I’m guessing it’s not affordable to live in any of those cruise ship towns and there’s probably no jobs available that don’t relate to the tourism industry. I think i would really need a good remote job to move there.
@@lexa_power Yes,i have no interest in going to The Yucatan anymore,it has gotten very expensive, have been going there for almost 50 years, every year, sometimes 3-4 times...did a lot of diving...Even Holbox now..
Good morning , what is the exact location please and thank you . I would like to decide right now based on that. Happy Thursday
I want that apartment! It’s PERFECT! Is this area close to Merida?
About 30 minutes
I like it
Thailand condos. Same price but you get much more. And it is much safer.
Wow
But flying home to see family is a real production. Terribly long flights.
Where exactly in Thailand?
I am ready! thnx
Toes in the sand, just walking distance from the unit! Cool!
Ugh, 😢 I want to live there when I retire 🙏🙏
Luv it!!! Hopefully one day, l will get a chance to visit...=)
:)
Oh my goodness this is awesome. I most definitely would like a beachfront rental. Maybe unfurnished
Love it, but I take it...that there's no elevator huh? Where is the washer and dryer...on site?
No elevator.
@@MoveAbroadandThrive Ok. Great exercise I spose. Jajajajaja
Good video! What would you say an average price, for a long term rental, might be for a 1BR in all those various complexes that are right on the beach?
Is it easy or is bus service available? And are there stores nearby?
From watching yr videos wondering if a car is needed.
There are combis and the scooters with front seats . Having a bike is good. They have everything there, but even more in Progreso
Car would be nice. But a bicycle will get you all around that place without any issues. Be in the center of Chicxulub on a bike in under 5 minutes
Owner just told me transport vans/buses pass by condo every 5-10 minutes and take u to the center of Chicxulub (can also take to Progreso)
@@MoveAbroadandThrivehow much does the bus cost? Is it safe for women?
I will be there this Saturday. How do I get your assistance? I love this area
Congratulations 😁😁😁
@that1chocolatechuc728 Unfortunately, you're a bit late 😢 we had to book our June neighborhood tour with him back in March
E-mail us: support@moveabroadandthrive.com
beautiful!!! But definitely need to figure out how to get a car down there....that is not walkable .
A bicycle would have u in the center in under 5-minutes (others ride atv)
Prayers for electric to be restored
❤❤❤
Is this chiklu in progreso what is the name of this beautiful beach town good spot you found❤
Chicxulub
$550 a month? Are you serious..I want to move there..
It's waiting for you :)
Me too 😅.
Can you give me more info on how I can do this
I lived in Puerto morelos and its very affordable too!
Would you give examples on the cost of food in US dollars $?
@qianaclayton4156 that depends on what level you want to eat at. Or of you go to super market or the specialty ships. They have meat & produce and fruit and vegetables shops it's great!
I use to get 3 beef tacos & Mexican coke for $4 . 3 40 Oz beers with the return bottles and 10 pack of cigarettes was $5-7 dollars. Hair cut $8
2 bedroom furnished with AC 5 minutes to beach $300
Single person can live large on $1,000,-1,500
Cost of living in Mexico is low, okay, but it doesn't help, because one can not get in easily due to the fact that Financial Requirements for the Retirement Visa are very high!
I understand. Like all other countries, they set guidelines to control the influx of people.
Wow ! Wow ! That is amazing beautiful ❤
❤❤❤
Very nice 👍
thanks for watching
Im in!!🎉
Let's do it :)
oh, man, I want to live right there:) with my doggie...happily ever after..
Come on down :)
Me too I have a golden retriever and he sleeps in the bed with me
Approx how much is electric each month in the summer? (Running the a/c.) Thanks for the tour!
Varies on how much you consume. I've seen folks pay only about $50-$75 USD every 2 months, and I've seen others spend as much as $400 USD every 2 months.
rent increases? how do those usually go? Anytime, any amount?
Typically 5% each year
It will be possible to rent only one week?
I’m wondering where the music was coming from when you were inside the apartment. Mexico can be so noisy.
Good luck.🤞
Why was there only one car parked on That parking lot. Something seems very weird about that
Busy season is over (snowbirds start leaving around March/April to return to their home countries). Most of the places on the beach are short-term rentals/AirBnBs. Folks will occupy them on the weekends until busy season returns.
The water is not crystal clear, is not really swimable, check cancun with the same budget.
Where in Mexico is this video filmed? Beach seems calm.
Chicxulub Puerto (Outside of Merida, Yucatan)
@@MoveAbroadandThrive Thank you!
Thank you for sharing, is there anymore available?
One more I believe
@@MoveAbroadandThrive ok how much is the deposit ?
Does the first condo have any available units?
