Do web developers need their client to add them as an Admin user of sorts to their Square account OR do web developers use their clients ACTUAL admin Username & Password to link the account? Also, does Sandbox mode need to be the same user as the square account? Or can a developer have their own Square Developer login and use that across multiple sites for Sandbox tests? Hey there! Thanks for watching. I would ask your client to add your as another Team Member in Square. If you go this route make sure to add link to your email to Square’s documentation about how to add another admin user so your client does not have any trouble. Or, if easier just ask your client for their actual Admin username and password. It all depends on how comfortable your client is with you. Some do not care providing their actual username and password while others do. In regards to sandbox mode you can create a separate sandbox account for yourself to test at square.sjv.io/b35Q5b.

I have a woocommerce site. I was able to add apple pay and google pay using the stripe add in, but when I install the square add it, I can get google pay to work but apple pay is giving me an error that "Apple Pay is not available with Square - there was a problem with registering your store domain with Square/Apple Pay". Any idea how to get apple pay to work with square add in?
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Square. Select the Square location to link to this site. Locations are queried from Square and are only listed if they are Active and have Credit Card Processing enabled. To enable Credit Card Processing, you will need to go through the process of setting up your account, including verifying your identity. You can verify your identity in your Square dashboard under Setup Guide > Get Paid > Verify Your Identity.

I know that you showed how to use Stripe as a merchant on WooCommerce and thinking about using Stripe for the e-commerce site on WooCommerce and using Square for retail. Would you use Stripe merchant separately for the e-commerce and Square merchant for retail? Square told me I have to use their merchant service for the terminal, but I would prefer using Stripe on e-commerce. How would the sync perform between retail and e-commerce as far as the sales analytics is concern? What would be your suggestions? Any pro's and con's?
Hey Michael, for sure! I personally would choose one or the other for both retail and e-commerce (either Square or Stripe). So if you want to use Square for retail I would also use Square on your WooCommerce site. The biggest con of using Square for retail and Stripe for e-commerce is that there would be no sync across your inventory. Square's integration with WooCommerce allows you to automatically sync your inventories from your retail to your e-commerce site. In addition, it could get confusing having 2 separate payment gateways (1 for retail, 1 for e-commerce) and would just make things more complicated in the future. Both Square and Stripe on WooCommerce support Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc so no big difference. The payment processing fees are basically the same across the board as well (2.9% + 30c).

Hey Simon! Any help for if everything is set up properly, but Google pay is not showing the customer that their payment has gone through? No "order confirmed" or any emails. It kicks the customer back to the home page, but the order does go through on my end. To the customer it looks like it didn't, so they've been putting in duplicates. Is there an API I'm missing somewhere?

Does your site currency match your Square account currency? Is your shop located in a supported country (US, CA, UK, AU, IR, ES, FR and JP)? Is your transaction type set to “Authorization”?

I do not believe so. If you create a coupon in Square you also have to create in WooCommerce. You could use Integromat or Zapier to sync coupons between Square and WooCommerce so if a coupon is created in Square it also is created in WooCommerce.
You should be able to if you add your API keys to both stores. If you do this method and are syncing between Square and multiple WooCommerce stores I recommend having Square be your system of record.
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Square. Go to Detailed Decline Messages and enable that checkbox. Next, save the settings. Now, open up a private window or incognito window (File → New Private Window) and go through the Checkout process again. What does the error message show?
I set it up and I tried it with .50 cents. It charged me .55 but it only gave me.25 but I don’t know where the money went? Should I start all over? I still can figure out where the money is going
Are you using the latest version of the WooCommerce Square plugin? In addition what error message are you receiving? You can enable debugging by going to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Square

@@Atifeelgood did you enable logging? After enabling logging try to do another order on your site with a real credit card. Then, go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and click dropdown to view the square logs. This would be the 1st step I would do when looking at your site.

@@demomike11 You have to check using the Safari browser. That is the only time Apple Pay shows up.

there is no option for google pay...

What state are you located in? In addition, have you tried clearing your website cache and used a private window (not logged in) to access the site?
I have Square managing the payments as well as inventory, does the shipping need to be set up separately in WooCommerce?

So the money hasn’t even went to my square account. I’m worried if I start getting orders money won’t go through