Not any more available
Beautiful place Cartess
Thanks for watching
Price is right but alittle out dated...that furniture has to go!!! Lol...great for someone
jejeje
well it looks sort of nice but its sad to see they build directly on shoreline it has various bad impact on the habitation also the structures of the buildings are in doubt may last 30 years not sure if the waste water plant can manage the increase . I am not a 100 % sure but the land on shoreline belongs to military defence but the small town I like thats all i have to say.
idk
is it safe there
Yes. Very
I like minimal people around, would be great with new furniture.
Agreed
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 !
🔥🔥🔥
I’m sorry but I can’t find or recall you stating where this is.
in a small town called Chicxulub -- next to Progreso, Yucatan (30-minutes outside of Merida (the 2nd safest city in all of North America)
Is it good if you are younger and retired? Are there things to do in the evening and what is the average age range?
There are many young single folks and lots of young families moving here (not this town, but the big city outside of this town .. Look into Merida. Plenty of stuff to do. Now if you're into clubbing and having an extravagant nightlife, this probably ain't the town (Merida).
@@MoveAbroadandThrive thank you!
Beautiful ❤
i'm still shocked at the price jejee.
So how about walking distance but not on the beach?
15-20 minute walk to town center
The hurricanes hit them hard....
Idk
There hasn't been a hurricane here since 2002.
Hace un calor horrible en Yucatán
Do they have more than one
One left I believe
Streets always empty how businesses stay afloat
Due to the heat, the streets come alive in the late evening
Wow! How is the internet service? Can someone work remotely?
Yes, plenty of people work remote and live here
How far is this from the airport?
About 45 minutes
Wow!
jejee
It is beautiful beach
❤❤❤
Is this a hurricane prone area? Might be scary to be this close. But really nice, but kinda of dated.
Doesn't get hit often.
For $550 it’s not at all dated. That’s $2500 in my little Florida beach town. With mildewed furniture. Lol.
@@Mexicobeanpole Agreed. I saw others that was worse and they're charging $2000 USD 2 blocks up the street. I'll take the dated for $550 'Alex' jejeje ... I just care about and want the beach :)
Hurricanes are the least of your worries. You should be more worried about the crimes against Americans (kidnappings, robberies, and outright murder). Just two days ago, 1 American and 2 of his friends were shot in the head, execution style, just for their truck. It's been all over the news. Google "Surfers killed in Mexico". Attacks against Americans are COMMON in Mexico.
Girl bye....Americans will live in a closet in America paying 3500 but calling something dated to live in paradise.
MAN!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ whew!
I am always worried about the crime after seeing all the media about the cartels. Are they active in that area or is it relatively safe there?
Look into the city of Merida (it's the 2nd safest city in all of North America (Canada, Mexico and US). This town is about 25 minutes away from Merida. It's very very safe here. We've been here for 3-years with my daughters and wife. I would never put them in harms way. Very safe and they go about doing all the things they like. They're 15, 17 and 21 now
WOW!!
Where is this in Mexico . I didn't catch that .
Chicxulub, Yucatan (next to Progreso) ... 30 minutes from Merida
Please, where is this location.
Chicxulub, Yucatan, Mexico
I watched your video in Mexico on renting the condominium two bedroom, and I thought the condo was beautiful but when it comes to the kitchen I didn't see a stove so how the hell do you cook, cuz I'm just not a fast food microwavable girl.
There was an electric burner next to the sink covered up. But yes, for someone who loves to cook, this might not work. But, at the price point of the condo, may be worthwhile to buy a used stove out of pocket. You'll still come out on top at that price for the location.
How is the wifi service?
Definitely good enough for home use. Quite a few people live their and work out of their homes in that area.
It’s very nice, but where are the people no one in site? It’s dead looks like a Ghost Town.
Do they have a front, beach front view?????
All are gone now
@@MoveAbroadandThrive I'm waiting on my passport qnd finishing getting all my ducks in a row and ill be moving to MayaKoba, but would prefer the condos ur showing!!
@@vickieivey2376You’ll need a Visa Temporale or Permanente. Look at the website for the Mexican Consulate closest to your home. With only a passport, you’ll be able to tourist and only allowed to stay for 180 days maximum.
Anymore available
I think they're all gone.
10,000 pesos is 600 dollars
my baddd (i doubt the $50 dollar difference would deter most), but thanks. As of now, it's saying it's $595
Why the tour is so lonely?
What do you mean?
Nice
❤❤❤
THE GOOD THING ABOUT MEXICO IS THAT THE CONSUMER AND CITIZEN CAN ACTUALLY OPERATE A SMALL BUSINESS WITHOUT THE GOVT INTERFERENCE! IN AMERICA THATS NOT AT ALL POSSIBLE, AS AMERICAN POLITICIANS ARE FOR GLOBAL CORPORATE TAKEOVERS OF JUST ABOUT EVERY HUMAN OCCUPATION AND BUSINESS!
